>You have to live the rest of your life in another European country that isn't yours **AND doesn't have a border with your home country.**
Thanks for giving us back Gibraltar I guess.
Gibraltar isn't part of the UK. It's a crown dependency which means it's a different country that has a special administrative partnership with Britain 😉
Denmark or the UK.
Denmark because it has many similarities with Norway, slightly better weather and Copenhagen is a great city.
The UK because I've lived there before and therefore have a pretty good idea of how things (doesn't) work.
Slovenia probably, it has almost everything, quiet, clean, ecological, green nature, sea, lakes, cute and calm in general, i will just have to adapt to food and language
Poland because I speak the language a bit, and my wife is Polish!
Or Finland because I lived there before and I absolutely loved it. Finnish people keep to themselves the way Flemish people do, but at the same time they're ten times friendlier. As opposed to the Flemish, Finnish people have no desire to make you feel like you're alone in the world; they just don't want to bother you.
Spain. The catch Is that a couple centuries ago it was actually my country.
Or Portugal... As long as I accept the fact that those are actual languages and not a mocking of Italian, I think I won't have problems, and could enjoy a slightly less horrible political situation
Scotland because redheads and because the scottish accent is hot, I don't care about the economy, it can't be any worse than Italy's anyway.
All other options have some severe cons, the nordic countries are great but their climate would make me go crazy, to live in central europe I would have to learn a germanic language and picking Greece or Spain would simply be boring.
Belgium and Luxembourg do not count as countries obviously.
Whoa that is hard.
Because of people probably Italy but I would have to live in Südtirol or I would die from heat. But they are unable to break spaghetti to cook them properly so... I do not know. Also no draft beer... shame
Switzerland is also good but hey .... I already do not have sea acces lol. But on the other hand direct democracy? Hell yeah baby. Voting out citizenship for vegans. Based! And those mountains. Sweet sweet Alps.
Finland or Denmark - based Nordicks and enough nationalistic to have some fun. Good weather, succesfull policies etc. But no mountains. That is hard to swallow.... On the other hand Finland is good at hockey... really tough. Denmark has acceptable beer tho and kept its own currency, but with ERM II it is like winning lotery and then shot itselves to knee. Worst from both worlds.
Ireland - close to whisky but being member of terrorist supporting nation stinks. Also Ireland is flat like chest of my girlfriend... Also their beer is not that good.
Slovenia - seems like great choice but it is overcrowded by tourists and I do not know much of their government. Also I do not remember drinking beer there when I was here in Karavanky. So that means it is really good or really shit. Do I wanna take chances?
Hate to tell you but Alto Adige is not a cold place, it's humid and warm in the summer and decently cold in the winter, you get to experience both extremes.
Norway itself is antithetical to any concept of civilization, as a swede I thought you knew it...
I choose Bergen so I'm sure I'm far away enough from every tourist or expat who might bring their civilization with them.
Looked it up, there is actually a small airport, booking tickets asap.
With the temperatures in Rome rn I really want to go North of the Artic Circle.
Tho there aren't fluffy polar bears to pat... :(
Nevertheless given that it's close, I'm going on a trip to Petsamo to reclaim it for the Republic of Finland :).
Ireland, so that I can still live in a country where hating the English is mandatory
You could just move to Spain then
But then I would have to live with half of Britain coming every summer
Pretty much any country I think.
I'd pick Portugal, I think it would be quite easy to fit in with the portuguese, they just seem like cool people.
Rectangular corner man 2 likes rectangular corner countries also
Why not. Good climate and best food in the PIGS.
Point one; somewhat. Point two; are you insane?!
I like fish and seafood so it’s pretty easy win.
Italy Sadly we do not share a border with them anymore
We can fix that, cant we?
A man will die, but not his ideas. Happy nation, livin' in a happy nation We need a new Bismarck so he can unite all the German people
😰
Germany sadly we do not share a border with them anymore :3

Good bot
Spain. This would dramatically reduce my lifespan though due to the abundance of balconies.

Nah, Gibraltar is Spanish now, no take-backs.
Yeah I mean I guess it's up to the people who live there. If I lived there I would choose to be Spanish but it's their call really.

Do I need to work? 🇩🇰 Just be? 🇫🇷 Actually, no land border with 🇦🇽
Iceland is such an underrated answer.
Not sure if it’s German humor or color blindness. ![gif](giphy|ANbD1CCdA3iI8)
You’ll never know. And also we.
ew france why
Handy location, good climate, versatile scenery, best food, no relatives living there.
Best food? I'll give you the chance to rephrase that
Cope better Sergio
Italia, good weather, good food, good coffee ( in Spain sucks). Maybe Greece too.
Finland. I would probably struggle to make friends but I know that if I manage to make one or two, they will stick around.
Rectangular corner man likes rectangular corner countries
Yes but Finland has cute bear ears.
LOL, no they won't. You'll have to scrape their brains off the bathroom ceiling within a year.
That was dark af!
Italy
Denmark or Luxembourg
They said another country, not a province.
But thinks how easy would be the flag transition!
Austria.
Spain 🇪🇸🫂
♥️ we'll cook you a proper Paella or Tortilla de patatas just to start arguing who's abuela recipe is right.
give me Pimientos de Padron pls
Germany. At least I speak (badly) their language.
Why tho
Weil ich ein Jahr in Deutschland wohnte.
And you think I'll use my time to translate some german, right
He said he knows German since he served in the blue division.
Italy, no doubt.
For the sake of this I will acknowledge the political border between South Tyrol and North+East Tyrol for exactly one second and say Germany.
I'd rather die
Denmark or the UK. Denmark because it has many similarities with Norway, slightly better weather and Copenhagen is a great city. The UK because I've lived there before and therefore have a pretty good idea of how things (doesn't) work.
Slovenia probably, it has almost everything, quiet, clean, ecological, green nature, sea, lakes, cute and calm in general, i will just have to adapt to food and language
Easy Choice: Südtirol
Here we are
If I couldn’t pick where in the country, I would say Finland
Greece 🇬🇷 I’m coming back brothers
Probably Sweden. Long winters, grey skies, rain and alcoholism to make me feel at home.
Norway. I would maintain my deep hatred against the swedes in fellowship with my new countrymen. I would basically just have to learn to talk.
Croatia bc i like the beach and the relative lack of diversity
I visit Croatia every year for summer. Every year we play the game “spot the black” usually in a month we see only one, and it’s a tourist.
Greece. I'm half greek anyway
Uh... probably Greece?
Poland because I speak the language a bit, and my wife is Polish! Or Finland because I lived there before and I absolutely loved it. Finnish people keep to themselves the way Flemish people do, but at the same time they're ten times friendlier. As opposed to the Flemish, Finnish people have no desire to make you feel like you're alone in the world; they just don't want to bother you.
Wait, you're saying that the Finnish is 10 times friendlier than the Flemish? ..what?
Yes, absolutely.
Ten times a very small number is still a very small number
Switzerland
Well, I already picked Germany, thank you. :D
What is this new flair ?
I live in NRW, but not born here, so I asked what to do in this case, and mods were kind enough to give me this offensive flair. :)
Grudgingly, Denmark.
Same.
same
Denmark it is
Denmark.
Being from above the Alps and not picking a South Euro country is objectively inting tbh
Sweden. I'm not looking to meet people
I would move to Ireland. Actually I already did that
Norway or Netherlands.
What are the rules if you have moved countries already?
Already did; I've lived in Switzerland for over a third of my life now. Good stuff; I like it here.
Wales. My proclivities are well catered for there.
Where I am already doing that. I have been living abroad for almost 8 years now.
Austria
I guess Iceland. I like the cold, I like the quiet and if nothing else, at the very least I won't have to worry the sea's vengeance.
Norway.
Austria, please.
Spain. The catch Is that a couple centuries ago it was actually my country. Or Portugal... As long as I accept the fact that those are actual languages and not a mocking of Italian, I think I won't have problems, and could enjoy a slightly less horrible political situation
Danish bros🇩🇰
Spain. Imagine the horror 😎
Probably Czechia honestly, so much beautiful history and scenery.
Spain at least good food wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg
Portugal. Is a diet of only Pasteis de Nata and LBV Port sustainable in the long run?
Explosive diarrhea. Trust me.
Worth it!
Portugal. Because I like sardines.
Italy for the landscape and food Switzerland for the landscapes Netherlands because I have tvis weird fondness about windmills and bycicles.
Spain of course
I can choose whatever country just like that? Well, I'll go with Norway of course!
Sweden or Norway
Norway or Spain. I don’t like people, but I like sunshine.
Liechtenstein. Feels like cheating but ye, it doesnt share a border with Germany, only with Switzerland and Austria.
Lichtenstein. Nothing changes.
Croatia.
Back to Ireland I go.
South France or Italy
slovenia
Poland, Czech republic or Switzerland in that order
Tricky, do we acknowledge Corsica as an independent country?
Portugal, nice and easy going country
Slovenia 🇸🇮
Liechtenstein, because I don't want to learn any new language and also I like tax fraud
Sweden or Finland I like the cold
Switzerland, no question. Give me some mountains any day
Somewhere with good climate and hot bitches, so definitely not the UK
Whoa that is hard. Because of people probably Italy but I would have to live in Südtirol or I would die from heat. But they are unable to break spaghetti to cook them properly so... I do not know. Also no draft beer... shame Switzerland is also good but hey .... I already do not have sea acces lol. But on the other hand direct democracy? Hell yeah baby. Voting out citizenship for vegans. Hate to tell you but Alto Adige is not a cold place, it's humid and warm in the summer and decently cold in the winter, you get to experience both extremes.
I know I was there last summer. You should really do something about your mountain roads. Also Longarone is quite nice
Norway, Bergen in particular, so I'm far enough from any sort of civilisation.
>"I want to be far away from any sort of civilization" >[Moves to the second-largest city in Norway]
Norway itself is antithetical to any concept of civilization, as a swede I thought you knew it... I choose Bergen so I'm sure I'm far away enough from every tourist or expat who might bring their civilization with them.
Lots of tourists in Bergen. It also rains like 3/4 of the year.
Ok, then I'll go to Bodø to hate the local football team. I'm a Roma fan.
Try Berlevåg 👌
Looked it up, there is actually a small airport, booking tickets asap. With the temperatures in Rome rn I really want to go North of the Artic Circle. Tho there aren't fluffy polar bears to pat... :( Nevertheless given that it's close, I'm going on a trip to Petsamo to reclaim it for the Republic of Finland :).
Lots of possibilities there!
He's not wrong. Nothing civilised in Bergen.
Belgium. Because I love beer and hate myself
Germany, out of nothing but pure spite.
Iceland. Depressing weather, alcoholism and shit food. I'd be right at home
Spain, as far away from russkies as possible and a lot of sun.
I already live in Spain and I can't imagine living anywhere else. But...Portugal probably.
New zealand. I live in switzerland so I'm used to a superior standard that cannot be found in europe. 💅 Also car stuff in new zealand is awesome
