Tinkercad is by far amazing and straightforward, in blender it is a hassle sometimes compared to tinkercad

Blender is hard. If you're designing functional parts I'd recommend OnShape.

Yeah, seems about right. For more in depth work, I'd recommend something like blender (my preference) or fusion 360.

Totally agree. Looking at that or maybe Fusion. Obviously for a more technical project like this I needed a legit power horse. Yes… power horse.

Just note that other Non-CAD modeling programs will export models waaaay too small. I use Blender, and Nomad Sculpt on iPad and both needed to be scaled up by 1000% or more depending on the model. Good luck Edit: Windows 11 (according to a friend that has it) it comes with 3D Builder by default, and can be downloaded for free from Microsoft's store. Might be a decent option for anyone else looking around.

You need to change your scale size in your scheme. Once I did i never had a problem with exporting models.

I’ve been using Fusion 360 for over a year, and absolutely love it. Did not like blender though.

Seconded recommendation for fusion 360. I used freecad before it, but freecad is too punishing for doing the wrong thing. It crashes a ton. I was apprehensive of F360 because of their online model, but I never have more than their 10 projects open at once, and you can always export the .step or just the .stl from the app. Easy to use, great tutorials online.
