No the recruiter just opens the req, the hiring manager is the one that request the offers, the recruiter can make recommendations to the hiring manager, but honestly most BUs are now having to use the FLUID app to select applicants, it will give your “qualifications” and time in roles, but that’s about it, they won’t know your name specifically.
From the way my lvl 6 explained it was that the recruiter or someone from central selects the interviewees, then I think central selects who passed the interview, then the questions and answers are given to the hiring manager where they select the person with the best answers(without knowing who it was) from what he said they don’t know who they ‘selected’ till the end. I know there’s ways to cheat since if you practice the questions they will know who answered what. Out of all the managers I’ve spoken to he’s probably the only one I trust when it comes to following Amazon’s rules to a T. I heard the hiring manager really has no say on what happened other than making some recommendations. Maybe I’m wrong and they lied lol but maybe things have changed.
