Jim browning
A scam exposer i believe he might be northern Irish but I could be wrong but he is interesting to watch and shows how all the scams we see today operate. As well as a scam he fell for himself and points out how the vast majority of the time the scam is clearly a scam but only takes fortunate timing and circumstances for it to work even on a man like him who goes after scammers. Highly recommended for any slightly older relatives that might still be up for watching YouTube videos it's entertaining and educational to view.
Martjn Doolard. Renovation of a stone cabin in the alps. He has exceptional eye for detail and an absolute artistry in the way he films. It's quiet too, not that much talking just nature sounds.
i love Ask A Mortician, really empathetic and in-depth view into a variety of stories and topics as they pertain to death and death care. also covers a lot of both more and less well known true crime stories but from a rarely heard perspective.
Be Kind Rewind is maybe my favourite channel on youtube, covers old hollywood history with a particular focus on actresses - started as a chronicling of Best Actress Oscar wins/nominees, but has branched out into wider film history through the prism of feminism and the female experience.
Rare Earth is a great one as well, i haven’t checked in on it in a while but he does extremely cool videos of little known places around the world, if i remember right he’s the son of your man on the ISS who seems like the nicest man.
Derek Cullen, the man's walked the length of Africa, been around the whole of Ireland, and is now on the appalachian trail which is 2000 miles+, well worth a look
*cycled the length of Africa * but yes he’s a great lad. My sister met him in Tanzania, I think, back when he was passing through 10+ years ago. In 2019 I was hiking the pacific crest trail and checked the trail log at a spot and happily found a fellow Irish hiker, Derek Cullen. He never stops moving!
He did a short series of episodes of him interviewing personalities while on a hike which was a great idea, https://youtu.be/ydbFJcJVSfw?feature=shared first episode with pat divilly for anyone interested
Not sure if many people know him but I like watching Sam The Cooking Guy. Makes some really nice food and he’s fairly laid back so makes it easy to watch.
Tiny Cabin Life - It's about a guy who builds tiny cabins and goes off on camping expeditions in the wilderness with them. It's quite good if you are into nature and scenery.
Kent Survival is worth checking out too. Seems like a decent lad and always eager to try cooking different meals on the campfire. He actually made a spice bag in one of the videos
These two are pretty niche. Joe franta. He documents life as a crew member on different types of ships. I find it interesting, no idea why though. And CEE or cutting edge engineering in Australia. Loads of metal fabrication and machining. I get kind of hypnotised by the lathe.
Another guy a bit closer to home is Snowball engineering, think he’s in Yorkshire. Very agricultural and not as polished looking as CEE, but I love his videos too.
Green Dot Aviation is an Irish YouTube channel that discusses aviation crashes and is really good
Medlife Crisis and Dr Hope are both doctors who have some accessible, entertaining content
Chubbyemu is fairly mainstream but also great
Alex o Connor is great if you like philosophy/ethics/religion but isnt something you can really play in the background
Love the Green Dot Aviation content. He has a fantastic voice and really explains well what is happening with drowning you in too much technical information
The Hoof GP. He’s a Scottish hoof trimmer who mainly handles dairy cows, but occasionally trims bulls too. Great mixture of humor, Scottish countryside views, and cows getting their feet fixed up.
Not exactly a hidden gem, but Geowizard's content is excellent. Particularly the straight line missions and "how not to travel" series. They somehow manage to be both relaxing and suspenseful at the same time. Highly recommend.
I’ve been watching Tim Cain a lot. Game developer who created the original Fallout game. Lots of great stories and insight into game development if you’re interested. Honestly the best YouTube channel to pop up in years in my opinion.

Grandpa’s kitchen. I like Indian food and often cook something inspired by Indian cuisine, and it helps me with new ideas. It also helps me calm down and relax.
Baumgartner Restoration: Art conservator who does absolutely fascinating videos showing the process and techniques behind the conservation of paintings and sculptures. Relaxing, informative, and extremely satisfying to watch. If you're interested in art or are just looking for a cosy watch, I can't recommend it highly enough.
I'm also mad into anything involving the paranormal. Channels like Bedtime Stories, The Paranormal Scholar, Mystery Archives, and Lemmino are excellent for scratching the itch.
If you want a good laugh, Internet Historian is a must.
Benn Jordan - if you like music production, stuff about ambient sound recording
Beau Miles - Australian adventurer, dad, filmmaker, fitness guy, all round incredible story teller, always a joy.
The Unlazy Way - Scandinavian fella who does lots of endurance training and adventure stuff, also a phenomenal filmmaker and a joy to watch.
Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan - a mix of very comedic interviews with weird and wonderful characters, and some very real boots on the ground journalism. Guy deserves all the recognition he can possibly get
This is a great post! Getting loads of ideas.
Rambalac- Walking videos of Japan. Hypnotic and relaxing- no talking
Actionkid- Walking videos of mostly New York. He does talk during videos.
“Internet of bugs” youtube channel.
He’s a senior software engineer with a shit load of experience and knowledge and he has some very insightful videos on tech related stuff. His videos are straight to the point and of high quality.
One of his latest videos where he debunked the AI software engineer Devin, went viral, I would highly recommend if you work in or have an interest in software development.
Honourable mention: Thriving technologist
Surviving ringworm... Ryan purchased land and builts everything with just some tools and a chainsaw mill. Some of the things he builds are whacky and so cool. He has a video out every Saturday. He has a great sense of humour.
My little homestead.. really nice family and have build lots of unique buildings
Haircut harry…a guy that travels the world to get his hair cut :)
Irish baker abroad… a guy living in Denmark who teaches you how to bake Irish stuff. He’s actually hilariously funny and educational at the same time.
Brockstone landscape construction Liverpool…this is niche :) a high end hard landscaping crowd that do top quality work. A joy to watch if you like crafts people. The head guy has the thickest Liverpool accent you have ever heard :)
Jose monkey - people record short videos and he geo locates them using info from the video .
Dylan graves - interesting surf series , where he surf very fun/wild/novelty waves
Ryan mcbeth - interesting videos on defense
Peter Zeihen - short videos on geopolitics, a bit sensationalist but interesting to get the story behind the news
I watch SuperRaeDizzle. She talks about art and tried unusual art supplies and the likes. She has over 2 million subscribers but at the same time I feel like a lot of people don’t know who she is
Living big in a tiny house (kiwi guy who travels the world filming peoples tiny homes, it’s weirdly soothing)
Karl Watson travel documentaries (reason I decided to go backpacking and ultimately move to another country)
London Eats is something I happened upon very recently.
It's basically a fella with a go pro doing deliveries on the side around London and other UK cities.
Oddly addictive.
Sabbatical - really cool and genuine guy who goes travelling across the globe and getting to know the real character of the places he visits. Often showcases sides of places you wouldn’t know excited and he’s a polyglot who also has some vids on how to learn languages. Really cool to see people’s reactions change when he shows he understands their language/culture
Struthless has been monumental for my mental health. But besides that, the videos are well made and entertaining. I would definitely recommend to anyone
Off the left eye . It’s a spiritual channel but it speaks to me so much better than religious dogma , it’s very interesting and mostly based around love snd goodness / kindness
Project farm…it’s American. A guy tests all kinds of stuff from drills to car jacks. From cheapest to most expensive to see which ones are actually worth the money. Interesting enough, but his voice takes a bit of getting used to :).
Every Frame A Painting. Nerdy and slightly pretentious film school video essays about movies and TV shows. Very well produced and has some great insights.
Kris Harbour Natural Building. He has built himself an amazing off grid small holding from literally nothing and made a business out of it aswell. He’s an exceptionally talented guy and he’s inspiring in a lot of ways.
> Investanswers for crytpo
> Jamari for commentary on pop junk
LBC for finding out what is happeing with noisy neighbours
> Breakingpoints for fairly neutra globall news
> Coffezilla for entertainment and learning about scams
> Lex Fridman who is like oldschool Joe Rogan, interesting guests and allows them to give their opinion
> Channel four
> Wargraphics and Kings&Generals for indepth interesting analysis and upadates of Ukraine & Gaza wars
Our Travel Place
I have subscribed to many travel channels, but this British couple has the best I've seen by a wide margin. The focus is on helpful tips on the destination, and not on themselves. The only downside is they don't have a lot of videos.

He’s brilliant. Has even worked with international agencies and TV to expose them. Very calming voice too.
Does he give tips for us to create our own get rich quick scams? Lotto has not worked out forme
I'll be honest that's the only reason I'm watching him anymore a man can dream
One of those victimless scams where you're just ripping off a big corporation would be the job
Same, I also enjoy Kitboga's scam baiting as well especially after a drive home from work.
Oh ya man completely forgot about him cheers for the reminder 😂
Martjn Doolard. Renovation of a stone cabin in the alps. He has exceptional eye for detail and an absolute artistry in the way he films. It's quiet too, not that much talking just nature sounds.
Yeah he’s class. He also cycled around the world and has a video of that on his channel. Very well shot.
i love Ask A Mortician, really empathetic and in-depth view into a variety of stories and topics as they pertain to death and death care. also covers a lot of both more and less well known true crime stories but from a rarely heard perspective. Love Ask a Mortician, she's amazing 👏.
[Bobby Fingers](https://youtube.com/@bobbyfingers?si=RUZ35_M5Lz5hVXE_) literally makes the best content on YouTube
Jesus, that Jeff Bezos head rowing boat was something else. 😂
I just opened it on YouTube... with a prime ad I shit you not🤣
Ha. I was just about to say Bobby Fingers when I read your comment. FABIIIOOO
Discovered recently, gas stuff!
Nothing better. What an absolute legend.
I quite like outdoor boys. Great channel on hiking and camping and survival tips etc.
Your man is a legend
I'm always starving watching him cook his meals. Especially when he breaks out the honey butter!
Derek Cullen, the man's walked the length of Africa, been around the whole of Ireland, and is now on the appalachian trail which is 2000 miles+, well worth a look

Cool. Great spot. Thanks
Appalachian trail sounds pretty spooky. Do you know that part of the Appalachians are in Donegal
Peter Santenello
Haven’t watched Peter in a while now, great great insights
Has a good series where he meets Mormons and another where he meets Amish and Mennonite people
My favourite is the Appalachian series 😊
Not sure if many people know him but I like watching Sam The Cooking Guy. Makes some really nice food and he’s fairly laid back so makes it easy to watch.
I like backyard chef for the same reasons. Makes great food that you could produce yourself, not some Instagram friendly fake food.
I must check out that channel too.
Francis Higgins It's almost 6 o clock
I’m out of San pel!!
I am making a Mercedes do you take sugar?
Tiny Cabin Life - It's about a guy who builds tiny cabins and goes off on camping expeditions in the wilderness with them. It's quite good if you are into nature and scenery.
Kent Survival is worth checking out too. Seems like a decent lad and always eager to try cooking different meals on the campfire. He actually made a spice bag in one of the videos
I've seen a couple of his videos too. They're very good too
I find his videos like a little hoilday! So relaxing😌
Another one that I've watched a fair bit of is Go4x4, nice to have on in the background as it's the sounds of camping rather than people talking
Must add to the list cheers
These two are pretty niche. Joe franta. He documents life as a crew member on different types of ships. I find it interesting, no idea why though. And CEE or cutting edge engineering in Australia. Loads of metal fabrication and machining. I get kind of hypnotised by the lathe.
Joe Franta is superb!! I love it
CEE is fkn brilliant!! Love his chanel
Another guy a bit closer to home is Snowball engineering, think he’s in Yorkshire. Very agricultural and not as polished looking as CEE, but I love his videos too.
