Royalewithnaynays

Looks like a prolapse. Good on yall for taking them in to the vet

skippyspk

Pssshhh please I’ve seen worse; more like amateur-lapse! Seriously though good on you for taking care of the kitty.

Royalewithnaynays

I'm gonna admit, you got a laugh out of me 😂

skippyspk

🤣😂

Beneficial-Many8415

Poor baby has a rectal prolapse. The vet will be able to fix it!

mle32000

Ok thank y’all for somewhat calming my nerves lol

Beneficial-Many8415

I want an update! Lol

okiephotographer

One of our cats, a large Manx, was found with a pretty severe prolapse as a kitten. It’s fairly common with the Manx breed as they are tail-less and have a shortened body. We got him at 5 weeks, got the prolapse fixed surgically, and he is now almost 4 years old and has not had any prolapse issues since! Recovery from the surgery took a while and was real touch and go. Going to have to get used to cleaning up the back side for a few weeks I’m afraid. Wishing you the best!!!

crooneu35

I had a kitten who’s now 6 years old. The first few months I had him he had a prolapse but it went away when he got a little older . We found him he was only 1 or 2 weeks old so that may have been a factor my vet said.

mle32000

I love my Manxes so much <3

terf-genocide

I've always thought my mom's manx bad a slightly weird butthole. Interesting lol

LuckyPurpose5414

How much was the cost of the surgery???

okiephotographer

If I remember correctly it was somewhere in the $700 range. Give it take a little. We have a small farm and lots of animals so we use a more rural vet that has pretty good prices. Once you find a good vet you gotta stick with them!

LuckyPurpose5414

Ok thanks a lot. I have a small cat that has a little something back there, it's really small though so it doesn't look that bad, but it is dark in color. She's acting completely normal, but I'm going to get it looked at just in case.

maxxhill

That right that there is an in-side-out cat asshole.

mle32000

Lmaoooo

Prestigious_Ad_4882

Cherry butt, rectal prolapse from straining. Good call with the vet, they will be able to put it back and diagnose the reason that it happened in the first place.

mle32000

Update : it actually self corrected(?) before they even arrived at the vet. She’s gonna be getting wet food or wet food mixed in with some dry food from now on. Thanks again to everyone who replied quickly while I was panicking at work!

Impressive_Handle513

Op, please have the vet look for bladder stones. My kitty had NO intestinal issues but we were back at the vet 3x in 3 weeks for anal prolapse (that’s the name for it). But it wasn’t related to her intestines. She’d been straining to pee so much that it caused the anal issue. SCREEN FOR BLADDER STONES! (Unless you just like hanging at st expensive vet ERs!😉)

heathazedazed

my sweet orange boy had such issues with bladder stones, even after surgery, we had to lay him to rest. bladder stones are no joke !!

mle32000

Yea this wasn’t mentioned at all. Thanks for sharing I will definitely bring this up

Beast667Neighbour

Judging by the picture, it appears to be a severe inflammation of the anus. If it's a prolapse, the vet will assess it, sometimes it's hard to distinguish between these two issues without a physical examination. Either way cat needs a vet check asap. Is the cat protected against internal parasites? The treatment may involve anti-inflammatory cream, anti - parasite therapy, and iodine therapy (povidone iodine antiseptic) in case of inflammation. Vet should also prescribe temporary food diet that will facilitate easier bowel movements. You can ask if you can add a few drops of olive oil/pumpkin puree to the food later, which will help with defecation.

Fantastic-Break2876

My kitten had this a couple months ago, after pooping her butt would look like this but it would go back to normal after about 15 minutes. I took her to the vet and they recommended giving her a lot more wet food to make her poop come softer and come out easier. I give her wet food twice a day now (previously she only had it once a day), and I haven’t seen her have this issue since! But still definitely take her to the vet.

sillygoofyegg

yall seriously need to use the nsfw thing!!

mle32000

Oh my bad

PunkFishKeeping

Prolapsed booty, poor kitty. Ik your vet will recommend this, but do try and introduce probiotics to your cats diet :)

Alphrina_Elric

That is a prolapse and should be taken to the vet

zotstik

looks like a prolapsed butthole. I would definitely take him to the vet ASAP

Organic_Pizza_9549

So good of you to take kitty to the vet! But yea I have to agree with everyone else on here looks like a prolapse ☹️hope for a speedy recovery! ❤️‍🩹

loSur_

please nsfw this i need some bleach holy hell but good on you for not waiting on the vet trip !(my eyes😭)

rookhelm

It's inflamed, and along with the diarrhea, means she likely has some intestinal issues. Could be bacteria or parasite. Nothing to panic about yet, but the vet will prescribe a med or 2.

Adventurous_Set_3787

That poor baby is struggling to poop. There are so many reasons for constipation in kitties. The most detrimental are associated with kidney disease, which could lead to a more serious issue: mega colon. Thank goodness yall are heading to the vet. They should give him emergency fluids and a laxative plan. Usually, miralax is prescribed and totally harmless to felines. Ultimately, this is not always just a one-time isolated issue. The kitty will need to be taken completely off dry food and only eat wet food. Dry food is a poor source of water and nutrition for kitty. I know because my baby deals with it, but he is living a very happy life. I just have to take extra care. Good luck.

[deleted]

this was EXACTLY what my manx kitten looked like when we got him, it was inflammation the vet said was due to a parasite the shelter didn’t test for or treat. we treated him for the parasite and had to apply some cream (ugh i know) onto the anus and it worked itself out for the most part, he’s completely fine and thriving now :) don’t worry too much the vets will help you

Character-Version365

Needs to be poked back in with a stitch.

No_Specific947

Cats ass and it looks like someone’s been playing with it

Cancer

kn_

This is almost certainly a bad joke, and an even worse diagnosis.
