If your kitten suddenly loses all their energy, you need to schedule a vet trip asap. Kittens can fade very quickly. If you notice the energy is still markedly lower than just hours before, that is cause for concern.

Thair_redit

The vet doesn't open until tomorrow, nothing here open at Fridays, the problem is I have really important exams and losing my cat will destroy me

Royalewithnaynays

I'm not sure what to tell you. You can wait and make sure you keep your kitten warm, fed, and watered, but that's about all that can be recommended for at-home care without an assessment by a vet. Is the kitten eating normally?

Thair_redit

No she didn't eat at all

Royalewithnaynays

Then try your best to keep her warm, maybe with a heating pad in a cardboard box or something like that, and get to the vet as soon as possible.

Can you try something extra enticing like wet food or Churu treats? If she turns that down then she's definitely not feeling well.

littlegoddessnymphy

How are they doing?

Thair_redit

She is getting better thank you

littlegoddessnymphy

I'm so glad to hear!

Cats don't need bathing. At all. They groom and clean themselves. Maybe it was too stressful.

two-of-me

OP used human shampoo. This could be the problem. If there was any left she probably licked it off and could have been poisoned.

porraSV

Ok. How small is she? What did you bath her with? Did you checked if the products are safe? If not she might be poisoned from grooming herself. If she is small she might have gotten too cold and be prone to develop infections. She might also be traumatised as cats normally do not need a bath. So try to warm her up in your lap now and see how she reacts while you check the products you used. Call the vet in the next 3-6 hours if there is no improvement. Call the vet immediately if she gets worse.

Thair_redit

I bathed her with hair shampoo

mgefa

WHAT shampoo? Also 8 days ago you posted that your cat was sick, what was it then?

two-of-me

That could be a problem. Human shampoo should never be used on cats. It’s bad for their skin and fur. Cats rarely require bathing, and that’s only if they’re dirty from getting into something or are old and stop being able to groom themselves properly. If you must bathe your cat, use cat shampoo. Remember, cats lick themselves constantly so if you left any shampoo on her she could have licked it off and gotten sick from it. Get her to the vet asap.

Thair_redit

I bathed her with this shampoo before and nothing happened, maybe she licked some, and I don't know what to do,there are no vets now,and the only thing I can do is to search online, can you help with any advice

two-of-me

The only advice I can give you is to find a vet. Lethargy and lack of appetite are serious symptoms in a kitten and could be a sign of almost any illness you can think of. Find a vet even if you have to drive hours to get there, this absolutely cannot be ignored or treated at home because we don’t know what the underlying cause of her symptoms is. Also stop bathing your cat. They groom themselves and are very good about maintaining their cleanliness. The only time you should be bathing her is if she gets dirty, which should be rare if you’re responsible and keep her indoors. My 10 year old has only had one bath in her life and that’s when she stepped in wet paint. Find a vet. This is an emergency.

Don't bathe your cat anymore btw, it's not necessary at all under normal circumstances. Please promise you'll stop giving her baths.

Thair_redit

Alright I thought that I had to

two-of-me

Please do some research on raising indoor cats. One of the first things you’ll find is that they do not need baths (unless they get really dirty somehow). Honestly that’s one of my favorite parts about having a cat. No need for bathing or daily walks. Just feed, play, love.

Don__Geilo

I wouldn't say what you describe are symptoms of poisoning (not a vet though). Maybe your cat as a cold.

mgefa

WHAT shampoo? Aldo 8 days ago you posted that your cat was sick, what was it then?

porraSV

Gives brand, and model and what country. Somethings are ok for humans can kill cats. At least a photo. How is she?

RVXZENITH

Okay listen, it sounds like due to poor research on bathing you might have given your cat a cold. Her immune system as a result went down and she is lethargic. I also read your response that you don't have a vet nearby. So first things first * Use a dropper or syringe to hydrate your cat, they need to be hydrated in this situation, if you can buy oral electrolytes for cats, even better! But my main advice is to keep your cat hydrated * Keep your cat in a warm place, use a safe heater under her favorite blanket for example * Cuddle her a lot, give her human contact and a safe and dark place to heal and recover * Try to give her different types of food, wet, solid etc, alternate if you must and get some food inside of her. (DONT FORCE FEED) FINALLY never bathe your cats with human shampoo and don't bathe them unless they got something sticky or harmful on their body. You are not supposed to bathe them at all if possible.

Don__Geilo

Try to keep her warm, but you need to see a vet if it does not get better as of tomorrow

Shponglenese

Vet immediately she’s been poisoned by the shampoo

Thair_redit

I took her to the vet in another city,he said that she had cold after bath and gave her medicine

My cats all have their little routines and each have a certain time of day they typically spend hanging out with me. Every time one of them “misses” our usual time, I worry a little. Most of the time I go find them and they’re just napping or distracted by a bird outside or something. Usually nothing. But if any of my cats don’t come running into the kitchen at Mach 9 at meal time, something is WRONG
