I would totally study for FAR and take that Dec 20th and then retake AUD! I had to retake FAR a 3 times and what had helped me is the third time I took a break and did a different exam, passed that, and then came back to FAR. FAR also is helpful to have studied for and passed before taking AUD as well from what I’ve heard! I’m currently studying for AUD right now. Plus if you pass AUD, then you are already working on passing your last CPA exam!

I would say request your board for exam Credit extension. They might give you some extra time.

Inevitable-Ad2397

I honestly didn’t think that was a possibility, do you think they would extend it for deaths in the family?

TrainingApprehensive

Yes they might. Give it a try. Tell them why you were not able to study. Give them proper reasoning and proofs if needed.

I’d say none of us felt confident walking out of all of our exams. You’ve passed your first two exams so your method of exam prep works and you should believe in your AUD score. Start studying for FAR! When studying, the advice given to me was to immediately start for the next exam and worst case do the retake later. You have it all planned out - you got it!

The opinion of somebody without a section passed should be taken with a grain of salt. They don’t know you, nor do they know how hard you work. You and I are on the same timeline (I still need to sit for REG/BEC). FAR in two months is entirely doable. Just study as much as you can every day. Everybody’s different, but I’d aim to take it by Dec 8.

Thank you ❤️ good luck on REG and BEC!! I believe in you. Taking on December 8th would definitely give me more wiggle room, I’ll aim for that and see if it is working out for me

Thank you ❤️

I've only passed BEC, so take my advice as you will. IMO, start studying for FAR asap. That's the big one. You don't wanna spend too much time on AUD and not have enough time for FAR, and you may have passed AUD for all you know. Studying for a retake now may be unnecessary, and it's going to eat into your FAR study time. And don't listen to people who say it's not possible. I know someone who studied for FAR for only a week and a half and passed on his first try. But, he did study for like 16 hours each day. Point being, anything is possible.

Thank you so much, your comment really helped put things into perspective for me. Congrats on passing BEC!! That one felt like the hardest for me so far

I dont think its possible to be done by January 14th. But all you can do is try. Edit: see second post.

Oh I didnt see you took AUD. I thought you had FAR and AUD left. Yeah its possible, at that point take it the last possible day, I have failed FAR twice with 700 hours\~taking FAR tomorrow. So yes it was impossible for me to do in 2 months (rn at 6 months of studying) and still blows my mind people are able to even pass. I guess I am just retarded idk.

Inevitable-Ad2397

Thanks for the follow up man. You aren’t retarded, especially if you have a masters in accounting. Idc what people say, accounting is very hard. Odds are you just aren’t using a study method that works for you/ are taking too long before you take the exam.

chopsormokes

I mean it’s definitely doable. I’d say get started on FAR and try to make a dent in the material. Are you studying full time?

Inevitable-Ad2397

Much love to you for the positivity❤️ I mean I’m starting far tomorrow and I’ll have 2 full months before my test. It seems like that’s the average amount of time for it, right? I’m working too but only 30 hours a week. Plus November and December are usually not busy at all.

im_a_pimp

2 full months is totally doable! but if you truly don’t feel good about audit i would refresh like the other commenters said

[deleted]

Start studying for FAR soon. Who knows maybe you did pass, these exams are very unpredictable. But, every 2-3 days, do a few MCQs for audit so you are able to refresh on few aud concepts. Seeing how you got around 2 months, I wouldn’t waste the next 2 weeks studying for audit if you end up finding out that you passed if you get what I mean

Yeah I agree with the first commenter but ayyy you just might be superman those are good scores
