One thing to consider is that DreamStation machines use 12 volts and ResMed uses 24 volts. 12 volts makes it easier and more efficient for use on battery power. But, I agree the ResMed machines have some other advantages.

Thanks for that. I think I am willing to take the hit on being energy efficient in order to get the other advantages.

Resmed has advantages like less cancer per cubic inch of sound-abating foam.

Actually the part I don't like about DreamStation machines is that they are too quick to reduce pressure in Auto mode. The pressure keeps going up and down all night unless you limit it by increasing trhe minimum pressure or put it in fixed pressure CPAP mode. I also do not like that they display two leak rates in OSCAR, one total and one net of mask vent leakage. Last I am not so sure their Flex is as good as the ResMed EPR. On the foam thing I often wonder how much use of the SoClean machine with ozone had to do with it, and if Phillips has sued SoClean.

Look at Medistrom for batteries. You route power through it and if power ever drops, your machine keeps on trucking without a care in the world. They're small and you can fly with them. Turn off humidity and the heated hose and you'll likely get two nights out camping.

Thank you!
