That’s a real Trailblazer right there, even what the original Trailblazer should’ve been, smal compact body on a s10 frame, so sad they don’t offer this option in the States
I really don't get why they won't sell these here. Some of us want our SUVs to be truck based and would be interested in this, and would never buy a unibody FWD based crossover.
It must be because it is a rustic SUV, I don't know American taste well but I think they prefer something more modern and comfortable
Here is something more rustic, this SUV is often used as a police vehicle and by farmers because of its robustness.
Previously it was offered with two engine options V6 gasoline and 2.8 Duramax diesel
Unfortunately, the V6 option failed in sales because for the Brazilian public, trucks and pickup trucks must be diesel.
God bless you Brazil. What's sad is GM has two really good diesel engines they could've used in the USA, the 2.8 VM Motori they used in the previous Colorado model years, or the excellent 3.0l Isuzu used in the Holden trucks down in Oz.
You might be more educated than I am on the subject honestly, I just know the last diesel SUV’s Chevy had made were the gmt400’s with the 6.5 Detroit , please correct me if I’m wrong too I don’t like to spread misinformation 😭
There is nothing wrong with the current versions of the GM 3.6L. We do zero major repair work on those engines. It's literally the least problematic engine that I see on a day to day basis as a GM technician. I feel confident enough in that engine that my wife's car and my truck, which are both purchases and not leases, have one of them in it.
The major improvements (Gen 4) debuted in 2016 Cadillac models and the older design high feature V6 was completely out of production vehicles by the 2018 model year.
That’s awesome! It’s too bad GM doesn’t offer a version of that here in the states. At least Chevy is now offering a Z71 version of the Traverse but for people who don’t want a vehicle that large, they’re kinda screwed. I’m a building inspector and public works inspector so I need ground clearance on my vehicle. Plus I have 2 kids and the wife wants a 3rd so I’m stuck with either a Z71 Traverse or a Silverado (My Colorado isn’t going to cut it).
I looked at a Traverse this morning and it still needs more ground clearance for what I do. Maybe if I get lucky, GM will make a Trail Boss version
3 car seats in the back seat won’t work. Plus, my 4 yr old daughter complains nonstop about not having enough leg room. I had a 21 Traverse and it handled some ridiculous job sites remarkably well, and it got great gas mileage for such a large vehicle. I wouldn’t have traded it if it had the same ground clearance as a Colorado/Silverado.
The Traverse I saw today was in between a Colorado and a Silverado. Looked about 2” shorter than the trucks 🙄
2.8 Duramax Turbodiesel The transmission is an 8-speed automatic (same as the new Colorado) Except in the version sold to the police, which is the V6 with manual transmission

I want 4x4 or awd and a column shift and I’m so in
This.
I'm guessing government fuel economy standards.
Why do these countries get better suvs than us

No dude we just want affordable vehicles.
Also no hair on the undercarriage
Just goes to show you, if you want a truck base suv go to Brazil, or elsewhere. Then pay a huge tariff to bring it back to the US.
Hope to god it’s not a 3.6 or a 5 cyl under the hood.
It's a 2.8 Duramax Turbodiesel
As it should be. Keep that fail V6 away.

That’s actually wicked they offer that in Brazil!! Those are put into the new gen Tahoe/Yukons now as well first diesel full size SUV since the 90’s
Can you explain? I thought the Yukon and Tahoe had 3.0 Duramax’s? Different stroke same block or am I missing something?

Interesting. From what year does this apply?

This is a Colorado underneath, like the previous generation. Called the Colorado 7 in Australia.

Why wouldn't the Colorado cut it? I'd rather a Colorado over a Traverse any day of the week.

What are the engine options and the drivetrain options

So fuck us Americans cause a v6 manual or even a 5.3 manual sounds badass
Hahahaha but it's not for civil use, just for police use The only way to get one of these is at auction.
Nicer than the shit they give us to buy. Ford and Toyota too.
What are the engine options and the drivetrain options
They have them in mexico i think
