The Pure Vanilla server is full of OG and really experienced players, while the Dark Cacao server has more newer players. The reason it is recommended is because the Dark Cacao server is the newest and has the least players; they don’t want to overload one server.
If ur a new player you should prob delete or switch acc and wait for Golden Cheese, because in PV you would need a lv 75 team to get at least master, while in Golden Cheese everyone will be new and you can get a lot of gems from ranking based events.
I'm not a new player, i have been playing in June 2022, then had a pause for over a year, and started this month, from a newer account, but still from June. Thank you for this reply though, with no level of additude, i do have a question, what are ranking based events?
Like an example of one.
Like Arena (PvP), Guild Boss ranking, the place where you get relics from that has waves (forgot its name). These are the permanent events but there are even like seasonal events like the Super Mayhem, Error Busters, and more.
In a new server where people dont have all the cookies at lv 75 5A it would be way easier to be top 1%, while in PV server you can dream being at top 1% unless you have all bonds maxed, high level lab and high stars wil near perfect toppings.
It’s pretty good, it’s like Pure Vanilla and Dark Cacao combined, and i think I remember that it has luck, even if you don’t get anything good, you can still get a free ancient or two if you grind for that ancient quest. Oh, and the legendary chest event
for new players, 100% cacao (if they add a golden cheese server, cheese would be better). pv is just full of og players and whales, and holly is sort of a mix between the two
From what i’ve seen PV is entirely p2w players and f2p players that’ve played since launch. Hollyberry has a minority of p2w players, you basically only see them at the tops of master/grandmaster (as an f2p i’ve gotten to master IV with squid ink, SF, frilled, unicorn and hollyberry) so it’s still possible to reach high ranks, but still challenging, and since DC is the newest server, it has the least p2w players and the newest f2p players. Basically, it’s the easiest server as of now.
Honestly, since I joined in PV, the level 75 teams thing everyone keeps saying isn’t completely true. I reach master all the time and I’m about where the average person would’ve been when Raspberry came out 🤷 I only use one newer cookie on my team being Black Pearl and I’m pushing through
Oh, in the arena. It’s the PVP function of the game and Master is one of the higher ranks. It’s difficult to achieve in Pure Vanilla server, but it’s not as terrible as everybody claims. If you are new though, for sure pick the most recent server; Dark Cacao.

Hollyberry: Average ( definitely better than Pure Vanilla, but still not the best for new players)

But if you can to wait for the Golden Cheese server it will be better, since there will be real new players, it'll take some weeks (2 or 3) to get realeased. The server will most likely be realeased since they are based off the ancients, they do that so the game won't crash alot
As new player, if you care about your gems income, go on the latest released server.
PV have a huge population and lot of active guilds, but since lot of players are playing for a long time now and lot of whales, you won’t get that mch rewards from competitive content for a long time (at least 1year). And it’s competitive content that give the most rewards (arena, guild boss, alliance)
i’m on hollyberry because i wanted to join my friends guild! it’s kind of challenging in arena but i have a level 50 team and am on diamond 1 so you just have to get lucky with the refreshes
If you’re new, not PV. It’s not just the experienced players you have to worry about, it’s the mega whales that min-maxed everything.
Seriously, I would recommend going to another server.

i just started yesterday and joined pure vanilla (because i think he looks cool), i got holly berry and the sea fairy and thought i would be doing well in arena but im getting absolutely destroyed by people who are much better than me (silver one has people with 1 million points and its actually so dififcult to advance)

Officially - not yet, but most likely it can happens. Also, some players here don't believe in that.

I mean it would feel good not having half your friends being inactive for a year. And there are occasionally events that require friends.
