They’re all closing. As of March there were only 27 locations open. They’re facing huge financial problems. According to an article dated 03/13/24 they’re weeks away from closing everything. I saw a story about Boston Market. They were at the University Plaza place. They often have to take things off the menu because the company didn’t send the food to prepare. The manager sometimes has to buy raw chickens with her own money because they didn’t get any delivered.
I’ve always called it my all time favorite. Reading this thread, I’ve learned the brand is gonezo so crazy I’ll never have it again
I got it like a year ago at one of the Wilmington ones. It was gross. Not sure why.
Do a search on Google Maps for Boston Market and you will see one active location in University Plaza and a bunch of "temporarily closed" in the list and more 'permanently closed" on the map.
Doesn't look good. Shame, I really liked their soup
If they were smart they'd make it a nice cocktail bar like Copper Dram in Greenville. A lot of people in nearby nice neighborhoods would go there. But, maybe that's better suited for Avenue North?
I've heard it's becoming a bank
Hahaha! But statistically, you're probably right.
Lord knows we need another bank here! Maybe it’ll be another competing pharmacy. We also are lacking in that department as well /s
Or another auto parts store.
You know you're in Delaware when the hot tea is about an empty Boston Market
Hey I could care less about corporate food eateries, I was hoping for a drive thru cannabis store. One can wish haha
Not drive thru but there is one in elkton about 10-15 mins from bear. Called pharmkent it’s recreational and medical lol🤷🏽♀️.
Is PA rec? I just saw one on 202 north of 1, painters crossing in an old bank
No not that i know of
White Castle
lol I wish
Me too, I wish
If it's anything like the one on 896. Nothing, for a LONG TIME
The building has been leased according to the sign outside.
That was quick. Can someone lease the damn building that Friendly's on Kirkwood was in??

Isn't that turning into a drive thru Wawa?

That’s awful. It was such a successful business at one time too.
I certainly didn’t frequent the location, but I hope something good replaces it. I saw workers renovating this morning
We gotta keep the dream alive. Their mac and cheese made my childhood.

I really liked their food. I never had a chance to have their soup, but I really liked their chicken and sides.
I love the creamed spinach I make a pretty good facsimile these days.
Almost all of them are closed nationwide. They stopped paying rent and the landlord(s) nationwide filed evictions.

Exactly what we need more of in that area. Great.
Another Chicken place called Side Chick
Solid name, hope the food can match it
