This is when they’re time-traveling and see [insert the correct Ai, it’s been a while since I read it] get attacked by Curse, right? The past-Curse would probably be able to return to future-Risu’s body after the attack, but if it did it wouldn’t be inside of Kaiman, which would create a huge time paradox since Curse was basically Kaiman’s main clue that drove him to act the way he did and brought the timeline to that point. Long story short: If Risu interferes with past-Curse, it would be bad news.

I think this is probably a mistranslation, since in the fan translation it says that Aikawa wanted Risu's magic, which makes more sense. The official translation is good in some aspects but it tends to mess up details like this for some strange reason.

TheEggEngineer

Yeah me too. Makes more sense that way. Aikawa wanted risus magic. Curse wanted to get out of aikawas body but couldn't. Risu wanted to attack aikawa to fullfill curses profecy. Until we reach this part of the manga the situation is made intentionally confusing by the writter, so I think the person translating might have gotten mixed up. But I can't read japanese so idk lol.

PetrichorProblems

Edit: I typed the wrong name lol I think it's a bad translation and should read more like she could sense that Curse wants to return back to Riku's body in that moment. This would make a paradox and erase things. Or at least that's how I interpret it in this context
