YES that and Three Little Birds. Putting that song on in the car with the bass going is amazing in fact that whole album is MADE to listen to in the car
Yeah, I donāt get why Oscar gets so much hate for ābeing a jerkā even after he made amends and admitted he was wrong, while other characters with similar arks who did even worse things are praised.
I've seen way worse characters in movies. I'd rather take Oscar then Mater in Cars 2 for one example. Yeah Oscar made some questionable decisions he's not perfect but he still had a good heart despite getting blind sighted by fame at times. I'd hang out with him if I could and people just ignore that he literally stood up for Lenny for being Vegetarian (Gay) in front of his Father. That scene earned my respect for Oscar
Mater was a simple comic relief in the first Cars movie but in the second one they made him the main focus and made him act like a complete, obnoxious idiot and constantly embarrassed his friends and got little punishment for it. He was just really annoying
No problem. I'm actually a big Cars fan myself hence why I used Cars 2 as an example. I love that first film but that second one... it leaves a little to be desired let's just say
With the way Lenny talks about it and how everyone treats him being Vegetarian it's very much a metaphor for being gay which I have a lot of respect for especially because movies didn't really handle topics like that in the early 2000's at least not like they do now. Being LGBTQ+ was still a somewhat taboo subject back then
Yeah I was surprised by how funny the movie actually was too. There's some great jokes in that movie. I get why people don't like it but I don't get why so many look at it as objectively one of DreamWorks worst films ever.
No buts
It happend with helluva boss and hazbin hotel like shark tale they have received hatred scorn and shame
I had a plan to save it but some people doubted me
And I don't get why shark tale was even liked
I may have watched it as a child hell I keep trying to get DVDs for it because I really like to film but then I realize it's just not worth your time seeing ugly fish
I think the designs are only uncanny because the animation wasn't ready for characters like that at the time. People forget that Shark Tale was a lot more expressive and exaggerated then DreamWorks previous CG movies like Shrek and Antz and for people who say Finding Nemo looks amazing and it came out the same year remember Pixar had 10 more years of experience with CG than DreamWorks
I loved it as a kid, I should have preserved the good memories. Unfortunately I ended up trying to rewatch it, thinking it would hold up to the quality I remembered. I got to the scene where they introduce the gold digger by playing the āIām a gold diggerā song and couldnāt keep going. It was just painful.
I ironically like MvA, i just watched today on Peacock and i liked it, its better than Spirit, the original one, its pretty good and the animation is pretty good (the character designs are charmingly bad).
I loveee shark tale, if you asked my family whatās my favorite movie itād be shark tale since I watched it so much when it came out that my familyās knows it word for word and itās also my comfort movie lol
Glad so many people seem to agree with me I was expecting a lot more backlash like my unpopular opinion about Tigress in Kung Fu Panda 1. God people do not like that I find her extremely unlikable in that first movie. Shark Tale's a comfort movie of mine too it's just a lot of fun I love it and am glad others do too
I like it too, but for me it's in the so ugly it's cute corner with Gizmo from the Gremlins, the parts of The Phantom Menace where Anikin wasn't a creep and Jar Jar was off screen, and like 5/7ths of The Force Awakens (the sequels could have been good you guys)
I am for the most part... except Lola. That scene where she gets pissed at Oscar and beats the crap out of him terrified me as a kid and to this day she still gives me the creeps. She's a character I love to hate
Wait... Does anybody actually not like the movie? I just think it's a really funny AF movie, not to mention my childhood. Do people really not enjoy it?
I just liked it so much that it just never really occurred to me that there was some who DIDn'T like it, but now I can see some points that would make it less desirable. I really don't care, of course, it's still hilarious af.
Iām with you on that. I still like that movie, 20 years later. In fact, when the movie came out, I built a lot of fan art: I built sculpted versions of the characters.
Yep, this shit slaps and yes it does suck with characters being dipshits all about but it's entertaining and surprisingly has banger character designs with merging humans and fish.
Like the jellyfish and Lola are some top tier designs
I get it. It's one of those weird DreamWorks movies you can't help but love. It's kind of like home or antz. Where they're very weird and obscure films that barely anyone remembers, but you can't help but love. Shark Tale is very much a product of the 2000s, and that's probably why I love it.
r/Schaffrillas is this way š
awful sub with terrible mods who ban people for just breaking 3 rules
Dude I thought this WAS r/schaffrillas
Same lmao

YES that and Three Little Birds. Putting that song on in the car with the bass going is amazing in fact that whole album is MADE to listen to in the car
It DOESS i love annoying my family by playing it over and over again š¤£
Join the small club My gf likes it too
W gf
Yup
Its a good movie in my opinion. Always be stuck in my memory.
Ahhh that's hot that's hot
It would always be one of my favorite movies.
Yeah, I donāt get why Oscar gets so much hate for ābeing a jerkā even after he made amends and admitted he was wrong, while other characters with similar arks who did even worse things are praised.

Question: I havenāt watched cars movie, what did mater do?
Mater was a simple comic relief in the first Cars movie but in the second one they made him the main focus and made him act like a complete, obnoxious idiot and constantly embarrassed his friends and got little punishment for it. He was just really annoying
Thank you for the clarification!
No problem. I'm actually a big Cars fan myself hence why I used Cars 2 as an example. I love that first film but that second one... it leaves a little to be desired let's just say
So it's a metaphor for people standing of for their gay friends (ngl that's nice)
With the way Lenny talks about it and how everyone treats him being Vegetarian it's very much a metaphor for being gay which I have a lot of respect for especially because movies didn't really handle topics like that in the early 2000's at least not like they do now. Being LGBTQ+ was still a somewhat taboo subject back then
Cool!
I don't understand the hate for this film, it's absolutely fucking hilarious and a great watch. Not to mention fantastic for memes.
Yeah I was surprised by how funny the movie actually was too. There's some great jokes in that movie. I get why people don't like it but I don't get why so many look at it as objectively one of DreamWorks worst films ever.
The reason why people think itās a bad movie is because it came out near the same time as finding Nemo
Dumb
Generic plot(the liar revealed), ugly characters.
I think the same
Me too

That's early DreamWorks for you. I'd take Shark Tale designs over Antz any day.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
What does that have to with anything?
Shark tale was a failure with an imdb rating of 6 While how to train your dragon has an imdb rating of 8.1
Yeah but?
No buts It happend with helluva boss and hazbin hotel like shark tale they have received hatred scorn and shame I had a plan to save it but some people doubted me And I don't get why shark tale was even liked I may have watched it as a child hell I keep trying to get DVDs for it because I really like to film but then I realize it's just not worth your time seeing ugly fish
What does Hazbin have to do with Will Smith Fish?
How are you comparing HTTYD to Shark Tale?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
What are you trying to prove tho? That did happen but what's your point?
Seems someone's salty over a simple opinion. I knew I'd get some disagreements but man... you're just immature
Me too.
I too would unironically enjoy this movie. Itās funny and random with their puns
I don't think the fish being uncanny was a thing for me. Don't really have any issues when watching it, and I tend to pick apart stuff quite often.
Yeah I never found it weird when I saw it for the first time since Iād seen worse lol
OMG YES At ThE cAr WaSh
As do I. I feel like it's over-hated
Itās hilarious and pretty bad but thatās what makes it good
I loveddddd this movie growing up! Besides Flushed Away this was one of my fave Dreamworks movies!!
The fuck is wrong with yall
You seem surprised that people could like a movie that you don't
Finally someone with common sense
Homie, if liking Shark Tale is wrong, then I don't wanna be right! Love that movie.
Yeah itās peak
Electric chair.
I too love this movie
Same.
It wasn't a bad movie almost like finding Nemo though
I kinda agree
It was everything!
Likewise
Same
Yeah.
This movie was such a fever dreamā¦
Me too buddy
Same. Great flick
What this movie wasnāt good? I loved this movie.
A lot of people hate it because the fish design, I donāt care about the fish design or the cringe parts.
I think the fish designs are decent people are very crazy.
I do too
So do i
People who hate on Shark Tale, howās your parentsā basement like?
Iām just amazed they got people like Jack Black and Will Smith to star in this
Or convince Martin Scorsese to voice act
I ironically like MvA, i just watched today on Peacock and i liked it, its better than Spirit, the original one, its pretty good and the animation is pretty good (the character designs are charmingly bad).
That's one I got to rewatch soon but I wouldn't be surprised if I end up liking it too
I loveee shark tale, if you asked my family whatās my favorite movie itād be shark tale since I watched it so much when it came out that my familyās knows it word for word and itās also my comfort movie lol
Glad so many people seem to agree with me I was expecting a lot more backlash like my unpopular opinion about Tigress in Kung Fu Panda 1. God people do not like that I find her extremely unlikable in that first movie. Shark Tale's a comfort movie of mine too it's just a lot of fun I love it and am glad others do too
I hated tigress too, she screamed jealousy and genuinely made me turn it off and put on something else for my kids back then.
Same here.
Me tooš
Same. The jokes were funny, and the soundtrack was good.
It is a disastrous masterpiece.
Same, man same āšæ
I like it too, but for me it's in the so ugly it's cute corner with Gizmo from the Gremlins, the parts of The Phantom Menace where Anikin wasn't a creep and Jar Jar was off screen, and like 5/7ths of The Force Awakens (the sequels could have been good you guys)
Jack black was in this movie?
He was Lenny the Shark. Possibly the best character in the movie
Join the club
I love this movie, itās so underrated
Ngl itās an okay movie
If you are immune to the nightmare fuel made by the fish faces, then all the more power to ya.
I am for the most part... except Lola. That scene where she gets pissed at Oscar and beats the crap out of him terrified me as a kid and to this day she still gives me the creeps. She's a character I love to hate
That is totally understandable.
The shrimp scene is probably the best part of the movie.
Wait... Does anybody actually not like the movie? I just think it's a really funny AF movie, not to mention my childhood. Do people really not enjoy it?
I see SO many ranking and tier lists of DreamWorks movies and people almost always have Shark Tale in the bottom 5. I don't fully get it myself
I just liked it so much that it just never really occurred to me that there was some who DIDn'T like it, but now I can see some points that would make it less desirable. I really don't care, of course, it's still hilarious af.
It's not a masterpiece but one of DreamWorks worst? I don't think so
Definitely not. Imo, Madagascar series is so boring. Not tryna be a jerk.
I love the first Madagascar but am meh on the rest
First ones great, I meant the series as a whole
Itās fine I like it too
Yeah I agree
Dude same
Itās a classic in my family. We all love it. I was honestly shocked to hear it was so disliked.
one of my fave movies of all time
I LOVED THIS
Tbh, it's not that bad a movie
This movie gives me so much nostalgia
This movie is a bop
Same
Iām with you on that. I still like that movie, 20 years later. In fact, when the movie came out, I built a lot of fan art: I built sculpted versions of the characters.
Who doesn't?
My Mum loves it as well, and I canāt recall ever hating it in my life.
Shark tale was awesome
Same
Me too š¦
I loved this movie too honestly
i know its u schaffrillas, dont need to hide ur identity
Itās okay that you like it, I watched it once
Good for you
If you can get around Will Smiths terrifying fish face, kudos.
Same
Yep, this shit slaps and yes it does suck with characters being dipshits all about but it's entertaining and surprisingly has banger character designs with merging humans and fish. Like the jellyfish and Lola are some top tier designs
Youāre not alone.
It also has enough emotion to be good definitely a overhated gem of a movie
I get it. It's one of those weird DreamWorks movies you can't help but love. It's kind of like home or antz. Where they're very weird and obscure films that barely anyone remembers, but you can't help but love. Shark Tale is very much a product of the 2000s, and that's probably why I love it.
Itās not a good movie, but damn is it fun as hell
I don't personally agree but as someone with strange opinions, I can relate. Enjoy your movie with pride.
Wait, people don't like Shark Tale?
yea because itās awesome
Iām the same way with the bee movie
Same
Look this filmās got itās faults for sure but you canāt deny that itās just oozing personality and charm.
I'm the #1 bee movie supporter. Go off I guess
And I have a confession to makeā¦ I donāt like the Penguins of Madagascar movie.
I'm going to murder your entire family /s
I donāt have a family.
You're welcome
Seriously, Im not married.
