Seems like you’re a little far away at address and you look like you’re trying to pick the ball up instead of trusting that hitting down and compressing it will get it airborne

Gregpahl97

Thanks for the feedback. I agree. I don’t have a specific Mishit but one of the worse mishits I get is a big chunk where the ball dribbled up a few yards so I think subconsciously the act of really coming down on the ball is hard . Def will continue to work on it

KTFlaSh96

Swing looks good until a few frames before impact, where you look like you're afraid of hitting down and taking a divot. Just commit to the shot and hitting into the ball, rather than trying to pick it off the turf. Face is also open as you roll your forearms on takeaway, so at P6 (club parallel on downswing), your face is quite open. Try to keep those forearms more passive on the takeaway and that'll help keep it more on plane rather than rolling and getting too laid off and inside.

Gregpahl97

Thanks for the feedback!

Clay_Dawg99

Finish your shoulder turn! You have a ‘fake’ shoulder turn. Get your left shoulder over your right knee. Bow your left wrist at transition or in the downswing and you’re golden.

Amo-24

Stand up a little straighter. Look at any pros swings, none of them are that bent at the knees. Engage your hamstrings and your glutes, bend from your hips.

LeMoosie

Less bent knees at address, feel like you stand taller. Have your hands below your chin at address too - they are too stretched out in front of you at the moment. You could have more wrist hinge at the top of the backswing. Swing plane is looking nice. You also suffer from some early extension - you can see your upper body and even lower body moving towards the ball during your downswing. Once you’ve fixed the above points at setup - this should be your main focus I’d say. Feeling like you rotate your lower body and upper body before impact should help. A feeling would be to push the lead hip back during your downswing. You aren’t far off! Keep going !

MetalAsFork

Should be a rule against sending in slow-mo only clips. It looks like you're just really not using any of your body or trying to put much speed in, but that could be an illusion. Go for lessons, get your clubs gapped and see where you can make gains. For being new, you are doing a lot of good things. Part of being new is that you don't make great contact 100% of the time, or even 80% of the time. As far as counting handicap at that stage, I don't see the point unless it's for a club league or something.

downwithOTT_

According to the AMG YouTube guys hip flexion should increase while your legs straighten during the downswing. You are doing the opposite with your hips.

big4huh

Looks like you cut your back swing short and follow through seemed off but was probably do to the shortened back swing.

ohdaman

Hey, you hit the ball straight. You're almost there!

Back_Equivalent

Backswing looks good. You stand up during your downswing instead of rotate. I would focus on keeping your head as still as possible throughout the swing to eliminate all the early extension.

Decent_Ad548

Too far away and left shoulder flys open on downswing

body_by_tacobell

Skim the stone, Marooch!

Otherwise-Mortgage58

Club is too flat in takeaway and backswing which is the cause for the early extension and the lack of compression

Gek888

Pretty laid off at the top as well, proper wrist hinge should help

Gregpahl97

Wym by laid off at the top? Thanks for the tip

Gek888

Typically they say, the shaft of the club should be pointing down the line at the target at the top of the swing. [https://imgur.com/a/yPJPf9G](https://imgur.com/a/yPJPf9G) I think some videos on wrist setting and etc would help get you to the desired position. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mg-nKqYQpho](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mg-nKqYQpho) \^ this is the video that helped me with it. Found it simplified my swing and I was able to just turn my body and rotate through the downswing

Which_Raccoon4680

Definitely handicap

TheeDragon

You don't compress the ball at all tbh. You'll figure it out I'm sure.
