I can confirm the instructions by Jack000999 work fine for the FLT release of Boltgun. I couldn't get it working but now have both the movies and the save working.
So I have finally figured out the above and got the game installed to c/ like it said I have looked everywhere and cannot find the Warhammer folder anywhere. I have checked every numbered folder in the directory and it not there.
Any help?
To get Boltgun to work, you just have to run it with the Lutris Proton GE. This will allow you to save. Even if you follow all the steps and run it with the Steam Proton or the Proton GE for Steam, it won't save.
You don't run it from desktop
After you config the game and make sure its works you press right click on shortcut in lutris and then add to steam afterwards you can play it on gaming mode
Enjoy
Hey sorry, the solution above look like it was deleted and even the internet archive couldn’t save me. Could you please tell me how you managed to fix it?
Okay so I just tried running the game by transferring the game files from my PC which is usually how I ran my non steam games. Ill try running the whole installation on lutris instead
Just so you know, I do the same thing installing on windows first. you can still just copy the folder over, then add the game by adding the exe directly to lutris instead of having to install it on you steam deck.

I'll try and then update if it worked
Updating It's fixed the game and now saves works like it should Thank you ❤️
comment was deleted, what was the solution?
Install the game via lutris
I used wine lutris-ge-proton instead of proton (GE) and it worked this way.

Is there no easier way to get videos and saves working than that guide above, I'm not very tech savvy and that just blows my mind
Its pretty easy actually these steps and you able to play the game 15min after you starts the guide
I have read it about 10 times and it might as well be in a different language 🤣 suppose I will have to give this game a miss.

Yes I understand that but in Lutris I have to find the .exe file so it can run but I can't find the install folder anywhere
Managed to get it working with videos and saves, is there a way to add it to steam or do I have to play it through Lutris?
Is it really impossible to make saves work in steam game mode without litrys?
Without lutris its impossible i think But its very easy to install it via lutris
It's sad, it's not convenient to run the game from the desktop

Install and launch the game via lutirs and everything should work

Exactly and then run the game with lutris
Got it to work a bit ago, thank you kind sir
Welcome friend 😉
