In case it needs to be said outloud- I am happy to celebrate Jackie Robinson I am just confused as to why *only our match* ends in a 42 minute start.
My only true offensive concern is Mitch Garver. Of all the guys in this lineup, he is the only one (other than Zavala I guess) that has shown zero upside, signs of improvement, or really anything to right home about. When he has gotten on base it has been weak contact singles even though he is a power hitter. His at bats have been ugly to watch. Guys like JP and Julio are struggling but have gotten the barrel to the ball and are just driving it to where people are. Polanco's numbers are bad but lately has been getting on base a decent amount, his swings are better. Cal has been dumping, Ty has been drivelining (enough with the double plays brother) 3rd base platoon has actually been producing as well. RIP Canzones shoulder because he has been muscling some hits as of late which is why Raley hasn't been playing. Meetch has been his normal productive self. Zavala has been bad but I wouldn't be shocked if at some point this year we see Blake Hunt behind the dish while Zavala is "injured" to test the waters for someone else.
Really Garver is the only, so far, zero upside guy. Hope he can start spotting the ball better.
I didn’t see that post and hadn’t thought about it. I should hope that’s not the case since that would mean he’s either the team decided to play him anyway or he’s not telling the team. Either way it’s helping nobody and would make him worse off health-wise.

He played game 1 but got benched I think 3 or 4 games in a row due to back spasms. Fingers crossed its just a slump because not much to do for back issues.
His xBA is sitting at .251 so there is some bad luck. Want me to say he’s shit? Fine Julio is trash garbage washed. Happy?
You can be mad at a guy who constantly starts slow. Fine, but he has shown more positive signs than Garver, that’s my point.
Just looked it up and yes, he is ranked 129 out of 280 qualified hitters in barrel percentage with is about 46.5%. Feels like he’s been hitting more line drives to defenders than the number say. To be fair though, he’s getting the bat to the ball more than Garver and again, that was my point. I don’t think Julio’s struggles will sustain. He’s too good for that.
Have folks tried the new stadium menu items? How do they compare with the favorites? I'm going to my first game next month and wanna make sure I get the full experience!
Yeah, it is kind of shitty to blame him for the loss last night. Sure, it was a bonehead play, but it was unlikely they were gonna drive him in with two outs anyway. I was much more disappointed by Raley and France grounding into double plays with RISP in the 7th and 8th innings.
You have to capitalize on those sorts of opportunities.
Someone in here mentioned that Julio Rodriguez was playing a video game “Call of Duty” during the off-season which could be contributing to his struggles. I think that’s one of the games I don’t allow my nephew’s son to play because of the graphic content.
