Total agreement about the pacing. At the rate they were going last year I gave up getting everything I wanted, which wasn't even everything released. They could have burned through every X character this year at that pace.
Surprised that Sunsport/Warlock are our first new mutants pack, would've thought it'd be Mirage/Karma. I was hoping that Elsa would be with Nico, but I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth when she's with another character I like though, I just assumed Man-thing would be a big solo box
honestly I'm more shocked that Warlock/Sunspot got into the game before Jubilee or Banshee; those two along with Angel were really the only remaining "classic" team members left to round out the OG/Second Team/Claremont Era teams.
I was also hoping Apocalypse would maybe launch with a whole party of weirdos like Stryfe, Abyss, Sugar Man, and Nemesis---but I suppose his ruleset to "make your own Horsemen" was chosen instead. Still a LOT of X-Men they can dig up.
That Yondu is perfect if the model follows that art. A really nice balance between classic comic look and a more realistic film take.
Thats how all characters should be done in my opinion because it allows people to paint them up in whichever version they want
Is she known for a hat? Logan often shows up wearing a wife beater, a bomber jacket or a cowboy hat, but Elsa mostly uses her orange bodysuit and trenchcoat.
I mean for a woman who's main visual thing is going akimbo with two longarms, she only has a single gun on her, meanwhile she's just kinda standing there rather than an interesting dynamic pose.
Nice to see the Founding X-Men team completed I would've expected him to be included with Apocalypse. Nova and Yondu are cool would like see Adam Warlock and either Quasar or Mar-Vell.
I also can't wait to tell my dad about Man-Thing he is a huge fan of him and Swamp Thing
That or they are waiting for sales to slump. The FF are a card in their back pocket they can play when people start to drift away from the game, to reignite everyone’s interest
Yeah that's kind of what I mean. Once they announce FF (both the heroes and villains) there's nothing left that will illicit the same reaction. I wouldn't be surprised if they were making a business decision to hold on to that
I could believe that they were waiting for the movie but up until now their release schedule has seemed entirely agnostic of any cross-promotional opportunities (releasing MODOK, but not while Quantumania was in theaters, for example).
Well, the X-Men were added very early in the game's life and not at a time when they were falling off. X-Men would've opened way more doors than the FF. X-Men alone occupies like half of the Marvel universe probably the most expansive franchise of their's.
Already have C27 Angel and Archangel (but might prefer the official ones having seen them) and the New Mutants, but Apocalypse looks brilliant, and Maverick is pretty left-field but a cool release.

Hardly a weak year by any measure. 34 new characters (9 more than last year) and some of them (Professor X, Nightcrawler, Shadowcat, Sandman, 6 threat Thor, Apocalypse) have been characters people have been begging to have for years.

Thunderbird is another Havok and Polaris, kinda since they show up in that comic.
I'm guessing they'd put out Warpath instead since Thunderbird died quite early in his career

The "modern" comics Yondu is basically the MCU version, who's been retconned into being the ancestor of the 31st century original.

I had no idea this stream was happening today so everything we saw really shocked me.
I've been waiting for Namor and Apocalypse for so long. This will hold me over until the Fantastic Four.

Anyone saying they aren’t disappointed knowing that FF4 and Dr Doom aren’t coming for at least *another* year is lying.
Never been a fan so really couldn't care less personally. I'll pick them up same as any other model, but not exactly disappointed.
