Or he could just pull a transition like a PowerPoint from one scene to another could also have his voiceover in the next scene and all of a sudden a hand reaches down and pulls a character into the last scene he was in.

Yeah for me G4 introduction was brilliant and is my favourite gear, I must have watched that kong gun hit Doffy about 50 times! I really like how clever G4 is combining the rubber and haki properties. In reality I'm still not quite on board with G5 because I enjoyed the fact he used to keep within the limits of his rubber power (I know I'm in the minority here)
G4: Snake Man is one of the most hype transformations in the whole show imo, but it’s also really hard to beat the animation quality and build up on G5, and G2 is one of the most iconic transformations in anime history

Gear second is always goated. It was the only gear that ended the fight the second it was introduced. All the other gears luffy did some cool stuff but still struggled to win the fight.
Think gear 2 and 3 are the best because luffy uses creative ways to pack bigger punches. 4 and 5 just kind of happen.
Also no, don't want a gear 6th. 5 is a perfect number to end the gears
4 and 5 don't just "kind of happen". 4 is literally the same as 2 and 3, just a creative way to combine his powers to become stronger. 5, meanwhile, is literally the absolute freedom of being able to do whatever he wants with the creativity that led him to develop the other 4.
Gear 5 did indeed just “kind of happen.” He didn’t come up with it or train it like the other gears. He gets knocked out and wakes up with it, not even knowing what is happening either.

Also you can’t really get a more unique power after ALTERING the world so maybe just keep it at 5

Tje standard for cats is 5 gears and gear 5 is tje awakening so I don't think we will get more, however newer cars often have 6 gears so it's possible.
I like 2nd because it goes against what you’d expect. 3rd, 4th and 5th are more stretching, expanding and other things you’d expect a Rubber Man to do.
2nd is a clever trick that goes against the grain, and being a big brain move from little brain Luffy makes it all the better.

Let Luffy get creative and experiment with Gear 5 like he did with 4 and leave it at that. We don't want this to turn into Dragon Ball where Luffy gets a new form each time.
Gear 6. Luffy stretches his body into a gear, a gear that controles all time and space. He then instantly summons the one piece to him, only to realise... Roggers greatest treasure was his son, and so luffy is now just stuck with Aces corpse. This leads straight into the sequel of One Peice called "Two Peice," where Zoro, trying to chear up the now depressed luffy, takes luffy to McDonald's to get a 2 peice McNugget, they end up getting lost and have to go on an even greater and wackyer adventure.

6th would be unnecessary. 5th is peak. He can improve some things about gear 5 like how long he can stay in that form but it would still be gear 5. His imagination is the limit so can't get a better gear than that
I could imagine Gear 6 being a mix between 4 and 5 almost... imbuing more Haki, namely armament, into his body and contorting it erratically due to his wackiness in 5th.
Gear 2 lore is great, Luffy pumping his bloodstream with his rubber Devil Fruit to speed up his body/reactions is really cool, and steaming as he moves to show the increased heat from that pumped blood works great.
Gear 3 shouldn’t be a separate gear on its own. His Gear 3 moves like Elephant Gun and Gigant Pistol are sick though and led to one of the best panels in One Piece when he punched Lucci in Enies Lobby. Lore wise those moves fit with his rubber abilities. In the story it feels like Luffy used his Gear 3 too quickly too. Introduction to Gear 2 just happened and already he’s using the next “transformation”.
Gear 4 visually is awesome and a great blend of Haki and Devil Fruit. Bounce Man is perfect.
Gear 5 is visually really cool too, but story wise I don’t like Luffy all of a sudden becoming a god Devil fruit instead of the original rubber one. It feels like a narrative cop out.
While gear 4 and gear 5 are awesome, Gear 2 is always my favorite.
Because that is the first time where we see Luffy can power up beyond normal means.
I guess, the same thing with Super Saiyan.
Dragon Ball can have Super Saiyan 2, 3, Red, Blue, Black, Yellow, Pink, Crimson, Brown, White, or whatever color fancy you.
The first Super Saiyan form is the most memorable for me.
I think we will see a gear 6 or a more advanced gear 5, because his fruit gives him the power of sun god nika, so I feel like the color palette for a sun god form should have warmer colors like red or orange and not white.
I don't think we will ever get any new gear as luffy said it is his peak. Also I don't really see what would be above turning into a fucking god.
However, I wouldn't mind a new Gear 5 form, a "Gear 5.5" or "Gear 5 bis" of some sort. Just like how Snakeman was still Gear 4, but was a different form from the one we saw before.

I'm gonna keep my theory brief but given what we know as far as zoans go, I think gear 5 isn't an awakening but rather luffy's "full animal form" so to speak. What if Gears 2 and 3 are him using the aspects of his fruit, Gear 4 is the hybrid form, and gear 5 is the full transformation. The changing of the terrain (like an awakened paramecia would) is just part of the fruit being mythical. What if, given the toon nature of his fruit, his real awakening is going something like "gomu-gomu-no domain expansion: steamboat willy"
I've always much preferred 2 to 3, 4 is cool and probably my favourite in terms of mechanics (the idea of using haki to harden only certain parts thus creating a bend) but I dislike how it looks and it's hard to say any of them come close to gear 5 which is incredible to watch, and equally incredibly powerful.
I wouldn't want a gear 6, but I do wish Luffy had more versions of gear 4 which had bound man and snake man but could easily have had one more, or even just used snake man more since it was only really used against katakuri and I think a short bit against doffy. It's probably too late to add another since there's no reason for Luffy to power up to a level below gear 5 anymore (if they're a strong opponent, gear 5 is necessary to win, if they're a weak opponent, he doesn't need anything, if they're somewhere in between he could just go gear 5 for an instant win and because it was so fast he doesn't have repercussions)
G4 for me, bc he look \*really\* intimidating also, the multiples forms topped with snakeman.
G2 was top too, and a top escene, but now it feels so basic.
G5 is great but Oda make the last stage more simple wich its common in mangas (Madara, freezer, Buu, fairy tail...), so for me, even if it looks great, i feel it lost 'something', and its even more noticeable now we reach the final arcs and we can see some really dope powerhouses.
About G6, the moment luffy said he feels at his peak, i discarded it. Maybe G5 forms, like he did in G4

Seeing Oda use more and more of his imagination for luffy makes one piece fun in my opinion
The surprise of seeing each chapter be completely different from what I was expecting is what makes reading it fun
Aswell as watching the anime and seeing what way they adapt the manga
g5 already makes you root for the bad guy because how overpowered that shit is, even Oda gave that thing the "stamina handicap" so *the bad guy* has a change against Luffy.... so no idea why there will be any need to even think about g6...

I feel like gear 5 is so broad and kinda messes up with any sense of scaling, so gear 6 should be like where he uses haki and all his previous abilities to ground hemself with actual calculatble strentgh. Stronger then gear 5 but still just more grounded

I know it's not 3, while it's cool it didn't have the same impact as the others.
2 has probably my favourite introduction of the bunch in the Bruno fight.
4 is coo mechanicallyl n all but it doesn't look visually appealing to me.
I really didn't like 5 but it's grown on me quite a bit.
I'd say 5 for the way it integrates into the story probably but 2 is not far behind

I personally have gear 5 as my favorite for a number of reasons, the crazy and entertaining fights, the lore importance, the fact that Luffy now embodies two things he's known for since the beginning, silliness and freedom, all those reasons have me select gear 5 as not only my favorite gear, but probably my favorite transformation, at least in recent memory. I kinda hope there isn't a gear 6 simply because 5 is a better number to end on than 6, especially with G-E-A-R-5 having 5 letters / numbers.
I like gear 2 and 5 the most so far with Snakeman as solid 3rd place.
I think there is still a possibility for a gear 6, since his powers are only limited by his imagination. That sounds for me like he could basicly do anything, even using other elements etc (i.e Red hawk)

Gear 6 would be stupid
I've always much preferred 2 to 3, 4 is cool and probably my favourite in terms of mechanics (the idea of using haki to harden only certain parts thus creating a bend) but I dislike how it looks and it's hard to say any of them come close to gear 5 which is incredible to watch, and equally incredibly powerful. I wouldn't want a gear 6, but I do wish Luffy had more versions of gear 4 which had bound man and snake man but could easily have had one more, or even just used snake man more since it was only really used against katakuri and I think a short bit against doffy. It's probably too late to add another since there's no reason for Luffy to power up to a level below gear 5 anymore (if they're a strong opponent, gear 5 is necessary to win, if they're a weak opponent, he doesn't need anything, if they're somewhere in between he could just go gear 5 for an instant win and because it was so fast he doesn't have repercussions)
gear 6 would be a comfortable or full version of sun god nika like how when goku first unlocked his ui it was nit complete
G4 for me, bc he look \*really\* intimidating also, the multiples forms topped with snakeman. G2 was top too, and a top escene, but now it feels so basic. G5 is great but Oda make the last stage more simple wich its common in mangas (Madara, freezer, Buu, fairy tail...), so for me, even if it looks great, i feel it lost 'something', and its even more noticeable now we reach the final arcs and we can see some really dope powerhouses. About G6, the moment luffy said he feels at his peak, i discarded it. Maybe G5 forms, like he did in G4

Gear 5 having various forms like gear 4 would be great to see Seeing Oda use more and more of his imagination for luffy makes one piece fun in my opinion The surprise of seeing each chapter be completely different from what I was expecting is what makes reading it fun Aswell as watching the anime and seeing what way they adapt the manga
Gear 6 = He becomes Gumgumpool and he can break the forth wall
We have all the gears. Now we need the rear
g5 already makes you root for the bad guy because how overpowered that shit is, even Oda gave that thing the "stamina handicap" so *the bad guy* has a change against Luffy.... so no idea why there will be any need to even think about g6...
There is beauty in simplicity and Gear 2 wins for me.

The gears are far more then just blatant powerboosts, luffy actually changes his style. Its not ssj where the number is just more raw stats.

Five is enough - it’s a mixture of the previous three types and seems to be their culmination.
Gear R, for when luffy takes a rumble ball
Genuinely jaw dropping was gear two vs Bruno and, well, gear five.
I feel like gear 5 is so broad and kinda messes up with any sense of scaling, so gear 6 should be like where he uses haki and all his previous abilities to ground hemself with actual calculatble strentgh. Stronger then gear 5 but still just more grounded

I haven't seen anyone talk about this but what about a reverse (R) gear ? Most cars have 5 forward gears and a reverse gear
I would like gear 6 to be an attack like gear 3. Like flex that sun god title, give him a sun punch or something
Gear 6: intelligence
This is actually kinda rough. I know it's not 3, while it's cool it didn't have the same impact as the others. 2 has probably my favourite introduction of the bunch in the Bruno fight. 4 is coo mechanicallyl n all but it doesn't look visually appealing to me. I really didn't like 5 but it's grown on me quite a bit. I'd say 5 for the way it integrates into the story probably but 2 is not far behind
If Luffy got Gear 6th he'd be breaking the 4th wall and literally erasing Imu with an big pencil. Imagine if this is how Imu is defeated:

something about the pose and the straightforward simplicity of gear 2 always felt cool to me
I personally have gear 5 as my favorite for a number of reasons, the crazy and entertaining fights, the lore importance, the fact that Luffy now embodies two things he's known for since the beginning, silliness and freedom, all those reasons have me select gear 5 as not only my favorite gear, but probably my favorite transformation, at least in recent memory. I kinda hope there isn't a gear 6 simply because 5 is a better number to end on than 6, especially with G-E-A-R-5 having 5 letters / numbers.
I like gear 2 and 5 the most so far with Snakeman as solid 3rd place. I think there is still a possibility for a gear 6, since his powers are only limited by his imagination. That sounds for me like he could basicly do anything, even using other elements etc (i.e Red hawk)
