She could have been homeless. California has a huge homeless population and they are easy targets for someone who doesn't want to get caught/linked to a victim.

True. But one of the links said she was already in her 60s which is and wasn't common for a woman in Northern California. And the homeless issue wasn't anywhere near as bad in 2011 as it is now. Not saying it couldn't be plausible, but idk... I feel like something else happened. Maybe she was mentally ill and was loving in a home when she disappeared?

Some people cut ties with family. At her age, if she had kids, they'd be grown. If she didn't have kids and had only siblings who lived further away or weren't emotionally connected, she wouldn't necessarily be reported missing. I have many family members I haven't seen or heard about in years.
