It's been like that every monster hunter game since tri.
They leave it to the Hunters to exploit all the skills and leaves them with brief description of main abilities.
It just increases your attack stat by 2, just a little bonus.
So, its not like it gives two bars of attack to items, like rathalos helm for example?
Nah, the bars give you +20, this is just a lil cherry on top of the smelt ability

Those 2 'bars' are a skill called attack boost, jfc rathalos helm doesn't even say attack+2, how did you equate attack+2 = 2 bars of attack
Because I haven't seen atk +2 before and I was asking. I'm relatively new to the game
