There was an attempt with Deadly Alliance, where Cyrax was on the roster with no Sektor, but they immediately went back on that following Armagedon (they were both in 2011, Triborg in X, and they were both nonplayable story fights in 11)
Well, I'd say they've always been different enough. Sektor is red, and it uses missiles and flamethrowers. Cyrax is yellow, and it uses bombs nets and a dope ass antiair throw. That's separate enough for me.

Kameos are a cool idea, just wished that in the Kameo system all characters are playable and the one you select as the character you are playing, all the other characters then become Kameos for you to choose from. With the kameo system right now, we basically get like half of a character.

Naruto Storm games pulled this off perfectly with an amazing outstanding roster.

For Darrius: NRS should give the guy another chance just how they gave others like Nitara, Ashrah, Havik, etc. And I'll love to see his dialogues with Havik since they come from the same realm.
For Stryker: NRS Would've put Stryker as dlc in mk11 if Robocop wasn't added as dlc since they are both cops and if NRS couldn't find in contact of the License for him they could've replaced him with Stryker, abd personally his moveset in mk1 cpuld be potential.
I think the cameo concept is stupid as fuck. Like there’s characters that are fully animated and rendered but you can’t play as them its just doesn’t make much sense to me, and the licensed characters have no cameo characters hang with so its just omni man weirdly standing next to a mk ninja

I know he and Cyrax are kinda like a package deal, but it would be sooooo good to have some actual development and explorarion of his character, especially in the new timeline where he seems to be younger, and his dad isn’t the Lin Kuei’s grandmaster... though judging by Sub’s ending, he most probably still is a Lin Kuei loyalist.
Also, Sareena would be a good addition. I like her character and her redemption arc in Mythologies, but she’s just playable in ports and Armageddon :(

Stryker or Frost. Stryker is arguably the most normal fighter compared to other fighters. Johnny Cage has powers from his mediterranean heritage, so he is a powered being. Stryker, to me, represents the everyday man taking on something far greater than he expected (Sort of like John McClane in Die Hard, just a below average cop foiling a terrorist plot).
Frost because I think she is just a cool fighter (no pun intended) and I love the master and apprentice dynamic with her and Kuai Liang.
