It just doesn't look right without a Ford emblem. :(

I thought this. I think it would look better if the mustang badge was chrome/silver instead of black at least. I wonder if we’ll see any changes later in the year.
Even on TV they looked great!
I think the Toyota looks better than the Ford, mainly because that Grey headlight bar on the front of the Ford, looks real goofy on brightly colored paint schemes, like Logano. Looks good on dark cars, though.
Funny how people are different.
For me it was exactly the opposite, I think especially on loganos yellow the grey front bar really worked well, but I didn't like it on darker cars at all.
You can hardly make out the horse on the front of the fords, i know its supposed to be "dark horse" but they need to put the blue oval on the hood or something. Also the gray under the headlights looks odd.
I agree!
A buddy of mine was looking at the 9 car and thought the Chevrolet nose was slanted down more or changed a bit compared to last year. Curious if anyone else noticed that. I couldn’t tell.
The ford needs to make the mustang logo on the front chrome. They just look so generic and black you can’t even tell what car it is if you didn’t already know
Strong disagree. What was Ford thinking by getting rid of the blue oval? You can't even see the Mustang logo either. Why spend tens of millions (maybe hundreds of millions) of dollars in racing development when you don't even put your company logo in sight?
I completely agree! As a Ford fan, I thought it looked so weird that they were essentially racing debadged Mustangs. I understand why they want to promote the Darkhorse. Still I think a Ford logo in front of the hood like they used to run would help.
Thought the Ford looked like ass because of the gray around the lights as well as the blacked-out grille.
Camry is the best looking car in the field somehow.
The Ford looks really good, it actually looks like a kind of retro-style stock car, but I do think they should have the Mustang logo be silver or blue instead of black. The Toyota is pretty cool also- I still prefer the old design, but it's not as bad as I thought it would be.
I guess I'm in the minority. I thought the Ford looked like absolute ass. Both the front and rear are major downgrades imo.
The Toyota was ok, but still a downgrade from the last car.
The Camaro is still my favorite, but it looks outdated now.
The Camry is hot. The Mustang looks good too, but my one pet peeve is I wish they had the Mustang logo in chrome on the grille. Right now it looks like a big blank hole. Like a discount Mustang where they weren’t allowed to use the logo. Otherwise it looks good.
The Mustang looks like a generic car from the old racing video games.

I couldn't figure out what was missing with the new style. Them it hit me... the sticker headlights. I'm so used to seeing larger ones the front end threw me off. I'll get used to it. We are starting to look like cars 3
Not a fan of plastering sponsorship all over the nose like this. NASCAR always seemed to have higher standards? This looks like something you'd see in ARCA.

Not a fan of plastering sponsorship all over the fenders like this. NASCAR always seemed to have higher standards? This looks like something you’d see in ARCA.

Gotta do something for the fact the noses aren’t sloped anymore so the hood sponsor can’t be read from a certain angle.
I was at the race and noticed how hard it was to see “Walmart” on Haley’s hood compared to the Fords that placed it lower and on the nose.
I personally think the mustang is the best looking of the 3 right now. The Camry looks terrible now IMO. The Camaro lost it’s edge when they rounded the point on the nose
Agreed about the Toyotas, the new Camry looks sick as a stock car and kind of more closely resembles the Supra, hell even Ty Gibbs’s car I thought looked awesome leading the race, and I hate that little fucker lol.
I disagree completely about the Fords, think they look like ass. An aggressive attempt at looking ultra-modern gone wrong.
Others ITT are saying the Chevy now looks dated, I disagree about that as well. Chevy is the only one still “Chevy” looking lol.
You see, in my mind NASCAR’s manufacturers have always held a strong, identifiable pattern. There was a “boxy”, a “round”, and an “angular” car.
Boxy - almost always Chevy
Round - almost always Ford
Angular - Pontiac, then Dodge, then Toyota
Now, it feels like Chevy is the only one maintaining this integrity, ford is becoming more angular and less round, and Toyota is becoming less angular and more round.
They both had a noticeable new look, the Ford looked like it might have figured out an aero advantage with those humps above the front fenders. The Camry grill looks pretty slick but didn't notice any real changes to the body.... but they were fast.
Seems like teams are getting more adventurous with paint schemes, they look a lot more stylized and less generic. I hope the 51 and 15 keeps the gold wheels all season but could have just been a clash thing since they didn’t have to change tires much.
I just want to see something on the Fords in the way of branding on the front. Maybe outline the mustang logo in white or something. The black horse on the black "grill" just doesn't show up because they're 2D decals on tv. It's just a black void.
It's a design decision on the production Mustang Dark Horse.

What I think is so cool is right now all 3 manufacturers look radically different
Also thought the cars looks amazing tonight
A lot of people were freaking out about the designs, especially the new Toyota. Glad things turned out good.
that preseason paint scheme did not help, i think all the toyota schemes looked good last night, Dennys was a little lacking
long live the hammerhead

It reminds me of the new Accord https://preview.redd.it/3ny6qzu8ckgc1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ed914cbe561c4a7229959f98d012c8259bcdba4c
That's literally the same thing lol
I can’t unsee that now. Damnit. Mustang fans not gonna be happy.
I thought this. I think it would look better if the mustang badge was chrome/silver instead of black at least. I wonder if we’ll see any changes later in the year.
If you look reeeal closely, horse is actually still on the grille. I think that’s where the “dark horse” nickname is coming from.
99% chance they add a chrome outline around the horse. Ford is gonna realize how invisible it was on TV.
I get that it’s supposed to be the Dark Horse, but you can’t even see the pony on the grille
Even on TV they looked great! I think the Toyota looks better than the Ford, mainly because that Grey headlight bar on the front of the Ford, looks real goofy on brightly colored paint schemes, like Logano. Looks good on dark cars, though.

Same here. I thought it added a new element to the paint scheme.
That is funny. Taste is subjective, though. I really wanted to like it, but every time I see Joey's car, I just can't lol
If they added some yellow trim on the grille or something it’d look a lot better
You can hardly make out the horse on the front of the fords, i know its supposed to be "dark horse" but they need to put the blue oval on the hood or something. Also the gray under the headlights looks odd.
Meanwhile, Chevy is running a model that’s sadly discontinued.
This may be an unpopular take but Toyota and Ford has made the Camaro look dated in my eyes.
I agree! A buddy of mine was looking at the 9 car and thought the Chevrolet nose was slanted down more or changed a bit compared to last year. Curious if anyone else noticed that. I couldn’t tell.

Had this same thought as soon as I saw a car on track yesterday. The Fords looked like they purposefully didn’t have branding.
Came here to write the same thing! I get the Dark Horse idea, but they should display the pony in the center.
Literally, from far away it looks kinda like a dodge, and this is coming from a ford guy
Strong disagree. What was Ford thinking by getting rid of the blue oval? You can't even see the Mustang logo either. Why spend tens of millions (maybe hundreds of millions) of dollars in racing development when you don't even put your company logo in sight?
I kept calling Loganos car a dodge. Front looks like a dodge charger not a mustang.
[It looks like an Accord.](https://cars.usnews.com/static/images/Auto/izmo/i159615571/2023_honda_accord_frontview.jpg)

I'll get used to the Mustang grille.
Yup, both looked great, IMO. Cant wait to see them pack racing and intermediates.
Thought the Ford looked like ass because of the gray around the lights as well as the blacked-out grille. Camry is the best looking car in the field somehow.
The mustang looks like it has eyes with bags under them to me
The Ford looks really good, it actually looks like a kind of retro-style stock car, but I do think they should have the Mustang logo be silver or blue instead of black. The Toyota is pretty cool also- I still prefer the old design, but it's not as bad as I thought it would be.
I think the mustangs look pretty good, especially the rear. The Toyotas look wierd with that upper grille/headlight strip imo.
The fords look awful imo. The Camry is alright, the Camaro is the best by far
I guess I'm in the minority. I thought the Ford looked like absolute ass. Both the front and rear are major downgrades imo. The Toyota was ok, but still a downgrade from the last car. The Camaro is still my favorite, but it looks outdated now.

I do like that Ford is using the Kia K5 decal package for 2024!

Really hate the Toyota headlights... other than that, all good
New Toyota NASCAR design is awesome, new Camry TRD design….😬
I disagree, the toyota is okay, and the mustang just looks weird, like some odd combo of a charger and a new accord
I just want to see something on the Fords in the way of branding on the front. Maybe outline the mustang logo in white or something. The black horse on the black "grill" just doesn't show up because they're 2D decals on tv. It's just a black void.
Can't even tell if some of the Toyotas have headlights and the Mustang needs to get rid of that gray underneath the headlights.
The mustang needs either a more prominent mustang badge on the front or the blue oval, just like fairly generic and hard to tell
Could someone post a picture of them? I haven’t seen them yet.
Maybe I've missed it elsewhere, but why does the mustang have silver below each headlight? Is it something to do with the laser scanner?

Hell....not sure how I missed that...thanks
Gotchu!
