Is this year the lowest total car participation we’ve seen before?

No we saw 36 pretty much the entire year last year. Not necessarily a bad thing in my opinion. I would rather have 36 full time competitive and committed teams for the full year than see 4 or 5 more uncompetitive backmarkers fill it out.

36 teams committed to getting better is better than 30 with 15 just struggling to qualify (like we used to have in the top 35 era)

I understand why it happens, but it's always hilarious to me when a team like RWR just dunks on everybody else with the beautiful 15 Car. Mo money, mo design problems. But still...great design again. The 51 + Grady car, is actually a rare miss from them. Also slightly confusing. They also done Blaney's car dirty showing it from this side-on angle. Misses the best part of the whole design. And i like that Ricky has a cute lil Buffalo on the side of his car. That's fun.
