Met Kurt at Martinsville in the garage before the fall 2016 race. Was wearing a brand new Cubs World Series Champs hat. Went up to get a picture and ended up having a 10-minute breakdown of the World Series. Say what you want, Kurt is great in my book.

There was a short period where I wasn't following a while back though so it easily could have been during that time as it was when Clint was still racing . Details though please !
Back during the darkest years of the Charlotte Bobcats in the NBA (God, I hated that name)...they would have an annual NASCAR night promotion. Special checkered flag theme uniforms and all.

I actually took my family to one of them, since it certainly wasn't hard to get good cheap Bobcats tickets. It was all rather cheesy, but interesting at the same time as a NASCAR nut.
