To make a long story short, I was in a series of unfortunate events in my life when i had her about 12 years ago, and we wound up having to move. There was no way i could take her so a dear friend wanted her and at first, took immediate initiative so i was all for it, but after i had left, i was told that she had to be brought to a non-kill shelter. I hope that was the case and was assured she would be adopted out fast.
Thank you. Me too. Yeah, so our series of unfortunate events morphed into a three year-long crucible, and then as our hard work began to pay off, we got to a better spot. A few years later, we were truly BLESSED. An abandoned stray came along and chose us. He is our Scoob, and we spoil him as much as we can.

Thank you! He was really skinny when he first came to us, and we were so grateful that he picked us, we just let him eat as he pleased. He actually got much bigger than this before, and so we were advised to his weight down a little bit. The interesting thing is though, we can tell that he had to have been born in a home because after about a year, we got him a litter box instead of him having to go outside to do his business and he immediately ran to it and knew what to do. He's incredibly intelligent. He's actually very human-like.

Anyways, all to say, i am truly grateful at my second chance. I felt so guilty that i couldn't keep our calico. I truly hope she was blessed with the most amazing home...it still makes me cry. I give our Scoob all i can give him. Nothing makes up for what I've done. I was very young at the time and very broke. There's no excuse, but i won't screw this up this time. It's now been five happy years with our current boy, and we are truly blessed.
Congrats on your tortoise-shell calico! They are very intelligent. They are full of amazing personality and a lot of love! I wish you many warm years of joy! Keep us updated on your choice of name and more pics. I named mine Puzzle cause her different colors together looked like a fitted puzzle and she took to it fast. If yours happens to look the same, the name would be befitting 😊.
