He said “if weed helps you to attain the spirituality government must do some research to remove its side effects” but osho doesn’t use weed cause weed is for spiritually low people he said “ once you start meditating and found your method to spiritually evolve weed will only appear as an obstacle “
Probably not, he said other people often felt uncomfortable around him because of their bad habits like smoking and drinking and I guess smoking weed would fit the same category. But he wouldn't be against weed, there's a video discourse of him, 2 hours he talks a lot about drugs and has a great perspective on it
I am just guessing but I highly suspect he has never taken any recreational drugs. I have heard him say he did not drink alcohol at college parties and would just drink Coca Cola. He was also a vegetarian. He also said he is high and drunk on life 24/7.
I think Rajneesh would have tried while young
It's not a significant criterion, whether one has tried or not, tho
I have tried anything and everything, pretty much
And see that he did nitrous oxide. He did Valium and drank wine. How much and for what reasons are in dispute although with nitrous and Valium, pain was the initial reason.
He said he has tried everything a man can.
He has possibly never mentioned weed, but when I read in his "Glimpses of a Golden Childhood" that he has tried going to a prostitute after asking his maternal grandmother for money for the same, I knew this man knows no limits!!
I’m sure he did during his pre-Acharya stage, at least once. He also said that weed may be a blockage for spiritually low people. But he said once Enlightened you could do anything you wanted. And I think that’s true. However when you’re on 100mg of Valium… not even God himself could focus on the Watcher and the Watched. That’s why in his 1985+ stuff his eyes are just super glazed over, he talks slow, and he’s pretty stale. So I stick to his pre-1982 works. His tapes are much more lively and fiery. Much more passionate. And controversial too. His later work was a softer rehashing of his early stuff. Love him and will always be grateful for his leadership.

Read "Osho on a dental chair" about this. Quite balanced view and events described.
