I added boost high calorie shakes to help with this. Also started taking my morning meds with a small glass of juice (no sugar added) for those extra calories.

How's the taste? I am traumatized due to the chalky, gritty or artificial tasting shakes. I started eating a banana slathered with peanut butter haha.

I hear ya on that! These (I get the chocolate ones) are actually tasty- like a slightly richer chocolate milk. And absolutely zero grit.

Great to hear! I'll grab some on my way home. Thank you (:

Yes, under 1200, but especially under 1000 makes the body think you're starving. It does mess up our metabolism. Use a tdee calculator and then a calorie calculator to figure out what your weightloss calories should be. Most women's maintenance calories are between 2000-2200 and a 500 calorie deficit which is what's recommended to start is 1500-1700 I try to eat btwn 1350-1650 right now and admittedly do fall into the 1300 range more often but even if I'm not feeling very hungry I try and find things I can have at the end of the day that pack a lot of calories in a small package to get me up. Yesterday, I had barely reached 1200, so I ate a piece of candied ginger, drank a bit of coconut water and ate a third of a tbsp of hemp hearts and got up to 1340. So over a 1000 calories with very little effort. Eating like 3-5 nuts could be an easy way to pack extra calories end of day if you're struggling

Thank you (: I started eating a banana slathered in peanut butter to up my calories. I'll start packing some healthy calorie dense snacks to top off my calorie goals!

Good question... I'm getting close to 1200 a day and will eat a handful of nuts at the end of the day if I'm low. Nuts, avocado, hi fat yogurt, cheese...

I just started doing that too! A handful of cashews or a banana slathered in peanut butter. Yum! It's such an odd feeling not being hungry and not wanting to over eat haha. I used to wish I had more calories to indulge.

No it’s not bad at all to eat 1K calories a day. I did it for a few months and it was totally fine. Just make sure to drink a lot of water and keep exercise at bay (nothing too intense).
