That's me. Built a desktop with 16GB RAM, Ryzen9 7950x & RX 7900XTX & the only games I own are Last of US & Jedi: Survivor, which AMD gave me for buying their hardware.
I’m not a computer tech guy. But how easy/hard it is to build your own desktop with no computer building skills. I want to build my own. Please guide me.
I builded mine with my cousin (he is a expert) and took about 2-3h for build it and 1-2h for configure it and it was ready (made in two different days)
I'm not a tech guy either. I just went to my local hardware shop & said to them, 'Here's my budget, I need to assemble a gaming desktop within this budget'. And they did that. I specifically had the graphics card in mind & they told me the other parts (cabinet, power supply, motherboard, processor...) that are compatible with the graphics card & within my budget.
For your first time and with little tech skills it’ll probably take you a little bit but most of that time will be spent reading the instructions that come with all your parts.
Look up a list of all the parts you need for a pc and use that as a checklist. You want to make sure all the parts are compatible too, for example if you want to to with an AMD processor then make sure your motherboard supports them.
Honestly as long as you know how to google it’s easy as hell. Youtube is great as well, once you get your parts you can just follow along with a video.
It's not that hard. I built my first pc alone and took me about 2h.
My tip would be : check tutorials on YT, there are plenty of it. Watch and learn from 3 or 4 videos max, see which steps or identical or not and learn from it.
It's not super hard and almost everything can go in just ONE way. I don't have the word in english for it. In french it's "détrompeur".
Have fun !
It's very very easy. You may not understand certain things at first, but with good tutorials and the manuals, you can do everything. I built my first in about 3 hours.
Hey dude, I've built 4 different computers at this point and I know how difficult it can be to find quality information. if you need help or advice, feel free to reach out
You can get fallout New Vegas for free on epic right now. There's also a mod expansion called new frontier I think which adds a fresh story in a new region.
I don't know about elamigos myself, but Fitgirl and Dodi both repack cracked games. This is useful for people who don't have much available storage space as well as those who don't have fast internet speeds.
Not sure why this is downvoted. The point of repacked games is to reduce the download time that uses wifi but in exchange increases the required storage and the unpack time. Repacks are meant for people with shitty wifi but pretty much everyone uses them rn
You need the compressed version to actually go through with the installation though. If a game is 80 gb and you install it directly, you only need 80 gb. But if you aee going to install a repack you will need 80 gb + the size of the repack. It is a real problem with a lot people (me included). To install rdr2 with my shitty wifi I had to completely factory reset my laptop and only keep the bare essentials, but once the installation was done I had 60 gb to play with later
You've got all the games you want on this magical medium called the internet.
Unfortunately most will be older games as new games aren't exactly worth having magically appear on your pc.
Ikr i sometimes fantasize about a world where we can pirate hardware just like software. I know that there will be people that "crack" pc components and distribute to the not wealthy us.
Don't worry you have a pc now, you won't have to buy things, it's more of a charity donation. Don't forget to support indie developers or good studios though. Something like the last of us you can pirate. Something like A Plague Tale you should try to buy.
That's why i haven't bought a console since the wii.
Pc hardware is much more expensive, but in the long term with piracy, free downloads and abandonware emulation it works out much cheaper
Rules on how to get games: 1 download from Xbox Game Pass, if not on Game Pass then check for sale or at a reasonable price, if not on sale/reasonable price then DODI.
me after completing my pc build - now where's my eyepatch and ship ? hey blacky turn the sail on , we will be invading the sea soon to feed your beast XD
Oh wow, I didn’t even know my post got crossposted. Anywho, I made this meme because this was an issue I had when I first built my PC 5 years ago and didn’t have many games. So, I was kinda poking fun at past me.

Yea... we dont own the games either, they just magically appear in my drive!!!
Fr, still have to find out where they come from
Santa must be giving them to us good PPL and those who have to buy it are bad PPL so Santa don't give it to them.
Tru tru
Whisper it into my ear

It's as easy and plugging stuff in and screwing in screws.

Can you link me to good sources please?
Sorry mate, I can link you only to good Italian sources like morethantech assemblaggio pc.

You can get fallout New Vegas for free on epic right now. There's also a mod expansion called new frontier I think which adds a fresh story in a new region.
Also, New California, which adds another storyline. It's also worth getting a Tale of Two Wastelands if you also have Fallout 3.
Thanks for the tip, might go back and play the fallout series again. It's been a while.
you technically dont own them. you have a license to play them through steam. you also cant give them to your kids when you die
The games are in DODI, Fitgirl, Elamigos.
Sorry for asking but what's the difference between those three?
I don't know about elamigos myself, but Fitgirl and Dodi both repack cracked games. This is useful for people who don't have much available storage space as well as those who don't have fast internet speeds.
repacks uses more storage space (for the repack and the unpacked game)
Not sure why this is downvoted. The point of repacked games is to reduce the download time that uses wifi but in exchange increases the required storage and the unpack time. Repacks are meant for people with shitty wifi but pretty much everyone uses them rn
I mean you can just delete the compressed version after installing it.

You buy a lot of games, Your PC couldn't run it
Vice versa
That’s why I created accounts on Steam, Epic etc and got all free games before I built my gaming PC.
Control, death stranding, etc W
I keep telling people to at least make pc accounts and redeem the free games.
And they're like "yeah ok whatever"
To my surprise I think they actually do redeem them.
Time to sail the high seas
Huh wonder what the deleted comments are about on the original post
To the internet jimmy ![gif](giphy|1BjW0LNnhSyurA6Xw8)
I wish I would have known this when I built mine.
🏴☠️
While buying my laptop, i was comparing between console and laptop and the biggest advantage i found of Laptop was free games
Well, sometimes, there's another way... *The Pirates of Caribbean song appears and the logos of ElAmigos, Fitgirl, CODEX, and more appear*
🏴☠️ARRRR🏴☠️
TPB 😏
You've got all the games you want on this magical medium called the internet. Unfortunately most will be older games as new games aren't exactly worth having magically appear on your pc.
Ahoy!!! We dont say that here.
There are free Games and there are also "free" games. I don't see the problem
The exact opposite for us isn't it? I have a shit ton of free games, and can pirate any game, but can't run 90% of them

Ikr i sometimes fantasize about a world where we can pirate hardware just like software. I know that there will be people that "crack" pc components and distribute to the not wealthy us.
That's the neat part. You don't need to.
Don't worry you have a pc now, you won't have to buy things, it's more of a charity donation. Don't forget to support indie developers or good studios though. Something like the last of us you can pirate. Something like A Plague Tale you should try to buy.
Building my gaming pc :) Pirating every games :)
Epic gave a lot of games for free in the past. If you didn't redeem the games it's your fault

Luckily, the most fun you can have online has been free for over a decade now!
There's no struggle at all if we consider the fact that "magic" (1337) is a thing xD.
why to own 😂..when we have ☠️
Funny, they actually straight up banned folk who mentioned piracy
guys I actually got a new PC, please give me games requires NASA PC specs.
Forspoken You said games that require a NASA PC (on ultra), not games that are good.
why didnt u say Golum?
Time for the classic r/tf2
\*cough\* torrent \*cough\* what who said that?? not me!!
Me with storage problem..... can't install nothing..
Rules on how to get games: 1 download from Xbox Game Pass, if not on Game Pass then check for sale or at a reasonable price, if not on sale/reasonable price then DODI.
Epic games, Amazon and Humble bundle gave me 50+ games or i paid Just $1
Bragging about pirating isn't a thing either. If you love the game, support the developer. Don't be like this.
