IDK, I had to try this one more than any others so far. But there hasn't like been any level so far where I rage quit because I couldn't complete all the missions.
But I will also say the only other Sonic game I've played for more than a few minutes (and played all the way through) was Sonic Adventure, so for me there's a learning curve that might not be there for people who grew up on Sonic games.
It seemed difficult at first but it's a matter of finding the quickest paths that can save you lot of time. I was able to get an S rank within a fraction of a second.
I thought it was pretty though and I felt accomplished when I did it. but I'm a casual player and also generally bad at Sonic games. I think it has gained this legendary status because it's thougher than expected. It will take a few tries for most players and it's the second cyberspace stage in the game, which you'd expect to be easy to s-rank.
No, but it's deceptively challenging considering it's the strictest S rank in the game and no other level comes close too it. When you know what's required it's not too bad, but it definitely catches you off gaurd the first time.
After you learn the best paths and get comfortable with the controls, it’s not that bad, but having it be the second level you ever play while getting used to the new controls, it can be pretty hard.
the timing is pretty tight but it is by no means actually difficult it takes a few tries to optimize it but when the game came out I s ranked it in like 5 attempts
People over exaggerate it. It only takes a few tries to learn what you need to do. It’s hard, but not insane. You don’t need the spin dash or homing boost like people use to get the S rank
The biggest difficulty is just figuring out how to route out the last few seconds you need. It's also really frustrating when sonic bounces off some invisible geometry and steps a foot back on top of the building at the end.
I must be a noob, I feel like I’ve taken 50 or so runs on some levels to get S ranking. It only seems possible when you’re not getting caught up in anything at all. The moment I trip up or get hit by an enemy I just start over
Compared to every other letter: it’s pretty high up there considering it’s the second level. But otherwise it’s not a super challenge.
Though I wish they did add another tier level with the free DLC, that would have been fun.
So overall I think the issue is there seems to be no rhyme or reason to the rating system on the various cyberspace levels. Some, like 1-2, have it so fine tuned that it took me a good hour of tries to finally eek out an S rank.
Meanwhile, others I S-ranked even after stopping to backtrack a bit for a missed Red Ring or hitting a sudden stop or having to hit a checkpoint after a death.
It's just a weird array of very forgiving ones and utterly merciless ones
I feel that when you compare it to the other levels, it is the most unforgiving one. In other levels, I can get S rank pretty easily even when I get hiccups along the way (like taking a hit or being stopped by an obstacle). In 1-2, it felt like I needed to make no mistake. It was pretty fun trying to master it.
In my opinion it is a very rewarding S rank to get
It’s hard until you know what to do and then it’s pretty much never an issue again. Like I know what paths to take etc. But if you have no prior knowledge on the stage yeaaah it’s hard. It took me an hour or two to S rank the first time.
It's not super hard but definitely takes a few tries to learn where you can shave that last second or 2 off your time
I got an s rank on it on launch day first try casually but then took me like 10 tries in my second play through.
OK nice to know

If no one has ever seen any footage or knowledge of Sonic Frontiers, and was playing fresh their first time then I’d say yes
No
Fair enough
As a very casual player, it must of taken me at least 20 tries, maybe more towards 30. To me, that makes the level hard.

I S ranked the boss rush, cyberspace challenge, and the wave 3 DLC the when I played back in July 2022. It really wasn’t that hard. All first try.
Jeez, it took you that long? I had all that done by January. It’s really not that hard.
I'd finished the whole thing last August, wave 3, all additional characters, NG+ , the true final boss. Not that tough
Damn, it took you that long? Had all of that done before the game released. It ain't that hard.
I'm an experienced sonic player, and it took me 3 hours of grinding... Do I just suck at gaming?
No
only on someone's first attempt on a first playthrough of the game. afterwards, nah it's easy.
Nah, its actually pretty hard if you ask me.
Once you unlock spindash its pretty easy

it is overrated asf

It’s not hard but it’s not easy either you just need to figure out a fast route to get the S rank.

Not really.
I abused the fact that Sonics air boost goes further if you use it right after falling off a platform
With spindash absolutely not

On a fresh start with no background info yeah definitely. It just takes time to get the rhythm right
