I always prefer commentary to be by the people who actually perform the sport. Listening to a wrestling podcast, by wrestlers or a basketball podcast, by players etc
It's probably something Meltzer lacks at times. All we get is a star rating and that's it. Maybe he says it on his show but that never goes back to the audience.

Roman is a safe wrestler who gets the crowd invested in his matches more than just about anyone in the business right now. Only an imbecile would think he is bad and Omega has been a pro wrestler for 20 years, of course he understands things.
One of the most memorable matches for me last year was the tag match at money in the bank. Solely for the Roman sitting down on the apron due to fan chanting and then standing and having a proper sulk moaning to Heyman.
Roman nails little interactions with the crowd better than anyone right now because his character work with the ‘Tribal Chief’ gimmick is goat level.
I mean Roman could do a five star match with most people. Just because the Bloodline title defence matches have a set format shouldn't distract from the fact Roman is an incredible wrestler overall.

I feel like that's content that's kinda missing though (or I just haven't found it). We have fans and journalists rating matches, occasionally you have some former wrestler or wrestling personality with a podcast talk about matches, but I actually would love to have active wrestlers sit down and rate matches. Be it current or classic matches. Always find it interesting to see what wrestlers themselves look for in matches.
