I was in this same … boat…until I decided to get a wiiu and play/beat ww. Now I could not imagine playing it on the switch. The game feels like it was made for the wiiu. Playing with the gamepad for navigation and menus was such a perfect experience. I tried playing with a pro controller instead of the gamepad and it took so much away from the overall gameplay.
Now id love for Xenoblade chronicles x to be on the switch but not having the second screen may sway me on this game too.
In the end I’ll double dip on ww, tp, and xcx anyways.
I didn't buy a Wii U, but I never did finish WW because of how atrocious the end game triforce grind was. Scavenge a bunch of rupees, by some map, try to find the treasure, repeat a hundred times.
even with a guide i couldnt be fucked. still havent seen the ending to ww. heard the wii u version streamlined that part some.
The HD version removed some steps. Now, instead of finding the map in a labyrinth, paying to have the map deciphered, and then fishing up the Triforce shard, now you'll just find the shard in the labyrinth.
I disagree. Respectfully, and I'm sure my opinion is in the minority, but I find the triforce pieces easy to get (I buy the maps right away) and once you get the song for fast travel and wind control it makes it fairly quick. But I also enjoy the sailing part I just had to keep my OCD in check bc I wanted to pick up every rupee and glow spot from the floor and that's just insane lol.
I had my comment deleted on /r/nintendoswitch because I used the word "dorks" in a general sense.
removed for personal attack even though it wasn't directed at anyone in particular.
dorks.
I just laughed, double checked with the mods that was why it was removed, laughed again then unsubbed. fuckin dorks, lol.
I got a 3 day ban on Facebook for posting a picture of tupac shaking hands with Osama bin laden , because someone posted Tupac shaking hands with malcom from malcom in the middle and I said this is my favorite fake tupac picture and posted it and..
Ban.
Hey OP, if you like the rpg aspect more than action (although it has plenty) you should def check out New Vegas. It’s a brilliant game.
(If you want another opinion other than a rando on Reddit, check out HBomberguy’s video on it. Little long but a lovely dive

wonderful game! I would gladly buy a switch version. proud ps2 owner though.
Yes! And it would look so GOOD! Okami HD is a beautiful game, and Wind Waker HD too. Similar graphical style. Those old school cel shaded games look great with an HD Glow up!
I’ve been saying they need to make a new version in VR and I don’t even own a VR headset. It’s perfect for it from the miracle gestures to picking up items and villagers. It makes absolutely no sense that this didn’t happen yet.
That would be unrealistic unless we are talking about just have Pokemon from gen 1-2 being usableWould like to see funtionality with Gen 1-2 pokemon games though
I recently bought a Wii U just to play these two games. I hadn't played TP since the Wii came out and I had never played Wind Waker. Totally worth the hour drive and $60.
FUCK YES. Otogi is so good I thought I was the only person to know that game. I’ve gone crazy for years referencing it to no avail. Both otogi games rock.
It'd be painful to play skate 3 on joycons, but how I wish it was easier to play Skate nowadays :(
Not very hopeful about skate. anymore, but let's see
i found all the skate games for the ps3 (including the wii one, didn't even know that existed till i found it) at a local used game shop for $15 each! you can also get skate 3 on xbox for pretty cheap, or you can emulate it on a pc!
Id love a remake of ssx tricky with awesome graphics like thps1+2. Id gladly buy a straight port though. Also dlc level packs for tony hawk that have all the best levels would be nice
It’s ashamed. I put around 300 hours in the Dreamcast version and around 500 hours on the GameCube back then. Was hoping for the 3rd one to be released on the Switch but it was Japan only. I was totally bummed out.
> Seriously I don’t know why hasn’t this been done yet.
same here. it's on ps3 and 360 and psp....shouldn't be too hard to port over a 1990's side scroller that's mostly 2D.
It's funny that the OP said Morrowind as I was going to pop in and say Oblivion as one of my answers. I was a huge fan of Oblivion. Here are some others.
* **Fallout 3**
* **Elder Scrolls: Oblivion**
* **Pokemon** **Heart Gold / Soul Silver**
* **Diablo 1**
* **Zelda: Wind Waker**
* **Wario World (GameCube).**
Oblivion is rumored to be getting a remake, fingers crossed.
Didn't expect to see diablo 1 mentioned. D2 and D3 work well on the platform, and D1 did get a PS1 port back in the day. I'd love to see D1 get a similar treatment as they did with D2R!
Man I can't believe it took so much scrolling to find any mention of Double Dash. Such a goated game, a shame it's not remastered for the Switch yet. I would definitely pay retail for it!
I've heard rumors some metroid news is due by 2025. hoping it includes at the very least straight ports of 2 & 3 with all the control options from MPR.
I spent so much time fiddling wih twin stick controls in dolphin over the years - it was so nice having them included from the get go.
Second Morrowind. I would put many hours into that on Switch. Some of my favourite gaming memories are of wandering the wilds in Morrowind on original Xbox. My first real exposure to open world rpg goodness, seeing as I didn't have a PC.
Morrowind sold me on the Xbox. I started that gen with a GC, but was deep into JRPG's at the time. Coming off the PS1 golden era the GC RPG drought was rough.
Was debating between the JRPG powerhouse that the PS2 was with the brand new XBox with way better graphics and the built in HDD. Morrowind was one of the games that made me go with Xbox.
Took me a bit to get the hang of it but once it clicked I fell in love. The raw freedom it allowed killed my interested in linear JRPG's for two decades. I'm just now back to the point where I can beat one, lol.
Eventually I modded that xbox and loaded it up with all the RPG's from the SNES, GEN and PS1 I missed out on. Don't think I completed any of them. Did beat CV SotN for my first time on it though.....
For a console player the freedom in a game like Morrowind was mind blowing. I didn't have access to the Internet then, I read in an Xbox magazine about this upcoming game that has "the freedom of GTA 3", or words to that effect. They had pictures of the hills and coast, which back then looked amazing to me!
I can imagine how it would kill your interest in linear games. I'd always dreamed about more open ended games that allowed us to explore a huge world and approach quests in different ways.
Looking back, it was a pretty janky game, especially combat, but I'm so glad it exists and I got the chance to experience it when I did. I doubt we'll get it on Switch, but I would get it day one if they did spoil us. Outward is coming out very soon on Switch, may have a dabble in that, see if it can spark a similar adventure feeling.
yeah Morrowind was the kind of experience 90's kids dreamed about, along with fantasizing about how cool it'd be to have arcade perfect street fighter ports for consoles you could play against people online with. So much freedom, it was mind blowing.
I still remember the IGN review that sold me on the game, can still quote parts of it. "Morrowind is the type of game where the more you put into it, the more you'll get out of it."
Oblivion was rumored to be remade, maybe we'll get that. While I prefer Morrowind, Oblivion is the Elder Scrolls game I've played through the fewest amount of times, so it'd feel fresher for me.
Oblivion would be cool too. It's also my least played out of the past three Elder Scrolls main games. Played Morrowind to death, ditto Skyrim (on every system!), but Oblivion came out during a period in my life that I gamed least. I played a little, liked it, but a Switch port would mean I'd get properly into it.
same story for me. I played through it once on PS3 and enjoyed it, but got balls deep into dark souls / demons souls shortly after and never replayed it.
The Rogue Squadron series (throw in Battle for Naboo as well)
Mass Effect Trilogy
Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction
The original series of Lego games, Star Wars: The Complete Saga, Indiana Jones, Lego Batman 1 & 2
Those are what I can think of off the top of my head
I would like to see a bunch of third party games from the 360/PS3 era. They kinda did it with a lot of Vita games. For example:
Remember Me
Sleeping Dogs
Mass Effect
Witcher 2
SpecOps
Tomb Raider (reboot, first one)
There are probably a bunch, but the first game(s) that came to mind were fallout 3 and new vegas in a double pack
BUT ONLY, if its fixed with the fan mods, because damn.
def jam fight for ny
skate 3 (wishful thinking)
windwaker HD
tony hawk’s american wasteland (im happy with pro skater 1+2 in my collection but wasteland was really my skate game as a kid)
bully (if rockstar actually kinda gave af about nintendo)
pokémon colosseum
edit: my bad I can’t read, you said one. but i’ll leave them here.
Breath of Fire collection. 1-4, polished graphics, remastered soundtrack, quality of life features and some optional end game content would be heaven 😍😍😍
Wind Waker (exact same version that the Wii u had). (I’d also pick Twilight Princess, but if I could only choose ONE, it’d be WW)
I never played it, and I would really like to give it a go!
I was in this same … boat…until I decided to get a wiiu and play/beat ww. Now I could not imagine playing it on the switch. The game feels like it was made for the wiiu. New Vegas
I got banned from Facebook because I said "I'd kill for a Fallout port on switch"
🤣
You thinkthats funny... my 30 day ban prior to that was because I said "poop". Not shit. Not scat. Not feces. Poop.

Id rather have 3 personally
I bought a used copy on ps3 and never got around to trying it. Heard a lot of people preferred it to 3.
Hey OP, if you like the rpg aspect more than action (although it has plenty) you should def check out New Vegas. It’s a brilliant game. (If you want another opinion other than a rando on Reddit, check out HBomberguy’s video on it. Little long but a lovely dive
The Simpsons Hit and Run
Hell to the yeah. Perfect couch co-op
Left 4 dead 1 and 2. Half life 2 and episode 1 and 2.
Left 4 dead would be so good
Jet Grind Radio or Jet Set Radio Future.
Future would be great. The original is already available on steam but future deserves the rerelease across all platforms
Majoras mask 3ds remake
id love to see both the 3DS remakes get ported to switch in 1080p.
Viewtiful Joe!
https://preview.redd.it/mxz0k5trewqc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=afd005ee68a5c8f5de1df69b4090fbfb4bda1942 wonderful game! I would gladly buy a switch version. proud ps2 owner though.
Fellow GUN enjoyer
A collection would be amazing
Yes! And it would look so GOOD! Okami HD is a beautiful game, and Wind Waker HD too. Similar graphical style. Those old school cel shaded games look great with an HD Glow up!
Yes. Absolutely this. One of my favorite GameCube games.
The Mass Effect trilogy
Yes. This would be amazing
Fallout 3 & New Vegas Bundle with all DLC. Please God.
As someone who just started a new playthrough of new Vegas, would absolutely love these games on switch
Tod would rather keep seeking us Skyrim
XCX
I was hoping someone would say this!
I want to believe it'll happen before the next console. It's basically the only Wii U game left that hasn't been ported.
If it's a Switch 2 launch title, I'll be satisfied
Black & White
😲 now that’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time…
I’ve been saying they need to make a new version in VR and I don’t even own a VR headset. It’s perfect for it from the miracle gestures to picking up items and villagers. It makes absolutely no sense that this didn’t happen yet.
All the Legacy Pokemon games and make them compatible with Pokemon Stadium 1 & 2 which you can play via subscription already
That would be unrealistic unless we are talking about just have Pokemon from gen 1-2 being usableWould like to see funtionality with Gen 1-2 pokemon games though
Wind Waker and Twilight Princess HD so I can get rid of my Wii U
I recently bought a Wii U just to play these two games. I hadn't played TP since the Wii came out and I had never played Wind Waker. Totally worth the hour drive and $60.
Sonic Adventure! Make sure we can interact with the Chao more than the PC version, though. Also, Otogi: Myth of Demons.
FUCK YES. Otogi is so good I thought I was the only person to know that game. I’ve gone crazy for years referencing it to no avail. Both otogi games rock.
**Skate 3** I think this could be realistically done as the large open world was split into different sections Maybe less realistic: **Sleeping Dogs**
It'd be painful to play skate 3 on joycons, but how I wish it was easier to play Skate nowadays :( Not very hopeful about skate. anymore, but let's see
i found all the skate games for the ps3 (including the wii one, didn't even know that existed till i found it) at a local used game shop for $15 each! you can also get skate 3 on xbox for pretty cheap, or you can emulate it on a pc!
Sleeping dogs could definitely be done
SSX Tricky
Day one buy, so many memories of that game
I've been hoping an SSX game would come out for the Switch. I loved the SSX on Tour game on PSP.
Id love a remake of ssx tricky with awesome graphics like thps1+2. Id gladly buy a straight port though. Also dlc level packs for tony hawk that have all the best levels would be nice
lego batman 😭
Imagine a Lego Batman collection with 1-3
1-3, with all DLC included
Phantasy Star Online 2
I get irrationally mad when I think about how there is a Japanese version of it and that's all there probably will ever be
It’s ashamed. I put around 300 hours in the Dreamcast version and around 500 hours on the GameCube back then. Was hoping for the 3rd one to be released on the Switch but it was Japan only. I was totally bummed out.
Castlevania Symphony of the Night! Seriously I don’t know why hasn’t this been done yet. Easy money for Konami.
> Seriously I don’t know why hasn’t this been done yet. same here. it's on ps3 and 360 and psp....shouldn't be too hard to port over a 1990's side scroller that's mostly 2D.

Kirby Air Ride.... or Double dash.
Man I can't believe it took so much scrolling to find any mention of Double Dash. Such a goated game, a shame it's not remastered for the Switch yet. I would definitely pay retail for it!
Xenoblade Chronicles X. Let me pilot my big robot.
The rest of the Metroid prime trilogy.
I've heard rumors some metroid news is due by 2025. hoping it includes at the very least straight ports of 2 & 3 with all the control options from MPR. I spent so much time fiddling wih twin stick controls in dolphin over the years - it was so nice having them included from the get go.
Twilight Princess!
I love skyward sword but tbh I’m surprised they chose to port that one instead of Twilight Princess. Wasn’t that one more successful than SS?
TP did sell more than SS, so I'm really not sure what the holdup is with a remaster or port. Maybe for the Switch 2...
The Sims
I would love to play sims on the go but I feel like if they were gonna do it, they’d do it by now 😭 maybe sims 5 will be on switch who knows!
GTA IV. If the damn thing can run Red Dead, it can run that.
truth
This 👆. It can also run LA Noire
Projectzomboid
Dragon Age Trilogy
Diddy Kong Racing (the N64 game, not the terrible DS port).
Imagine the original Diddy Kong racing, but updated graphics to use the look for Mario Kart 8,
What was wrong with ds port?
Second Morrowind. I would put many hours into that on Switch. Some of my favourite gaming memories are of wandering the wilds in Morrowind on original Xbox. My first real exposure to open world rpg goodness, seeing as I didn't have a PC.

Bully

Urbz, Bustin' Out, and all those other Sims Ports that were wacky and had stories.
My sister and I would try speed runs with the Urbz to beat each other. We were adults.

Just bring the whole series over!

Morrowind is the best answer! I actually just set up my 360 again just to play. Would be much more convenient if it was on my Switch instead.
Sea of thieves
This and morrowind are my legit top choices, sea of thieves is so perfect for the switch
There are probably a bunch, but the first game(s) that came to mind were fallout 3 and new vegas in a double pack BUT ONLY, if its fixed with the fan mods, because damn.
GTA 4
Pokemom black and white. Been waiting for it for 7 years
As always, Final Fantasy Tactics.
Prince of Persia Trilogy

Final Fantasy Tactics
Bloodborne. I think it is doable
hahaha, the amount of salt and rage on videogame message boards everywhere if they ported it to switch and not pc. that would entertain me for years.
Animal crossing (GameCube)
that one was cool. they lost me when they took all the nes games out.
Windwaker
My pick: New Vegas ..but one last Zelda port, possibly Wind Waker makes more sense I guess. Also, DS2, strange that didn't port it.
A trilogy of final fantasy tactics in HD2D

Conker's bad fur day. God of war
Pokemon Emerald
Settlers 2 for me
The Sly Cooper Games.
BO2
Bit of a boring answer, but honestly, Nintendo Land and NES Remix 1 & 2 from the Wii U. Weird they never ported them over.
Crash Bash!!
Oblivion for sure, sucks all switch gets is Skyrim
All PS3 tales of games, (tales of Hearts R would be nice too)
Rimworld. It's a bit GPU heavy but I think it'll run fine
Original Max Payne
dark souls 3???
I'd be so happy with morrowind. I'd pick Oblivion or Morrowind.
