Silver Lynel horns have more than 50 damages 51 for the hammer horn and 54 for the saber horn iirc. Do the floating coliseum every blood moon for two of each, and they have decent durability.
Zora weapons are best if you want a multiplier with high durability, but you have to keep yourself wet. The 1 HP weapons are also pretty good damage but there's obviously risk there.
The area mentioned is the “floating coliseum” in the depths. It is found directly below where the actual coliseum would be (iirc) and has 5 progressively tougher Lynels to fight in a row >!if you beat all five you get Majoras Mask from a chest in the center!<

Well the last one I remember, it was on the island that is going to the southeast (in front of the gerudo dagger tear), on that island there is a depth hole, below you will see a coliseum and literally next to it there is a shadow where I found the Claymore . Although this is supposed to be random and I found at least 4, I guess it must be because I have farmed lynels like a psycho
Kill likelikes in caves around zoras domain, the chests they drop have a high chance of dropping regional gear. You can just save/kill till you get what you want.
But there's a limit to the grade weapon according to how far you advanced in the game in the depths. i may be wrong since i can't test it but i think that for the royal guard sword to appear you need to have cleared the gamr once and get the star.
I have yet to find one myself, however if you want a tip for finding one, go to hateno ancient tech lab and purchase pieces of the hyrule compendium until you get an undecayed royals guards claymore. from there just fly around the depths with it on your sensor+ until you find one.
You just have to be wet and the wet effect lasts longer now than it did in BotW so imo zora weapons are the best weapons for getting crazy damage numbers and making it last. You can activate Sidon's ability to make yourself wet at anytime or just throw a splash fruit at your feet.

Honestly, I wish they'd take something subtle and largely useless, eg farming hoe, and when combined with something similarly useless (yet infrequent, if not rare) turns into a mega-weapon.

I have a royal guard claymore fused with a sliver lynel Saber horn at low durability with an attack +10 modifier that does 194 damage that I use when riding lynels backs
If you get a royal guard claymore (the black one) and throw it at some rock octorocks till you get a plus 10 attack then fuse it to a silver lynel saber and get it to low durability you can get a max of 194 attack, it only lasts a few hits but it’s well worth it
Silver lynel hammer horn + Royal Guard Claymore at low durability, I believe, gave the highest numbers. If you save it for when you're on a lynel's back it wont break on you.
From what I've seen, Royal Guard Claymore + Silver Lynel Saber Horn with Attack Up +10 and Low Durability is really good, clocking in at about 197~ish damage. Check out the video by AustinJohnPlays, he explains it better.

Royal Guard's Claymore has the highest base damage of the weapons with the highest multiplier (near-breaking) I believe so that undecayed with attack up+ fused to a silver lynel horn would be the "winner" but that's only useful for lynel mounting.
Personally, Lightscale Trident is great because it has lots of durability, is a spear, and is easy to activate the multiplier on. Scimitar of the Seven has 30 less durability [edit: than the Lightscale Trident] factoring in fusion durability reduction but you don't have to manage it at all, so that's also decent.
Scimitar of the Seven actually dies have its full durability, which is part of what makes it so strong. It's tied with the biggoron sword at 60 durability, which I believe is the second highest for melee weapons.
It has its full durability but the Lightscale Trident has 70 base durability and Gerudo weapons including the Scimitar of the Seven get 5 bonus fused durability instead of the most common 25. Still lasts a while and is low maintenance for high damage of course.
Oh, I didn't know gerudo weapons did that at all. I thought they doubled fuse power but to compensate they had naturally low durability base, which I was pointing out that the Scimitar shouldn't have an issue with. Yea, after fusion the scimitar is pretty dang good
I believe the best weapons in terms if dps right now is the Light Scale Trident. Base Atk is 22 and durability is 70(I believe that's the highest melee weapon in the game. It doubles its total power whenever link is wet, which can be achieve easily through certain shield fusions and Sidon's ability. Adding in a silver lynel horn brings it to 77 base atk, and adding a modifier to it with octorocks can bring it to 87. When wet, that's 174, and unlike the Royal guard sword or the royal spear, you can have that atk boost constantly and spears attack speed is fast af boi.
If you really want to maximize its damage, I believe the Frost armor set will freeze enemies on every hit of the charged atk(I haven't tested this yet, I don't have the armor yet) frozen enemies take 3x damage and the armor set pieces individually have a cold atk up modifier(I don't know how strong this is yet.) Atk up food can add upto another 50% atk per hit. Altogether, atk up 3 will bring it to 261 atk, and frozen enemies will take 783 dmg. I believe the set bonus from the armor freezes on every hit(please correct me if I'm wrong), so every other hit it can deal that juicy 783 if you only use charged attacks.
Otherwise, because there are enemies that cannot be frozen, just swap your frost set for the thunder set(I don't remember their names) When you make yourself wet, you can also make enemies wet and give the lightning ability from charged attacks AoE lightning dmg. I don't know how much lightning deals though.
Oh, i thought that would only happen with amiibos. I'm a dummy. If it wasn't obvious, the post is in regards to theoretical highest consistent damage. I'm still not at a point to test it.

The best weapon is by far the Scimitar of the seven at this point of the game. it doubles the power of whatever fused, so fused with a Silver lynel saber horn it does like 120 damage. there is also the royal claymore lynel horn but that is only viable against lynels since it has to be badly damaged. Also, the scimitar is one handed meaning it is much quicker and you can use a shield. It can also be rebuilt at anytime if it breaks

The downside is it breaks in 3 hits, but weapons don’t lose durability if you hit a lynel during a mount. As such I have dubbed it the lynel slayer
It's a Royal Guard +10 Attack up, combined with a Modulga Jaw, Atk+3 from Food and the Radiant/Evil Spirit Set.
The Evil Spirit/ Radiant Set (lvl 2+) gives a 1.8 damage multiplier for bone weapons, and the Moldulga jaw counts as bone (it doesn't show the increase on the inventory page only when attacking)
Then you add the Multiplier from Attack up lvl 3 from food ontop of that.
Get your Royal Claymore 1 hit away from breaking (get the badly damaged prompt then hit it 2 more times) for the most damage, it apprebtly doubles the damage again when it has 1 durability left even though it doesn't show it on screen, so you'll be
You'll kill a Silver Lynel in 2 hits once your mounted.
You can also do hundreds of damage per shot with a x5 Bow when fusing a Gibido bone onto your arrow. (Gibido bones on weapons just break, even if you fuse it after the Claymore is close to breaking it just disappears after you hit something)
Using the glitch to fuse a broken royal Claymore with a Modulga jaw onto the Master sword and using one of these sets is probably the highest damage you can get since you can still use attack up food, but it's probably way too much of a hassle unless you dupe tons of Horns to keep the food buffs up for 30mins.
As it turns out the “ancient blade” attachment is a single use item. Like the ancient arrows in botw it makes the enemy vanish.
Put it in the forest dweller spear. It has the ability to reuse burst items

For me it's definitely either using zora weapons, as Sidon or a splashfruit procs them for 30ish seconds, and 1HP with the rupee set works well too.

The “Ancient Blade” attachment is only +50 normally. The “Strong Fusion” trait doubled that to 100.

(Gibido bones on weapons just break, even if you fuse it after the Claymore is close to breaking it just disappears after you hit something) Using the glitch to fuse a broken royal Claymore with a Modulga jaw onto the Master sword and using one of these sets is probably the highest damage you can get since you can still use attack up food, but it's probably way too much of a hassle unless you dupe tons of Horns to keep the food buffs up for 30mins.
Btw the double in power once u hit it twice is bc weapons do 2x damage on the las hit
