man were did you do this loool ive been using the patio roof of the hateno house with a fan to do this lol havnt tried with fairies yet tho cause i kno they tend to be finicky
I got half way through DS2 before I decided I wanted to keep my hair. I could only die without recovering my xp so many times before my brain decided this was not a worthwhile endeavor. Hats off to the skilled and resilient players willing to practice their video games.
Thatâs completely valid and donât let anyone tell you otherwise. Soulsbourne games are for a specific type and if thatâs not you then no big deal. Iâm not a fan of fighting games, theyâre not for me đ¤ˇââď¸. Also Dark Souls 2 is the worst of the series
THAT SAID! My suggestion would be to hold shield and stand close constantly strafe to the side the weapon isnât on, itâll miss you everytime. Take it slow and steady, youâll get em.
Honestly I think the best think you can learn about them is instead of trying to dodge them is to shield block them. You can interrupt all their sword attacks and their charge attack this way, leaving them stunned for a bit. Just run from the big point blank AoE they like to do.
Admittedly the final one in the coliseum was pretty brutal and I struggled with that timing, but the first 3 weren't bad.
Soul borne games are made for the kind people who enjoy like, ritualistic skin hanging and putting their genitals in blenders and stuff.
rock on if your into it, but i hope my Armored Core dosnt get to influenced by Souls success.
People say this really donât understand the appeal. Itâs not that itâs hard, itâs challenging. I know, theyâre very similar but the key difference is that every boss is designed to be able to beat it with the bare minimum. Every encounter is a skill check, obviously made easier with gear but a skill check none the less. I enjoy knowing that if I die itâs cuz I wasnât good enough, not that I didnât have X y Z.
Is anyone every Good Enoughâ˘ď¸ on their first try of a boss, even experienced players? It seems like a rhythm game in that you need to know whatâs coming because you canât react fast enough.
oh, i 100% dont see the appeal, i admit that and would never think to try get get soulborn games more to my flavour.
if you like em you like em, but they are for sure not for everyone.
Unlike souls you have limited amount of damage and protection in your pockets and all those lynels is one absurdly large damage sponge. This not really about skill but about checking your gear level (or sanity if youâre too stubborn). I mean it equals killing late game souls boss fists only naked if you didnât grind for equipment
I just Elden Ring Tree-Sentinel style battled my way through my first Lynel and took that sucker out first try⌠well, first try after getting repeatedly one shotted a week ago and giving up.
I actually used the only ancient blade I had to finish off the last one because I had virtually broken all my weapons by that point, definitely worth it. I just wish it was possible to upgrade the item.
f well now you have lynel bows and probabally have good gear to kill them all to farm them
cause the last ones armor shard is really good for hylian shield durability making it even more op if you decide to try to get the yellow durability + on it or get the max shield block thing just to give it that sweet 99/100 number lol
For many items besides some cosmetic paraglider things. Thereâs a chance to get all other amiibo items in game through trials I believe. But some cards work for me for the ones I donât want to open or donât have duplicate amiibos for đ
Make it five in a floating colosseum in the dephts
Or better yet, a king gleeok with the three other gleeok of each different types in a row in the depths
Lynels are super fun to fight when you take the time to learn to parry them and properly punish them. You lose almost no resources aside from some arrows. Parrying doesnât wear out your shield and mounting them doesnât affect your weaponâs durability, so you could even slap on your heaviest hitting weapon during the mounted phase and watch their health melt away at no cost.
If you learn the Lynel dance they are really not so bad. I have absolutely beaten a single one without losing a heart. Hold shield and jump out of his way often.
I dealt with them easily in BOTW on Wii U years ago, but I could not headshot them for the life of me until they are right in front of me standing on their back legs. At that point I have one second to shoot.
Fighting Gleeoks another redditor told me to use eyeballs and a multishot bow. That works for lynels too, but feels cheap. I like fighting Lynels but at one point I fought four in a row and without fairies I would have died in one hit every time I took damage. It was excessive.
For the 4 in a row you can save after beating each one. Just make sure you pick up the drops BEFORE saving, if you save before you pick up the stuff and reload they are lost
I donât even headshot him that often, I just make good use of the shield jump and every once in a while after he attacks you can get him while heâs in lag or whatever. Be patient and really practice the shield stuff imo. I have never beaten a gleeok but my wife has
Lol
Woke up early the other day to see a Reddit post about duping being patched. Frantically texted my sibling telling them to not update the game.
Sadly she updated it the night before đ
I wouldâve spent all of yesterday duping diamonds and zonaites. :â)
There's two working dupe glitches right now. The easy one is to use recall on your weapon just a split second before an rock octorok sucks it up and repairs it. The other is more complex. In either case you still need to use break apart shop in tarrey town to dupe items which is much less efficient than just farming.

I was trying to be a little vague becasue its late game so if your taking your time i dont want to spoil it however if you do want to know... >!The 5th sage is this power ranger type mech where you can ride it and attach different weapons and items or just punch without anything. Its in the 6th dungeon after hyrule castle and like the normal glitch it can dupe items(as long as you have the none updated version). All you do is get on the mech and pick 5 item you want to dupe or go up to a wall and pick 10 zonai item. The thing about the mech is it makes it easier to dupe insects and probably lizards though i haven't tried. When you get the items you want you press y+b at the exact same time. If done right you will have some items on the floor and nothing missing from your inventory so you can just pick them up and repeat. For zonai equipment when you go up to a wall it will say you cannot take it out now and will put it back in your inventory giving you the dupe one and the none dupe ones. If you dont do it agains a wall it will just take it out but without using it from your inventory.!<
I haven't even gotten past my 3rd shrine LOL. I don't play much at all. I've only unlocked two of the map sections/platforms(?)
I've had my switch on airplane mode and auto-updates off, so it shouldn't be patched for me. I'll just youtube search how to do it. Thank you for the reply!
You're saying I'm being condescending while you don't even know how I got the game lol. And it's funny cause I thought you didn't understand what I was saying cause you kept babbling on about how you got the game as if it was relevant to what I saying or if anyone actually cared you got physical.
Fml, I bought a new switch recently and forgot to turn that setting off after transferring my data. My heart sank when I saw the updates installed notification pop up
... How recently did you buy it? Return it for a new one and turn off auto updates LOL. Yea, I'm that petty.
Most places here allow 30 days for returns/exchanges.
Sounds like that might not be an option for ya though... Sorry to hear.
It seems to work with anything that floats did with flower bombs, but did too many at a time and it exploded. I gotta progress in the game to get the auto build so I donât have to rebuild it. Hardest part is keeping it steady so you donât climb on the wall, but after you get the hang of it itâs just repetitive button smashing. If you do flower bombs be careful not to go over 15 i believe. I was just trying to keep a steady flow of 5, but took a few and made too many causing an explosion. Well for those that didnât update and likes to stock pile hope this helps on getting a lot in short amount of time. I believe I got it to x999 in 1.5 hours or maybe less depending on how fast you and steady you can be to do it.
With flower bombs I just jump into water.
The tunnel under lookout landing has a cave system that leads to a land bridge with water on both sides. I use a wooden crate thatâs kind of near to gain more elevation as well as wing glider fused to a shield. I do 15 at a time max, anymore and you risk blowing yourself up.
I mean, Iâd rather play the story out to get many items, even in my non-updated 1.1.1 version where I can I can dupe almost anything. Like I can easily dupe Lynel parts, but thatâs not the same satisfaction as killing a Lynel. But the new glitch is there if you are in a pinch.
Someone asked how I did it. Itâs all in the video. First make some kind of wind tunnel. Go in there and glide. While gliding go into the menu select the fairy. Hold max of 5 then press Y and B at the same time. Then start smashing the A button. Then go back to menu rinse and repeat. Can probably work for other items that can be blown by the fan upward. When low on power for fan use large zonai charge to replenish and when stamina is low for glide replenish with meal(didnât show in the video.)
Bro I miss this already I need aerocudda wings and idk where I can get them easily. I originally was like âOh! Iâll just dupe them!â NOPE NOT ANYMORE SAID NINTENDO
By killing aerocudas. I remember first encountering them while exploring around the Temple of Time ruins (the Great Plateau one, not the sky one). They're also found in sky areas, but issue is gravity carries away the drops. Lastly, you can also find them at enemy encampments both on the surface and in the depths, often carrying bokoblins.
1. You either needed to be riding the Glider or Mineru to cancel literally holding the items
2. Open inventory, hold 5 of the item you wanna dupe (or as many as you have)
3. Exit the menu and sort it at the exact same time (that is, press y and b simultaneously)
4. Profit. The game would treat it as though you never removed those items from your inventory, while also dropping 5 of them at your feet.
5. Rinse and repeat
Most lizards can be bought from Beedle at various locations. You could just dupe something worth rupees and then reset him a few times by sleeping to get what you need.
If you use Mineru its even easier. You just get on its back and do the drop part without any movement. You just stand there and do it because you being on its back is basically the same thing to the game as you being in your glider, its like being suspended in a glider just dropping and grabbing, dropping and grabbing...
Yâall are on a different level than I am, I came here to brag about riding on the back of Farosh through the depths and through his/her whole route in the sky back to the depths. To be fair I got bored but wanted to see how long I could ride. And yâall are talking about 999 fairies and actually being able to beat a lynel.. hell I can barley beat the weak ones on BOTW and them bastards are even stronger on totk
After the struggle for star shards in BOTW, I made sure to dupe about thirty before my game updates.
The Amiibo tunics don't have the best end game stats, so I don't feel too bad making it easier to get them boosted up a bit.
Having fairies in general makes it easy. Even if not duping. Still a challenge not to get hit to death continuously. Itâs just annoying seeing continue or quit. Still get my practice to be better without having to worry on reloading to continue.
It being a single player game is one of the many reasons why. Them duping items is something that will make it more enjoyable for them, and it doesnât ruin the experience of others
Not really made time to have better fun making and exploring without having to worry about needing an item for me to do something fun instead âskip to the good partâ
> it simply ruins the pleasure of any reward in the game.
There is no pleasure to collecting materials in TotK to begin with, because the rewards are often not worth all the collecting they entail.
On games like TotK (as with BotW) the 'reward in the game' often lies on exploring and having fun with gameplay. This isn't necessarily a pro or a con by the way - I love exploration games and the exploring part is right up my alley, and I won't scoff at a game with fun gameplay either.
But here's what their cons are: 1) both games have a weak storyline (moreso on BotW) let's be honest, and 2) the material rewards themselves (like upgrades to skills and weapons / armor / equipment) is often very lackluster. For instance how many times on BotW, mid-game to late-game, were you rewarded with a Great Flameblade only to realize you would have to throw it away since you *already had like 5 brand new Great Flameblades* in your inventory? How many times you do a cool or lengthy quest only to be rewarded with a silly 100 rupees or some random food or elixir? How many times you had to go farming some material just to upgrade your armor set so you could get like +8 armor? Do 4 more shrines just for another heart when you already have 14 hearts? Do 35 more koroks just for a single inventory space?
**Here's the kicker** ... Those aren't really rewards, are they? The BIGGEST actual rewards in the game are given to the player right in the first initial act: the 4 main abilities (ultrahand etc) and the hand glider. These are the single biggest upgrades / rewards in the entire game, and you get them almost right away. Getting fairies that save you from death isn't a reward - it's a chore. Collecting a fuckton of materials is fun *only because / when the journey is fun* but the collecting itself is a chore.
To cut to the chase, here's the point: on TotK, just as in BotW, grinding goes largely unrewarded - not because there isn't a reward, but because the reward is either pointless, weak, or superfluous. People will often want to skip the grind as much as they can to get to the fun *actually rewarding* part: exploring and gameplay.
I don't specifically duped things that will make the game less fun. I duped diamonds, dragon and lynel parts mostly just because they're rare and harder to get (Lynel isnt hard to get but I don't want to fight one everytime đ ). The rest I get from exploration and buying since I'm now rich af.
I never understood why people would want to dupe anything at all.
Would the game be better if they gave you the ability to fly everywhere and through walls and one shot everything without ever taking damage?
For some people, that would make the game better.
For some people, being able to not spend lots of time grinding rare items to get Max leveled armor would improve the enjoyment of the game / hour spent. Think âpeople who are not in a position to spend several hours / day playingâ
The game's economy is painful to begin with and it's a singleplayer game; let people play how they want instead of demanding they grind for hours to meet your desired gameplay
Lol you donât have to grind for hours and earning parts of games is literally the point, so no Iâll continue to shit on people who need exploits to get easily obtainable items in a kids game
I love exploring, and finding stuff. I've gotten to the boss in the wind temple, and am close to the fire temple. And every single thing I run into can kill me in three hits or less. So I duped large zonaite to max my batteries so I can hoverbike around.
I use a lot of bomb arrows. But bombs are tedious to farm and expensive to buy. So I duped bombs.
I don't like farming rupees. So I duped diamonds.
I like exploring, and fighting monsters. I can do that more easily and enjoy it more without spending a week of my limited time to play farming supplies.
Rare stone guys drop multiple diamonds, the depths has massive amounts of bombs and energy at yiga camps. If you were really exploring youâd have no shortage of rupees and resources just from what you find. Only dupes dupe
I made something similar with less mats. Stone slab for base and 3 zonai carts for 3 walls like phone booth, 4th cart in a angled roof position that you have to crouch to get in. And fan on one of the walls. Save the schematic so you can make it anywhere without trying to find stone slab.
Everyone else is duping rupees, my man over here becoming the fairy king
I definitely duped about a hundred of them floaty boys too.
Lol immortal status đ
Tingle is that you
â¨â¨Kooloo-limpah!â¨â¨
Tingle said to not steal the magic words!
man were did you do this loool ive been using the patio roof of the hateno house with a fan to do this lol havnt tried with fairies yet tho cause i kno they tend to be finicky
I just used the building materials that are laying around that were ready to be used. I used the one close to hyrule center
Great fairies? Nah bro he's the Grand Fairy
OP is david bowie
All hail Oberon
Tingle stay mad
I duped like 200,000 rupees but I also duped like 50 fairies. Then I updated.
I duped diamonds, bomb flowers, a handful of fairies, star fragments, and an ancient weapon attachment that gives +50 I havenât updated yet.
That should last at least a few hours
Fight four lynels in a row in the depths and weâll see whatâs left.
Ive defeated those lynels in the floating arena with 10 fairies. And a homing tank with 12 lasers attached lol
"With the power of friendship, and this gun I found"
Proud to have been able to beat them at the low low price of all of my shields
I made a homing tank and the first lynel out of the box just did the roar attack to delete it.
Run then Auto build another one. Thats what i did.
I couldn't be arsed at that point, I just went fisticuffs the old fashioned way.
Whyâs so bad about Lynels? They arenât an issue at all if you apply a bit of dark souls strategy to them.
I got half way through DS2 before I decided I wanted to keep my hair. I could only die without recovering my xp so many times before my brain decided this was not a worthwhile endeavor. Hats off to the skilled and resilient players willing to practice their video games.

Oh I definitely did and their shield attachment is awesome. A lot of the savage bows had 5x the arrows which is wild.
Ha first time I ran it I did the same, as soon as that armoured lynel appeared I was like ânopeâ and straight up deleted the cunt
Did they fix my biggest gripe with botw? Amiibo only items?

Lynelâs arenât too bad. Just learn how to shield parry and you can beat them without using any.
*JUST*
Ancient blade has entered chat
Dude you die to those guys
Iâll fight them use all 999 not finish the last 2 get hit to have one heart left and then fight both of them perfectly
Make it five in a floating colosseum in the dephts Or better yet, a king gleeok with the three other gleeok of each different types in a row in the depths
I killed those lynels the old fasion way; with my broken bones and like 10 meals
Oh god there are lynels in the depths?? I uncovered probably 2/3 of that map and have only seen those giant Molduga-like things
Lynels are super fun to fight when you take the time to learn to parry them and properly punish them. You lose almost no resources aside from some arrows. lol i just used the 5th sage glitch and it dosent take any set up. you can dupe any type of bug with the 5th sage
Hmm.. tell us more of this "5th sage glitch" you speak of đ¤đ
You can just do the same thing while riding the 5th sage instead of flying
Was it patched?
Any glitch that involved the B+Y got patched. All the easy dupes are gone, there are still dupes tho
Iâm so relieved I clicked âstart softwareâ and wouldnât let it update⌠duped 500 zonaite and 300 large zonaite (also 400 big charges)
I think I did about the same to upgrade armors -- and then you also need like 300 amber and 300 flint. My thumb hurts.
Woke up early the other day to see a Reddit post about duping being patched. Frantically texted my sibling telling them to not update the game. Sadly she updated it the night before đ I wouldâve spent all of yesterday duping diamonds and zonaites. :â)

Yeah everyone is being vague because it's big spoiler territory, huge story beats for you to get through before you reach that part of the game!
Bruh... You're a genius. *laughs maniacally in v1.1.0*
Same. I've had my switch on no-auto-updates AND on airplane more since I got it lol.
Kinda sad the only way to play the same version of physical copies as digital is to have a modded switch.
I only buy physical carts.
Yeah, I meant for digital only users
I don't have a modded switch either.
Do you not understand what I'm saying??? Lol

It's 1.1.2 that got it patched
My guy built a hyperbolic time chamber to become immortal.

I was duping fairies but stopped at 69 because it just felt right lol
Nice
Nice
Nice
Mine updated by itself while I was playing I was heartbroken đ
Same here. A Dupe glitch still exists but itâs not really worth doing it
The fuck it aint
Basically takes about a minute for duping one single item, Iâd rather play the story at that point

go dupe some zonaite and get your batteries up pls my brother in hylia
Lol yea I know Iâm just prepping lol
[ŃдаНонО]
I havenât gotten there yet lol đ
[ŃдаНонО]
Well you kinda spoiled the fact that their is a 5th sage
Now dupe some zonite and get that battery bruh
Bro I miss this already I need aerocudda wings and idk where I can get them easily. I originally was like âOh! Iâll just dupe them!â NOPE NOT ANYMORE SAID NINTENDO
They sell them in Kakariko Village and there a ton of them at the monster forts around Faron Woods and Lurelin Village

After TOTK devs will make it utterly impossible to normally beat this game within a average lifetime. Unless we doupe lost years of life
Wind tunnel is smart
I tried doing a similar box (without the fan) for bugs but those bitches got out. Gonna need to try this now
I did mine with the shield glitch. I missed a lot of them, but got to 999 off just one
Whatâs your build to do that? Edit: I didnât realize you showed it off at the end lol
Ganondorf will fear you with this glitch.
OMG I WOULDN'T HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT DOING THIS.
lordie
How did that work, pre patch? I guess I'm not understanding how it's done
1. You either needed to be riding the Glider or Mineru to cancel literally holding the items 2. Open inventory, hold 5 of the item you wanna dupe (or as many as you have) 3. Exit the menu and sort it at the exact same time (that is, press y and b simultaneously) 4. Profit. The game would treat it as though you never removed those items from your inventory, while also dropping 5 of them at your feet. 5. Rinse and repeat
And now I'm wishing my switch wasn't synced to the internet.
âthe glider glitchâ? it looks useful for duping, how do i do it?
Way easier method through a spoiler: >!Get on top of the fifth sage mech and do the same glitch.!< also if you updated, this method doesnât work.
Amazing! Where did you find all the construction materials? I canât find a location with enough
Looks like the area in front of Hyrule castle, there's tons of stuff left out there
Does this work for lizards? I hate that they vanish as soon as they touch the ground.
Most lizards can be bought from Beedle at various locations. You could just dupe something worth rupees and then reset him a few times by sleeping to get what you need.
Def not updating
Just climb on >! Mineru !< You can instantly grab back any item you dropped it's the easiest way to dupe
Bro is living forever
I would still die against a blue moblin
Where is this wind tunnel? This should also work for all flying insects?
Awesome, now I can watch the gleeoks and lynels one shot me for hours.
Is this working as of 5/27/2023? My Switch updated automatically to 1.1.2 yesterday.
[nuked]
Holy shit lol this was make the game so unfun for me but good on you, genius idea
Lol I would feel disrespectful cheating or cloning on this game. Not even looking up where stuff is
After the struggle for star shards in BOTW, I made sure to dupe about thirty before my game updates. The Amiibo tunics don't have the best end game stats, so I don't feel too bad making it easier to get them boosted up a bit.
Its already been patched, but this is the fastest way to get a good thing patched
I agree that duping other items is fine but duping fairies just makes the game unfun.
That's patched.
The drop patch has been patched as far as Iâm aware
It has but still have hard copy and donât update their game
Mine still not updated
I don't have a problem with duping but doesn't duping fairies just make it too easy? If there's no risk of death us there still challenge?
Having fairies in general makes it easy. Even if not duping. Still a challenge not to get hit to death continuously. Itâs just annoying seeing continue or quit. Still get my practice to be better without having to worry on reloading to continue.
Just sad
Cool, why? its a single player game.
It being a single player game is one of the many reasons why. Them duping items is something that will make it more enjoyable for them, and it doesnât ruin the experience of others
Ruin the fun glitch
Not really made time to have better fun making and exploring without having to worry about needing an item for me to do something fun instead âskip to the good partâ
So what's the point of playing after that? It might be personal choice bur I'll never get it, it simply ruins the pleasure of any reward in the game.
The grind to upgrade those equips are tedious. I remember falling asleep hunting those star fragments in botw.
FYI Star fragments seem more common than in botw and you can actually catch them in the sky. They seem to purposely fall right next to you in the sky.
From my first 20ish hours, I wouldn't have believed you, but then I *saw* 2 within a couple hours. I probably just didn't see them at first.
> it simply ruins the pleasure of any reward in the game.
I play maybe three hours a week and this would ruin the game.
Yes.
Itâs more of letâs skip to the good part
Why not just play the fuckin game?
The game's economy is painful to begin with and it's a singleplayer game; let people play how they want instead of demanding they grind for hours to meet your desired gameplay
Lol you donât have to grind for hours and earning parts of games is literally the point, so no Iâll continue to shit on people who need exploits to get easily obtainable items in a kids game
Oh, you're one of those kinds of people.
We can play how we want
No you can't. Nintendo patched it lmao
I turned off auto updates so it still works fine for me, and you are also missing the point
Will this work with dragon parts?
Yes but you donât need a wind tunnel for that
I was dumb and updated the game. Cant dupe anymore
I made something similar with less mats. Stone slab for base and 3 zonai carts for 3 walls like phone booth, 4th cart in a angled roof position that you have to crouch to get in. And fan on one of the walls. Save the schematic so you can make it anywhere without trying to find stone slab.
Howâs you make the wind tunnel exactly?
Just gotta play with the materials. I did a 360 kinda in the video at the end
Where is the spot that you are in?
Hyrule center
Where is this easy af area so that i may do this as well
You just gotta create it thatâs why this game is awesome
Wow thanks for the tutorial.
pretty sure the glitch was patched? i did it yesterday now i canât seem to
That means you updated but Iâm still good havenât updated and not connecting to the internet plus I have hard copy of the game
