No aoe on 800%, I see the sea...

horusray

I've recently done it without any AOE on my second playthrough of 800% campaign mode. I can't share the tech tree, but here are some tips: 1. Aim for 2500 population. To achieve this, you need to explore the entire map and farm all the stone and the gold. 2. Sustain resources for producing 6 soldiers. 3. Build four rows of wood towers prior to final waves, and keep building during the wave. Occupy all wood towers with soldiers. Excess ones can spread out evenly at the frontline. 4. If the wood towers get destroyed, move the soldiers back or relocate them to the wood towers behind. Watch for health on the front wood towers 5. Further to 4, try to get all the soldiers to survive until they become veterans.

Yet nobody ever praised the stability and strength of that bridge. Godzilla can't break that engineering marvel.

Lukarreon

Or the discipline of the horde not to shove their companions over the bridge and the cliffs.

Firm_Schedule_1624

in zombie culture, shoving is considered a d*ck move.

NeedleworkerLess1595

The zombies are already rotting, 1/3 of their real weight left, and are carried by tiny flying insects that feed on the rotting flesh. After all, they are balloons ))))). Bet you never thought of that

Firm_Schedule_1624

Counter argument! Ehem. This is true for immobile corpses. But we can all see that majority of these guys are running and able to destroy structures. They're packing muscles to have the strength to do those actions. It is possible they have less weight than an average living adult but less weight equals less space taken equals more numbers to fit in an area equals no significant changes if we compare them to living vs dead capacity-wise.

NeedleworkerLess1595

I doubt they are packing muscle, but no doubt they are many like in the game title. One for the thought, how many 4 years kids are able to kill a mma fighter?

lets_just_be

A lot of the infected that come in the waves are freshly infected though

Defclaw46

I honestly never thought of that until you mentioned that. It is impressive how well that bridge is holding up.

Vigothedudepathian

This map is a test of your APM skills and build efficiency. Gotta PUMP out soldiers. And shocking towers are great.

-audacity_

you dont have shocking tower on that mission yet

TheLuckyOne1v9

You can get them by this wave. You just need to be strategic with your research from first mission

-audacity_

yeah, if you specifically go for this exact upgrade in the tech tree while ignoring everything else, but most people in they playthrough dont do that

TheLuckyOne1v9

You can also get more research, if you delay this mission and do others. That what I did when doing 800% run

Accomplished_Cheek58

Doing my first playthrough right now. After losing on this one the first time around I did some other missions to pick up shock towers before trying a second time.

Technikkal

It's easy but everyone makes the mistake of not buying any AOE balistas are cool but the can only hit 3 targets at a time

thequiteace

i didnt even have those....

gregtofu

I swear every single post I see from this sub in my feed is about getting rekt at Cape Storm lol

AHidden1

lol Ralph is in danger lol

VapeGodz

Ahh this map brings back memories playing it on the first time.

MaTyBoY_86

You'll be alright, just need a few extra rangers

Deaddog91

I read that in his voice in my head and horrible defense have U ever played

thequiteace

i underestimated the infected

Aventine92

You think ?

oliveoliverYT

One thing i wish is that this game had saving. So i can bud a massiveee base then fight the horde but continue it another time

Peturba

if only you had like a couple more snipers...

HarambetheCenturion

This is when you do all the side quest and still ain't high enough level for the boss

thequiteace

No bc i was so confident:')

Successful_Durian_84

ive never played the scenario because people said it's so stupid

Studstill

IDK it's a great level. Hardish to clear but then easy to maintain, basically a big peninsula with that up left as the only eventual full attack path. Fun stuff, probably the one I'm most looking forward to replaying at 800% so far.

specificalmond

I agree. It's a fantastic stage, by far the best designed level in the campaign. Everyone knows cape storm, for better or worse. There's just something about it that every other stage failed to capture.

JapokoakaDANGO

I think it's worth playing, at least once, at least for lore (newspapers)

Firm_Schedule_1624

Stupidly fun. This is the most iconic map in the game.

MaTyBoY_86

It's a superb map. First time you play it is one you'll never forget how under prepared you were!

Successful_Durian_84

I play the random maps on highest difficulty. Highest number of zombies and everything. I don't consider it a win unless I wall off the entire map on last wave.

MaTyBoY_86

Pretty tough on 900%! I think the best I've gotten is about a third of the map and all wonders. Got about 314k ish points on my last win. No idea how I'd get the entire map though, I've seen people do it but way too tough for me 😁

Successful_Durian_84

I can't do it with no pause. Pretty crazy some people play this with no pause.

Reddragonsky

It still can be challenging even knowing what happens on the map. Depending on difficulty, it makes it even more of a challenge because it is a race to clear the map, build out, AND build up the wall of defenses. Even if most of it is accomplished, if not done correctly, leads to failure. Kind of the theme of the game though; make little to no mistakes or you need to start over.
