It's insane how people liked the guy before the final arc. He was literally a prank channel who posted videos of him actually robbing stores, beating the shit out of people and then throwing the money on the ground while recording it.
>!Saved the entire school !!AfO liberated all the jails, only one jail had no escapees and it was because Gentle soloed all of the prisoners to prevent them from escaping!<.
I also get why people liked him before the final arc - unlike basically every villain prior, Gentle was a more light-hearted antagonist.
People have always loved gentleman thieves, even if theyāre objectively terrible people.
Gentle having a sympathetic backstory and a cute girlfriend just made it easier.

The trickster from dead by daylight (this is just a skin) he was a son of a dad that used his son as entertainment at his bar. When a talent agent for a k-pop group showed up, she recognized his talent. Eventually he would go mad by his fame and used the screams of his victims to use in his songs. So you can say heās killing people so more people can listen to his music
The main problem is that all these characters are just mean-spirited stereotypes. There's an energy of personal spite coming from people who typically write them. And being hateful isn't always a good state of mind to write stories or characters.
People like this, albeit far less exaggerated, do exist IRL though. So I don't see how it's any different from writing, say, supervillain terrorists who also do a highly exaggerated version of a real thing. Literally any non grounded villain falls here, actually
Leslie Wilkes, aka Livewire, could also fall into this category. Sheās a Superman villain with electrokinetic powers.

Despite having no Internet, this is EXACTLY what these guys are.
Logan Paul, as a WWE Wrestler, plays into this trope perfectly. I think he may have finally matured to the point heās now playing a (slightly) exaggerated version of himself as a character. And in storyline, his respect feud with Cody Rhodes was centered around Codyās respect for the WWE Championship vs Logan just wanting another accolade, so yeah.
Good pick for him.
Say what you will nobody can [shill knock-off Gatorade, whilst hitting a top-rope frog splash](https://youtu.be/3vxgICBuIA0?si=mnMJ6lNmaUGO2Ylm) quite like him
so iām assuming you think we shouldnāt bring kids to funerals either? btw in not saying it wasnāt wrong that he showed a dead body in his vlog, it was, i just disagree that itās some crazy irredeemable act, itās not even a crime
The body of a loved one which has been meticulously prepared for a funeral is completely different than the body of a stranger which has been decomposing for god knows how long. Pretending those are remotely equitable is a brain dead take.
He's a great fucking wrestler, maybe the best in-ring celeb ever, but he's still a knob. He had a slight turn to being respectable with his BLM remarks but hasn't stayed true to those ideas. Had trump on his show like, barely two weeks ago? He's half the celebrity he used to be and five times as desperate, WWE and Prime is like all he has left besides a podcast
I can't believe Logan Paul filmed a dead body and he is still allowed on YouTube. when small creators get channels deleted over saying bad words regardless of context

What did he do in the final arc?
Actually save someone instead of being a prank channel.
And why do people dislike him now?.. Is that bad?
They don't dislike him. I'm saying it's weird that people liked him before that. He is likable now though.

Had an itch to scratch, realized the error of his ways, and strived to be better. He also wasnāt a total psycho villain which was refreshing.

No, not everyone has mixed opinions on the sequel lol. I don't, and plenty of other people don't either
I think that this is a great case of "Hated Tropes"
The only fictional example of this I can think of are the two characters I included, and I think they're both very fun antagonists. So hard disagree
The main problem is that all these characters are just mean-spirited stereotypes. There's an energy of personal spite coming from people who typically write them. And being hateful isn't always a good state of mind to write stories or characters.
