Yeah the 7F is a absolute beast. It was already good before the multipath changes. It's borderline oppressive now lol. And yet there are still people who call it shit because they don't know how to use it.
you have to be atleast 60 meters off the ground for multipathing to work. Basically flying low isnt a guarantee to not get slapped by radar guided missiles anymore
Edit: Multipathing got nerfed massively, thereby its a buff to radar guided ammunition.
Funny enough that you are exactly the opposite. You do not know that the 7F/M can be easily beaten (without notching or energy bleeding), even flying towards the enemy
>Checks profile
>F-14 player
Every single time lmfao. Whats with F-14 players and being the biggest crybabies in the community?
Anyways Im in the F-4J and have zero issues with them, sounds like a skill issue on your part ngl
Uh? F-14 player? In the same vein, I'm an F-16, F-15, F-4E, MiG-19PT, MiG-29, and Su-27 pilot. What are you talking about? I even have more battles in the MiG-21SMT than in the F-14...
Okay, it was probably a blind attempt to nullify my words due to your incompetence, I understand. But dude, if you really found my profile, send me a friend invite, pick a Phantom or whatever you want with 7F/M, and I'll show you that you are wrong by definition.
Deal? But please, after the testing, if I show you your lack of skill, note about it in your post.
Now it is up to you
>Uh? F-14 player?
Its literally your second most played jet and the jet you have the most kills with so I dont understand why you are confused with that statement.
>Okay, it was probably a blind attempt to nullify my words due to your incompetence
No, youre just feeding the stereotype lmao. Also who are you calling incompetent? Im not the one blaiming my lack of skill on a missile. Are the R-24s better than the Sparrows? Yes. Does that mean theyre bad missilse? No.
>Deal? But please, after the testing, if I show you your lack of skill, note about it in your post.
You played this game way more than I have and yet think a duel is fair? I wont feed your ego lol. I dont even understand how a 1vs1 would be proof that a missile is bad, even a novice like me does fine in it. According to your description I shouldnt be, no?
Anyways have fun crying about the Sparrows on Reddit (and maybe even the forums) every single time someone mentions it :D
Dude, can you point where I said that the 7F/M is bad? I clearly never said that. I said that it can be dodged even when flying toward the enemy. I just wanted to show you that against the somewhat skilled opponent, it will never connect and negate statements about "beast" Sparrow.
Could you please stop attributing to me things I never said? That's not even funny.
Upd: No, it is funny. In the same comment, you said that I am blaming the missile for my lack of skill, and later, you said that you would not test it with me because I have more experience. Please, at least decide if I am too bad or too good?
Upd2: Okay. After reading your comment again, I understand that I probably even overestimated your understanding of the theme. You genuinely do not know anything about missile testing (so the incompetence thesis was true and fair). I proposed the next: We will go to a custom battle, you should pick the Phantom or whatever you want and launch an AIM-7F/M at me, and I will show you that you could not hit me under any circumstances. That's all. It is not a duel, just a showcase.
I guess i misjudged the situation then. I thought you were one of those players who call the sparrows useless and complain on this sub. I apoligize for that then. Im up for some testing, but i want it to be against other 11.3 jets if that would thats ok with you. Mig-23MLD would be preferred but you can choose something else if you dont think that would be fair. Sent you a friend request on discord and WT.
Again, sorry :(
Yep. Not much more in the game that's a better feeling than denying a nuke. Especially if your team is winning and you prevent them clutching the match.
Yeah we were loosing for the majority of the game but then my team got its shit together and managed to win.
I love it when your team tries to win, 1 death leaving is just no fun.
Edit: If was also pretty funny to see my team thank me for shooting him down, even though I didn't know at the time that they had a nuke
Yeah I don't get why they give nuke planes countermeasures, but to be honest I'm not sure if chaff would have made a big diffrence.
The way I see it, he was doomed either way.
Speaking of nuke jets, couldn't the F-16 also carry nukes? I wish the US got that instead of the Jaguar as a nuke plane.
Yeah that actually makes more sense. I was about to ask why Russia shouldnt get "the Bear" but then i remember its a prop. I dont even think that things in the game
I forgot the name of the keybind, but stock keybind should be "U".
It doesn't just follow air to air missiles, it also follows bombs, rockets and other projectiles.
You can do this with any aircraft (with ordinance) and Bleu navy ships (their large caliber guns).
Yeah I hate how protected helis are against missiles. For example, I can't lock most helis that are farther than 2.6 km away with stingers. To me this is ridiculous.
I did get a 10km sparrow kill against a Ka-50 shortly after this clip tho, surprised it even hit.
Basically I fly low and hug the ground if I'm in a full uptier against Russia. I don't know how you're auppoused to climb with a jet with a active pantsir.
Maybe dive down the moment you get a airspace, fly left or right for a while and then start climbing? Might work but I never tried to do that before
Most missiles leave a smoke trail. Look towards the general area of the enemies spawn. That way you can tell if you are being shot at. Some SAMs like the ADATS however doesn't leave any smoke behind so keep that in mind
I have to agree. I tried test flying lots of premium jets, and even going to a friend’s house to try flying all his planes he has unlocked, and it’s just not my cup of tea. Not saying I hate planes, but I just don’t like them.
I started playing planes a bit seriously after 7 years with tanks only. I consider myself pretty meh compared to how I perform in tanks but I learn. TBH, jets are more interesting than props in air RB. Once you have learned the basics, props become quite humdrum. Jets add pace and, at high tier, a bit of welcomed complexity.
Yeah I agree. My main issue with props are how long the matches take. You climb for 5 minutes straight and only then start seeing enemies. To me, this is very boring. There are some really undertiered vehicles too of course. But the other aspect of prop gameplay are fun imo.
Poor little guy didnt even stand a chance lol
Especially after the update, when aim-7s can lock you on the runway.
Yeah the 7F is a absolute beast. It was already good before the multipath changes. It's borderline oppressive now lol. And yet there are still people who call it shit because they don't know how to use it.
Multipath changes? What changed
big nerf
From OP phrasing that sounds like a buff not nerf. What changed?

Oh ok nerf to multipath. Considering that fox3s shouldnt have it entirely i blame it on maps

Thank you for finding time to fly with me. I want to believe that it was a useful showcase. Sorry if I was too blunt in some sentences. You are cool.
The heartbreak and pain that guy must have felt
The happiness and joy I felt balances it out

His misery is your strength.
I'm a evilmaxxed gremlincel
I would clap but those things don't even have countermeasures so ehh...
Basically how feel. Nothing really to write home about as they can’t rarely even fight back in the first place.
Basically, curb stomping a baby at the maternity ward.

US should get the F-111 and the Russian’s the Mig- 21 SMT as their nuke aircraft.
Yeah that actually makes more sense. I was about to ask why Russia shouldnt get "the Bear" but then i remember its a prop. I dont even think that things in the game
Yes, [F-16 in real life can carry the B61 nuclear bomb (aka Shiny Bomb).](https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48628400936_a5a1a0a4ac_b.jpg)
Really putting the "look down/shoot down" in look down shoot down radar aren't you?
:3
The nuke pilot: (ಠ益ಠ)
"Just notch bro :D"
stupid question. How do you follow the missile?
I forgot the name of the keybind, but stock keybind should be "U". It doesn't just follow air to air missiles, it also follows bombs, rockets and other projectiles. You can do this with any aircraft (with ordinance) and Bleu navy ships (their large caliber guns).
Thx
You spawn your nuke, you take your chances.
Camping at 10k with a F4 is just pure gayness.
Don't want to get skullfucked? Don't spawn CAS then <3
How are jets even fun?
Slapping CAS out of the sky from 20km away is very fun
Shame we cant do the same against helicopters
They never expect the 10km maverick yeets tho
Yeah I hate how protected helis are against missiles. For example, I can't lock most helis that are farther than 2.6 km away with stingers. To me this is ridiculous. I did get a 10km sparrow kill against a Ka-50 shortly after this clip tho, surprised it even hit.
Wonder if ARHs do better against them since we can guide them in via data link for quite a while and almost all of them have IOG.
I asked around in the sub once. It can work but it's not very reliable from what I heard.
how do you avoid the pantsirs?
Basically I fly low and hug the ground if I'm in a full uptier against Russia. I don't know how you're auppoused to climb with a jet with a active pantsir. Maybe dive down the moment you get a airspace, fly left or right for a while and then start climbing? Might work but I never tried to do that before
I see. Next time i'll try doing CAP. Seems like fun in top tier
Most missiles leave a smoke trail. Look towards the general area of the enemies spawn. That way you can tell if you are being shot at. Some SAMs like the ADATS however doesn't leave any smoke behind so keep that in mind
thanks for the tip man
No problem. If you know anyone who plays top tier CAS, ask them. They probably know better how to deal with SPAA
After the stock grind flying highly capable machines is fun
I love the fast paced gameplay that jets bring.
Nyoom
I have to agree. I tried test flying lots of premium jets, and even going to a friend’s house to try flying all his planes he has unlocked, and it’s just not my cup of tea. Not saying I hate planes, but I just don’t like them.
