Like, Edison format-ish GB/GK decks? Or modern? Edison Blackwings or Lightsworn (or just, other Edison format decks in general) might be a good place to look for the former, the latter it's kind of impossible to say without knowing what exactly is being played
I still run hero and cyber they're always fun to play with the structure deck for cyber us pretty neat realistically you gotta get 3 but you get really good cards outta it and the combos hella easy to learn
Gravekeepers and Gladiator Beasts are pretty great, I'm a big fan of those archetypes myself. For something with a similar feel to those two, personally I'd be reaching for my Cyber Dragons. Another GX era deck that has some new tricks if your friends' decks are more modern variants, but is perfectly acceptable to use if not. Plus, blind FTKs are fun when they work, and the deck isn't completely screwed at this power level if they don't.
Cyber dragons feels so nostalgic even if I never actually played it, when I was little my grandpa gifted me the deck before he died, but I ended up trading most of the cards
And I like decks that summon big monsters to do big damage
A little bit newer than GB or GK, but I love the heck out of my Domain True Dracos. I can still steal a game every now and then with Dracos with Domain and Monarchs Erupt.
I have tried to cook with Magical Musketeer Runick recently and it's actually slaps, who would have thought an engine that allows quick effect spells to be played from hand and constantly renew card advantage can be used for something other than degen floodgates.
are those GX era gravekeeper and gladbeast or their latest version with their latest support
cyber dragons with power bond
Otk is definitely if you power bond a rampage.
Mix that with Duality, chef's kiss...
Nekroz
The answer is always Nekroz. +1 from me!
I think all GX era decks are fun! Cyber Angels, Heroes, Cyber Dragon, just in addition to what others have said here.

Kozmo, it might be a bit too strong for Glad Beasts but I’d imagine GK with Necrovalley set up can hang
Correct answer, if you know kozmo you can you can play around necrovalley. They are both my favorite decks
Skull Servant (aka Wright) is always fun.
I still run hero and cyber they're always fun to play with the structure deck for cyber us pretty neat realistically you gotta get 3 but you get really good cards outta it and the combos hella easy to learn
I like to play Super Quants
I’d totally reach for cyber dragons if it was me
Volcanic control is a arealy unique but a bit dated strat
Volcanic runick is kinda good actually
My buddy and I made decks based around dice rolls and coin flips. That was fun as hell.
Dark World is fun GX era deck. Definitely more meta relevant than either, but Necrovalley can screw the deck making it more fair, to a degree.
I still screw around with Kozmos-Metalfoes. They’re well past their prime, but doing stuff with Psychics and self-destruction is still fun
Bird up, Virtual World, Salamangreat, Were Marincess ever meta?
Marincess was meta and is still good
I played Megalith for a while. It’s terrible but can wipe the board on your opponents’ turn which is hilarious.
Invoked Dogmatika Shaddoll. I miss you my love.
Six samurai is so fun

I eff around bronze with red eyes and cyber dragon A to Z is fun too, but very odd
Took cyber dragons to low diamond last season wasn't too hard actualy
The rank 6 is so fun to just *yoink* problem cards with
My favourite play is clockwork night normal core and fuse opponents full board into one chimeratech
A little bit newer than GB or GK, but I love the heck out of my Domain True Dracos. I can still steal a game every now and then with Dracos with Domain and Monarchs Erupt.
Metaphys is one of my favorite old decks to revisit.
Mermail atlantean

Zombie world
Melffy was never meta but it is really fun and around their power level. (Unless you play zeus because they will die when you drop that card)
Virtual world🤷♂️
Floodgates fun for you not fun for them
Gravekeepers and Glad Beasts are so much some of my favorite decks
Modern Dark Worlds is fun for an old archetype.
