I saw it twice in theaters because some family invited me after I had already seen it. It’s fine. A totally watchable and completely forgettable adventure movie. The deepfake/cg face stuff is meh. They smartly make it dark but the eyes still are doll-like and the head still floats weirdly. The tech wasn’t there when they started using it like ten years ago and it still isn’t.
Will never forget my first viewing. The first 25 minutes works for me, the voice was a bit rough but the whole sequence is supposed to be dreamlike. Nostalgia is a trap. Voller is one of the best villains in the series, his back and forth with Indy is solid. Not to even mention the Antikythera guiding the plane into the fissure. Very imaginative. After a rewatch this thing holds up.
