100% eridium piles visibility ie you can now see the invisible eridium piles, but you could have always broke them without seeing them, the other percent is on enemy defeat, chance to create a shower of eridium from defeated enemies, pretty useless over all but can turn some farms into eridium farms too, but why would you use this over shlooter

Emixii

It gives 100% of ??? Also you get 5% of ???

HarryBaggins00

The special effect of the Mysterious Artifact is that it doubles the amount of Eridium you get when picking those up. The artifact also has a 5% chance to reveal Eridium rocks that are hidden throughout the maps.

MonT_That_Duck

Unfortunately that effect would make the thing useful. The mysterious artifact does NOT double eridium. Lootlemon: Mysterious Artifact - unique Ability Uncovers 100% of invisible Eridium Shards. When killing a Badass Enemy there is a 5% Chance for them to explode into 12 Eridium. Note: Invisible Eridium Shards can still be destroyed without the Mysterious Artifact.

Alarming_Serve2303

Ah, so that is what that does. Ever since I got that I've noticed a lot more Eridium around. That explains why, they were invisible before.

MonT_That_Duck

Yeah the fucked up part is that they never added new eridium rock spots after launch so they literally just took the existing spots and made some invisible

speedyBoi96240

Currently doing the amach farm in dlc 2 and there is 3 eridium piles that I grab before the kill 2 of which are there most of the time due to being invisible spawns, the only problem is I have to run up to the spot and see the melee indicator first

M1dj37

Is that why it seems less flooded with them now? That’s neat. Disappointing, but neat.

Significant-Minute28

What's even worse is they're still there and destructible just not visible.

WishvilleMik

There's a challenge about collecting 50 (?) eridium with it equipped. Fast farm is the dead claptrap in Ambermire. There's a fast station nearby; drop down the cave and there's 8-10 piles visible each time that are not otherwise seen,

D34thst41ker

From what I understand, the "invisible" crystals that you find with this were originally in the game, but they removed the visuals when this artifact was released. However, if you know where they were, you can still destroy them.

Odd_Ad5668

You've already got answers, so this isn't a "look it up" response, just trying to help for the future. You can find detailed info on every item on www.lootlemon.com

Phratros

[Looks like it's pretty useless.](https://www.lootlemon.com/bonus-item/mysterious-artifact-bl3)

Was hoping this was a Rick roll. You’ll never guess what it actually is!

Prizmatik01

Just use google man cmon

TheOriginalGidMan

So, here's the thing: the smashable Eridium crystals you find around the game all have dedicated locations, but aren't always visible. **They LOOK like they're randomly spawned, but they're all actually still THERE.** This object makes them all visible. *(They fade into view when you get nearer to them.)* **But, you don't need the artifact at all.** If you know where Eridium crystals are, whether you can see them or not, you can walk up to them and you'll get a "melee" prompt to smash them. *(Honestly, you can use the artifact to learn where the crystals are located, but after that, you don't really need it.)* **This artifact does not seem to give you more Eridium per smash,** *(or if it does, it's maybe one brick extra,)* but I have heard that using a Commander Planetoid artifact when smashing them will. I don't know if that's true, but when I use one, it seems to be. I keep one on hand for each of my characters, just for this purpose, and switch to it when farming. So, once I learned that the crystals are ALWAYS there, visible or not, I stopped using this artifact at all. I just go to places where I know the Eridium to be, and smash the invisible piles. **The two places I go to farm the most frequently and easily are:** **Eden 6**, in the pit with the broken Claptrap in Voracious Canopy. Go to the New-U near the vending machine by that shaft, set yourself to mayhem 10 or 11, and just toggle back and forth between them to keep respawning by the pit without having to quit and restart the game. Drop in, and harvest the crystals over and over. Lather, rinse, repeat. **Ascension Bluff**, by the New-U in the COV Camp outside Mouthpiece's place. There are two piles that sometimes have multiple overlapping piles in one spot, meaning you can smash the same pile four or five times. *(The exception to the "the crystals are always there" rule I mentioned before, but I think it's a glitch, not a random spawn thing.)* There's one by the upturned wrecked car just behind the New-U station, and one just inside the entrance to the camp near the New-U station. Go through the entryway you spawn by, and it's to the right, next to one of those cargo containers converted to be a room. If you clear out the COV in the camp, you can toggle between mayhem 10 and 11 to keep returning there, without new COV showing up for a while.

KeyDifferent3301

Having this on while finding 50 piles of iridium that are invisible will get you a trophy/achievement!!!
