Dog hair is ideal!! Just try to bunch it all together so they can bring the while wad and you can partially secure it by putting a rock on it to hold it down until she can grab it! If all you do is throw away her hair, you should think about throwing it out every time! Lots of critters need the insulation and it may even help keep predators away because of the smell.
If you have old tshirts/sweatshirts, or any other soft clothing you are thinking about tossing, you can cut up she'd probably take that since it would be easier for her.
I would go to a local hobby store and get discount materials, cut them into strips, and sat them out on the patio after removing the covers for a couple of weeks. 🤷♀️
I'm not sure what the rules with that are. I'm not one to like many chemicals for myself, so my crows wouldn't have to worry. I guess we could all offer the lone socks missed by the laundry gremlins. 🙃
I give mine my dryer lint, among that things. I don't use shampoo or scented detergent, I don't have any hair to get wrapped around little feet. My dog gets bathed with baby shampoo and his fur isn't long enough to get tangled in baby claws.
I offered them really fluffy pipe cleaners once. Not interested.
I think it’s a raven bc of how huge it is and how the tail is shaped. When it hops on the ledge you can see that it has a triangular shaped tail whereas crows have flatter tails
I made it a charcuterie board with some dog food, unsalted almonds, blueberries and plums 😊
Please continue to record video of your progress
☺️☺️
This is so kind.

That’s sweet! Can we collect some pampas grass or cattail fluff and put it out to try to encourage her to not take the patio furniture covers? 🥲
Worth a shot! That would be better nest material anyway. Dog or cat fur from a brushed out pet is also a good offering
My roommates do have a dog that sheds a lot. Do I need to worry about chemicals though? The dog does get flea medication and other stuff probably.
If he gets topical medicine, don't use it. Just to avoid possibly hurting them.

Dog hair is great. Leave it out!
If you go to a barber shop - ask them to take the hair sweepings out of the trash - my birds love 'em.

There is thicker covers that are strong enough to not be torn. That may be the easiest.
Put out raw wool if you can find it. That is wool before it is yarn. If you have un dyed wool yarn you can put it out in piles of 6 inch pieces.
Thank you! There are some knitting stores around I’ll ask if they have raw wool!
What things could I put out for my crows if they are planning to nest?

Could I give it old T shirt strips? Do we need to worry about laundry detergent chemicals?

Just wash them, dry them with no dryer sheets, and tear into pieces no more than 4 inches across. Plain cotton balls work well too.
Thanks!
Give it some alternative nesting materials stuffed inside a shoebox or sth with a hole in it. They'll use that instead
They are building a nest, so thank you for your donation.
Leave five dollars out there for them.

😂 my boyfriend said “we’re going to need a bigger owl”
What country do you live in? Looks beautiful
"Don't mind if I do"

I think he’s taking pieces to a nest or something
Might want to leave something shiny out with the nesting material to see if he brings you back a treasure.
That's her patio furniture now.
Oh my god that’s the cover! I though lil dude was holding a cheese slice 😭
Pretty sure that’s a crow and not a raven.

Get a bag of those dried corn husks that are used for tamales, and cut some of them into strips and squares.
Give better things. If you can afford: go to an arts store and buy fabric for it so it'll that that. It'll also become your friend
Your boyfriend seems loaded

Lint is extremely flammable. I would personally not recommend using lint.
Lint gets compressed when wet and doesn't return to its original shape, like fur or wool tends to do.
Agreed .
Just take the covers off. It’s a beautiful day. The weather is great. Lose the covers. They are ugly anyway.
Yeah I suggested that but the sun is really strong up there and weathers the teak quickly and he has to oil it every couple of months which is tedious
I was going to say give them an alternative, but they probably like that nice Sunbrella fabric
