It sounds like you were the backup but also would you really want to be in a situationship? Sounds like she had other plans in terms of short term fun etc
Don't mean to sound *too* cynical but that just sounds like she was filling some kinda void with your time, which is crappy in and of itself. Not entirely sure about the whole second option thing but either way her priorities are all mixed up.
Let her know that she ain’t all that and that she is also second option. Make her work for you if she refuses to commit then you just leave her as it is.
