Hmm.. slow vs fast stages. Argentina/Greece/Wales? can probably be combined. All three being relatively low top speed (all 3 have that one 'long enough' straight to annoy gearing tuning), similar bumps and track width, though ARG is narrowest at its worst. The question feels harder if you feel you have to find the sacrifice in the higher top speed stages. I would probably dual-tune Scotland/New Zealand, low amount of bumps and narrowest stretches are at similar speeds. And for my driving style, i could probably also dual tune USA and Finland, the bumps that exist are relatively similar in style, not like Poland/Australia where the bumps are also on a veeery narrow road usually. This is assuming just TimeTrial, adding degradation means almost everything is fully unique, and then i could only maybe combine Greece/Wales as Argentina is too narrow.

USA and Scotland Australia and non- Ocean Beach parts of NZ Greece and Argentina if you lower gears for Greece Finland and Poland to an extent Germany and Spain to a limited extent

\+1 to this.

Solid list

This is the most annoying thing for tunes in this game. Whyyyyy are there not enough saved tune slots for all the locations plus the differences in length/surface (I.e. 75/25 Asphalt/Ice) for stages

pizzacake15

I hope they put unlimited slots for tunes in their next game. Even WRC Generations have limited car setups and it's very annoying given that they have lots more stages than DR2.0.

I tune based on bumpiness because that tends to work best for me. So I wind up with 3 tunes for gravel; bumpy, smooth, and Finland. Bumpy is for Greece and Argentina, Finland gets its own, and then the rest use the smooth tuning. With some cars wales gives me trouble with this method and I wind up with something between smooth and Finland

Codemasters did a really good job making every stage completely unique, but the only stages i can think of that are similar enough to share a tune would be USA and New Zealand. Both relatively smooth stages with the occasional high speed section

Thanks for the advice! I think that makes pretty logical sense, I’ll give it a try and see how it works out for me.

MetalMike04

NZ, Smooth?!?

Oyadia

road surface wise, yeah

Thank you guys for all the suggestions and thought out responses, really appreciate it.

I tune for bumpiness for the most part. I think I’ve used Australia and Greece tunings on the other. New England seems similar to New Zealand I’d say.
