I fucking hate edgenuity. There's 15-25 tabs per instruction assignment. This shit has taken 2 hours and I have to do this every day for 7 classes. The essays are about the dumbest shit ever. There is a war and I'm expected to write about Bob Dylan. The people in the videos have the most annoying voices known to man. It's old as shit. Introduction to Human Growth and Development has assignments that are a decade old at the youngest. French has assignments pulled straight out of 2003. It goes down 4 times a week and take 3 hours to fix at the least. The teachers are the most passive aggressive, stupid, hateful people. I finished Physics 3 weeks ago and he emails me every week about this week's lesson plan as if I'm not done. Then emails me today about why I haven't been signing in. Bc I'm done, you fucking tard. Expected to be able to buy and cook specific expensive foods for French, in this economy? Come tf on. My school forgot to turn my semester classes to actual semester classes, expecting me to finish them in a quarter. Then, when I did most of them bc I didn't realize they made a mistake, they tell me to go ahead and finish anyway. I pulled 3 all nighters and cried about my grades to get close to finishing and they expect me to essentially fix their mistake by them not fixing it at all. My school forgot to take me off of all my irl classes so teachers emailed me thinking I was skipping. The videos are so low quality, -144p and they just scribble some lines on whatevers on screen while they stand in the mf backrooms. I know this thread is two years old, but I'm here to add to the slander. I have never wanted to punch someone I've never met just for being themselves before I did this program. I transferred schools and had to wait for them to accept my transcripts for OVER a year, and they made me do a full set of courses, some in which I've already taken, and refused to let me take them as recovery credits. Some of them they did, like my music class, but like my biology, English, etc. Nope. Sitting and watching the videos for two minutes in an over explained way, in the most monotonous tone, is equivalent to nails on a chalkboard, to me at least. I feel like gouging my eyes and ears out just to not have to do these. I once loved English, but now I absolutely despise it, just because of this program. What's ironically funny, is they describe themselves as a "fun and highly interactive" school based learning program. Fun and interactive my ass.
How am I supposed to finish classes when the assignments bug out half the time and don't let me progress. This is why students have depression and mental health issues! We're forced to do meaningless crap that doesn't teach us squat and are punished when we fail due to their crappy system. And my school actually managed to convince me that it was going to be a good thing switching from Edmentum to Edgenuity. No, no it was not.
Don’t know if you’ll ever see this op, but your not too far off. Edgenuity has to be the absolute worst attempt at any learning platform ever. But everyone, and I do mean everyone, from teachers to parents to older siblings who graduated pre-2020 always say that we have an axe to grind and are just lazy, but it goes far beyond that.
Most of all students and most teachers are in universal agreement that Edginuity is the worst learning platform ever. If you don’t believe me, by all means, look it up. I feel as if Edgenuity was made on a budget and continues to be made in a budget as more and more teachers proliferate either make up work or just new classes all together. It feels so purposefully made to be a cheap and easy way for students to learn, and in all my experiences, Edgenuity is introduced to new schools so quickly that the teachers who oversee all work don’t even know how terrible and cheaply made it is. This point is further proved by how bare the user interface is. It’s not inspiring, it feels like some generic learning platform that a team of 3 guys made to make a quick buck. It’s also funny the way this is considering that every other part of the website is advanced, improved, and colorful, but no one ever wants to update the U.I. for students.

Edgenuity is uninspired and generic, that’s why students hate it, not because of some students with an axe to grind

Edgenuity Assignments are extremely outdated, I can hardly understand what the teachers are saying, I keep failing the quizzes because they have the wrong answer listed as the right answer(and vice-versa). Today I failed a pre-quiz on my own religion because of right answers being listed as wrong, Im pretty sure I know my religion better than a website.
I HATE EDGENUITY. So... I am in this small group class with like nine kids and one teacher who does all the core classes via Edgenuity. The system is so fucked because the program is designed in a way where they think that you have a separate teacher for each subject, and that is not the case. My teacher gets so stressed out trying to monitor us, do Edgenuity shit, and we flew under the radar not doing our assignments, and our parents blame us for not doing the work instead of this fucked up shitty program.

I HATE IT
I know this thread is two years old, but I'm here to add to the slander. I have never wanted to punch someone I've never met just for being themselves before I did this program. I transferred schools and had to wait for them to accept my transcripts for OVER a year, and they made me do a full set of courses, some in which I've already taken, and refused to let me take them as recovery credits. Some of them they did, like my music class, but like my biology, English, etc. Nope. Sitting and watching the videos for two minutes in an over explained way, in the most monotonous tone, is equivalent to nails on a chalkboard, to me at least. I feel like gouging my eyes and ears out just to not have to do these. I once loved English, but now I absolutely despise it, just because of this program. What's ironically funny, is they describe themselves as a "fun and highly interactive" school based learning program. Fun and interactive my ass.
How am I supposed to finish classes when the assignments bug out half the time and don't let me progress. This is why students have depression and mental health issues! We're forced to do meaningless crap that doesn't teach us squat and are punished when we fail due to their crappy system. And my school actually managed to convince me that it was going to be a good thing switching from Edmentum to Edgenuity. No, no it was not.

Don’t know if you’ll ever see this op, but your not too far off. Edgenuity has to be the absolute worst attempt at any learning platform ever. But everyone, and I do mean everyone, from teachers to parents to older siblings who graduated pre-2020 always say that we have an axe to grind and are just lazy, but it goes far beyond that. Most of all students and most teachers are in universal agreement that Edginuity is the worst learning platform ever. If you don’t believe me, by all means, look it up. I feel as if Edgenuity was made on a budget and continues to be made in a budget as more and more teachers proliferate either make up work or just new classes all together. It feels so purposefully made to be a cheap and easy way for students to learn, and in all my experiences, Edgenuity is introduced to new schools so quickly that the teachers who oversee all work don’t even know how terrible and cheaply made it is. This point is further proved by how bare the user interface is. It’s not inspiring, it feels like some generic learning platform that a team of 3 guys made to make a quick buck. It’s also funny the way this is considering that every other part of the website is advanced, improved, and colorful, but no one ever wants to update the U.I. for students. TL:DR Edgenuity is uninspired and generic, that’s why students hate it, not because of some students with an axe to grind

Edgenuity Assignments are extremely outdated, I can hardly understand what the teachers are saying, I keep failing the quizzes because they have the wrong answer listed as the right answer(and vice-versa). Today I failed a pre-quiz on my own religion because of right answers being listed as wrong, Im pretty sure I know my religion better than a website.
The youngest questions be older than me dawg 😭🙏
I HATE EDGENUITY. So... I am in this small group class with like nine kids and one teacher who does all the core classes via Edgenuity. The system is so fucked because the program is designed in a way where they think that you have a separate teacher for each subject, and that is not the case. My teacher gets so stressed out trying to monitor us, do Edgenuity shit, and we flew under the radar not doing our assignments, and our parents blame us for not doing the work instead of this fucked up shitty program.
Trigger warning . . . . . . If you hate edgenuity, go to normal school and complete normal class.
Is that even an option for most people here? Also, even if, wouldn't they be stuck with it until the end of the year?
I only used edge for credit recovery for a quarter during my freshman year (I'm a junior now)
So nonetheless I am ignorant about what edgenuity is really for and made a dumb assumption
