Rural parts of Finland definitely get a LOT of mosquitos. In Lapland you'll practically be eaten alive. My guess would be that Copenhagen and other larger Danish towns have a similar amount of mosquitos compared to Helsinki.
Where there are lakes, swamps etc. there can indeed be a shit ton of mosquitos. But mosquitos apparently don't travel very far, because in urban environments like Helsinki they're not much of an issue.
Hey man long time no see! Hope you are fine. Awesome photos as always! Enjoy!
I'm fine, thank you, and I hope you are doing great too!
All good, all good, thank you my friend.
All the places are around The Old Town Bay (Vanhankaupunginlahti). The towers are in Kalasatama.
Love this place. A beautiful seaside park, arboretum and a research farm (in Viikki, not pictured), all just a rockthrow away from the city proper
Lovely country. Lovely people. Some of the neighbours are assholes though.
Yeah Swedes and Russians🤣
So, no mosquitos?!
Too early for that.
It's still early summer, but Helsinki doesn't get that much mosquitos anyway (at least compared to other parts of the country).
Maybe I should move to Finland then 😄 we already have a lot of mosquitoes here in Denmark.

I was conviced the lakeland gets a shit of mosquitos because of the humidity etc

It is. We've had a month only sunny days. Just 5 hours of clouds and rain during one month. Quite a thing actually.
