Uli, Tuchel learn from Müller....

teuerkatze

It’s insane to me that Tel is on track to play fewer minutes this season than Jamal did when he was 17, particularly when our wingers have been so banged up.

The-Berzerker

Man I remember those comments at the start of the season about Tuchel being better at developing youth players than Nagelsmann. Crazy how the narrative has shifted lmao

cavsking21

Leverkusen are out of this world lucky this season. This over performance is not sustainable, next season they will be in for a rough ride especially adding CL football. If we appoint the correct manager, then we should still be winning the title given we also make the correct squad investments. If Seb had a different last name, I'm almost completely convinced he would have been announced as the next Bayern manager right after Tuchel got sacked. He would be perfect for this team, really encapsulates a Bayern style. I remember a youth scout on here who said he was nothing but a nepotism hire, how wrong was he lmao.

SebRev99

>If Seb had a different last name, I'm almost completely convinced he would have been announced as the next Bayern manager right after Tuchel got sacked. He would be perfect for this team Thank you, Cavsking. I know.

cavsking21

Ha, I needed that with finals week coming up, cheers

teuerkatze

First mod, now manager? I respect the ambition Seb.

julesvr5

Don't ignore the 4 title wins in f1

Flat-Assumption-468

Slightly offtopic but Everton is impressive just for staying up in the Premier league, despite getting multiple points deduction here and there. I'm happy that BuLi doesn't have half of incompetent-ness of PL.

Thraff1c

Gallardo may about to be sacked by Al-Ittihad, and iirc he learnt english last year in anticipation of becoming a coach in europe. Eberl, here is your chance.

Bearclawed81

Would be a ballsy move, and I doubt the old men would ever sign off on it, but it could work. Would be a return to the possession tiki taka kinda style.

julesvr5

I'm not sure whether it's serious or troll but at that point I don't even care anymore

Thraff1c

I think I am serious more than not, but he mainly has a great reputation for his time in argentinia with River Plate, and was rumoured to get a top club in europe 1 or 2 years ago but then went to the Saudis. I myself havent really watched him, but people are very excited about his play, he is the one SebRev was talking about when he said that River fans prefer Demichelis predecesor to him.

SebRev99

Yep. Gallardo had River fans in the palm of his hands because he had River playing like complete BEASTS on the pitch. That River Plate was amazing. BUT.... it's still Argentina, not one of the best leagues in Europe / Champions League. So I don't know, but hey, what do I know? you know?

julesvr5

Thanks for the inside Somehow I expect Rangnick to reject us actually

Odd_Trouble4651

With how its standing and the recent updates and all km pretty sure he will, lol.

Die_Roten_94

>Robert Lewandowski on Carlo Ancelotti's time at Bayern: "It was a new country, a new culture for him. If Carlo were to come to Germany again, he would know exactly what he had to do differently. It's not easy to coach or play in Germany as a foreigner. If Carlo had stayed a bit longer and we had got through the difficult phase with him - then an era would have been possible with him. If he had survived the difficult moment, things would have been easier for everyone afterwards >He's incredibly experienced. You can see it at Real Madrid - the players follow him blindly. Carlo is a great guy who always spoke a lot to the players. He gave me a special feeling. Not just self-confidence, but a feeling that I can take one or two more steps in my career."

ZwakerFaker

He made a good analysis. I think another big factor is that Carlo came right after Guardiola. It's like going from living in a dictatorship to living in anarchy.

OneBeerAndWhiskeyPls

the craziest thing about the leverkusen game is not even the ref on the field, the terrible free kick decision, extra time etc it was a clear handball that led to the goal, not a handball we football fans want called for quite a while now even the slightest touch on the hand/arm of an attacker, which somehow leads to a goal gets called, regardless of intent or hand placement i am with u/BestSingedHawai , we are dealing with refs, who make deliberate decisions to push leverkusen will be interesting to see how this goes next season edit: they are 100% the deserved champions and a baller football team, without any doubt, i wanted to add that

JOKER69420XD

Just saw an interview with Eberl, the way he tries to dance around giving a clear answer, just to not step on Ulis toes, is really funny but also sad, it just shows how little power he has. A clear "that wasn't good, should've been discussed inside the club" would've been enough but even that isn't allowed. Eberl also loves to use the word "Männer", he would probably get along well with Hansi. In reality, i have to cringe every time someone throws around phrases like "real men", Uli probably likes it though.

m3lodiaa

I‘m going to miss Tuchels fighting spirit

jationio

Maybe a fighting spirit on the microphone, on the pitch the team was lacking fighting spirit in the bundesliga.

LurkingW7

His approach was conservative, sure, and he didn't raise the spirit of the squad either but this team/squad lacked fighting spirit from before Tuchel took over.

m3lodiaa

Yes, sidelines, interviews, press conferences - that kind of stuff. Breaking your foot during a motivational speech.

Teffo05

Leverkusen used all there luck this season alot of Ref decisions was in there favour fair enough dont get me wrong deserved champions but i wouldent be surprised if they finish 4th next season.

Goodfella7

I am still mad about the pen where Davies "fouled" Hofmann...

arnoldbread

They definitely not going to be able to compete on 3 fronts next season in the CL, league and cup. They might pull a Dortmund 2013 version and aim for a Deep run in Champions league instead.

CarlSK777

Regression is a motherfucker. It's gonna hit hard next season

LurkingW7

It was wise of Xabi to stay on in Leverkusen. He will face problems and situations he needs the experience to solve and where better than with the invincibles club he led to glory? It was be simultaneously the most difficult season of his managerial career AND the easiest one in which to experience the difficulties to come (regression, egos, transfer issues, etc). The man's got a great head on his shoulders.

tootiredtothinkrnlol

That’s exactly what I said, like this will not be sustainable in the near future and there is a possibility they might not be able to replicate that success. But it’s too soon to say anything until we get to August.

skylu1991

Might be a slight conspiracy theory, but I believe Hoeneß said what he said and attacked Tuchel so directly, so as to make it clear that there won’t be a future with TT at Bayern. A "cutting of ties“ if I ever saw one…

cavsking21

It was absolutely a move to kill the Tuchel back to Bayern support from the fans and it completely backfired because now even Didi and Lothar are on Tuchel's side here. That is not something you say right before a crucial CL match. For everyone complaining about TT's ability to get along with people, he showed a lot of constraint because I could tell he was fucking fuming(as he should be). Not only did Uli lie about him in public, but the situation the team is in was just awful

JOKER69420XD

Or, or, maybe, just maybe, he can't shut up and still thinks he's playing everyone, while in reality it's embarrassing. Why would he do it right before the most important game of the season? That's right because he's just a moron, not the genius he used to be. Age catches all of us and Hoeneß isn't different.

LurkingW7

I give so much latitude to Uli but this was clearly not an instance of genius leadership. Which self-respective manager will want to join the driverless clown-car we have in Munich? Other managers don't see the (relatively) drab tactics, they see a respected manager dragged through mud and not given the players he's begged for and given an insanely small squad and a ton of injuries. Other managers see that... and then they see the new DoF and TD have no say of their own and one of the two elder statesmen of the club straight up slandering the manager a few days before a CL semi-final. I defended Uli yesterday because I though (imprudently) that Tuchel would brush it off. The fact that Tuchel didn't shouldn't have been a surprise, the man isn't intimidated by Bayern or Uli Hoeness and he won't take an insult sitting down. Uli has to apologize and make things right.

kadoooosh

Uli just loves to trash people and in public

FOKvothe

There's ni ulterior mitivies here. Hoeness said exactly what he thought.

OneBeerAndWhiskeyPls

i would like to believe that, but he is just an old man talking shit at this point

Thraff1c

Saying "We wont continue with Tuchel under any circumstance, the decision has been made" would have been too difficult?

skylu1991

No, and I’m not even saying it was right or good from Hoeneß. I just think this was done with a bit of a hidden agenda, that’s all.

Thraff1c

It was just typical Hoeneß, saying stuff to defend the club before thinking what he is saying. He likes to listen to himself too much, which leads to some hiccups.

LurkingW7

You got it correct. Tuchel reacting as he has shouldn't have come as a surprise but it has surprised me. It seems the man feel like he has nothing to lose with Bayern Munich at this point. He doesn't need to play nice or be diplomatic. Uli's inflammatory statements days before a CL semi-final seem so chaotic now.

Hot_Craft_8752

Dortmund - PSG will be an epic Mid-Off

2rsh

Tuchel has owned every interview he ever went to. The man is a magician. Gonna really miss this

diiN1992

>"I don't know what happened. We trained great this week." - Tuchel, week in, week out, after every weak performance Yeah I'm gonna miss that as well

cavsking21

But when JN or Hansi said it, there was no issue there right? Maybe if 3 managers in a row say the same thing there's an issue.

ACardAttack

Even Müller agreed with TT on this Not saying keep TT, just this isn't something to criticize him on

kadoooosh

It’s honestly mind boggling that after almost a year some fans still haven’t figured out the meaning of that phrase

LurkingW7

Every time a lineup is posted there are howls of disapproval no matter who plays. The musical chairs with the CBs was so telling -- no matter who was dropped, some fans would howl... Certain fans will never forgive Tuchel for being hired by the club to replace Nagelsmann. The season's almost over. Usually we get disappointed the show ends but this year I think we're all just waiting for the curtain call.

Frrrroooonck

Let me add: „Congratulations to Leverkusen. The title race is over“ I mean he said what everyone already knew, but you still dont do this. Other than that, his Press conferences were nice

leKosch

So i recently conplained about hainer always saying the same meanlingless stuff. Now i think ulli should take him as an example.

kurtland1961

God is leading our club towards Zidane but our geriatric board would rather hire a bum (in comparison to Zizou) because they speak German

cavsking21

Zidane speaks neither English nor German, he won't be an option for the club and he shouldn't be.

EquestriaGuy_YouTube

Zidane can learn German.

Na-ni_Gap

Amen

neutron_fission

I don't think these Leverkusen's performances will hold up when they'll be in UCL too.

diiN1992

>Harry Kane on the possibility of breaking Robert Lewandowski's record: "It's possible, but obviously I have to get a move on. I've got to maybe score a few goals next week. It's there, it's in touching distance. It depends on the last few games of course. But it was nice to add to it today and score a couple of goals to help the team." 2 braces in the next two games and a hattrick to end the season, why not?

ground_hog_cute

How much would sebastian honeb cost even after his extension?

cavsking21

It would be a HUGE mistake for him to come to Bayern while Uli is still relevant in the club. The media pressure after a stretch of bad games talking about nepotism... not fun to think about.

leKosch

Maybe we could trade hoeneß‘s

flybypost

> honeb Take one, it's on the house: ß

B-Karas

houße

skylu1991

Unless there is an actual clause in his contract, I doubt they would let him go for anything less than 15-20m.

Bearclawed81

15 for Rangnick or 15 for Honeß, I know which one I’m taking. Though I think ideally he has another year or two to develop and then comes.

xnxthemx

I guess it's envy but I hate Leverkusen so much rn for that black magic stuff. Next season needs to be ours mate, hope the board wakes the fuck up and work well during summer.

Minute_Sherbet_816

Everyone rooting and supporting Leverkusen but i'm pretty sure 80% of them didn't even know this team existence before this season, nor they know where Leverkusen is in Germany

jsnamaok

Absolute nonsense, sorry. Leverkusen is one of the most famous teams in Germany.

arnoldbread

Everyone and their Grandmas is a Leverkusen supporter this season

Kingslayer1526

What are you saying? Leverkusen have been in European football for ages now. A lot of those seasons were in the UCL as well. They even made a UCL final this century. They're literally one of THE most well known teams from Germany in the world. Ofc they can't locate where it is on the map and I assure you that 90 percent of football fans won't be able to locate any city anywhere in Germany nevermind Leverkusen but how does Geography skills matter here

Frrrroooonck

Do they really get that much support? I feel like it changed after they won the league and a lot of people are already pissed about their plot armor, late goals and help from the refs.

BestSingedHawai

Someone on twitter said the DFB is sending Zwayer to the Euros so he gets rid of all competition and they play against Gerogia in the finals lmao

kmjredd

I bet Xabi is save scumming FM player.

gitblame_fgc

I am starting to believe Leverkusen matches last as long as they score to draw. You won't convince me ref had to give extra 5 minutes and then still prolonged match for another 3.

MinimumEstimate5487

They scored off a set piece at 95:56… did you want the ref to call the match the moment it hit 95 while they were on attack?

Kingslayer1526

They were awarded the free kick on 95 10. Nubel wasted 1 minute just before that. Not sure what game you were watching

BestSingedHawai

"Sorry the referee is currently busy and not available for the interview" Meanwhile Zwayer "being busy": ![gif](giphy|jWJK4JJiMLYCyPZgPx|downsized)

BestSingedHawai

Sorry about all those refereeing comments, but i just cant believe that performance. Have to let it out somewhere haha

bryndenrivers3ec

Nah man, let it out. Most people outside this sub are happy with them cheating their way to an unbeaten run lol Vindication, when it comes, is going to be sweet.

Izanagi-avatar

Well, at least we kept the record for most points.

BestSingedHawai

Teachers: The bell doesn't dissmis you I do! DFB: The ref doesn't stop the game, Leverkusen do!

Liquefiers

![gif](giphy|hNj7x7JMQI1qg) Bayer dressing room before a game

SilverArrowW01

Well, at least this means we keep the points record…

ground_hog_cute

well thats a plus point. Stuttgart saved our record

0JS

Lot of haters here. Just appreciate what Alonso is doing with this team and watch the magic week in week out.

julesvr5

Haters = complaining about ref mistakes. Gotcha.

HroFCBayern

Yep, I appreciate that dirty ass play! I have nothing with their attackers but fuck their defense.

Fun-Arrival-4130

Can't appreciate daylight robbery

BestSingedHawai

Felix Zwayer, the guy who is known for match fixing back in 05 is allowed to ref high profile games in the highest league. Looks like Felix hasn't changed. Maybe he'll change now.. his house for a mansion when that wire hits

OneBeerAndWhiskeyPls

never forget how he robbed us in the cup final disgrace

Germansoldaten

Manchester City of Germany (as in ref bias)

bryndenrivers3ec

It's fine, let them use up all their luck this season, we'll get them next season.

KA_Bayern

Felix Zwayer being able to ref Bundesliga matches is so insane

bgbayern05

With this draw they can't beat our points record.

Kassim26

The legacy is secure, that's all that matters. 🙏

Fun-Arrival-4130

This the team everyone rooting for lol

lamadam

It almost seems like the refs keep the game going until Leverkusen can equalize.

tootiredtothinkrnlol

Was it 5+ minute of injury time?? I didn’t watch the game properly that’s why.

SC2_4787

It was 5 minutes of injury time and they scored in minute 96.

tootiredtothinkrnlol

Yeahhh, it’s been like that for like every single game where the ref just doesn’t blow the final whistle on time and just waits until Leverkusen scores to end it.

iamiam36

How many time will Guirassy miss 3 sure chances?

pascal007_

This was the most infuriating thing today! Blud scores for fun every game and then misses three absolute sitters today

DeeOhEf

With this, the points record will forever be ours. Was a clear handball btw, should have never counted.

Traditional-Side6966

Stuttgart got scamed in the cup game, where Andrich didn't get sent off for whatever reason, today this happens. No other team deserved it more to end their run

Friendly_Raise9142

Don't forget Hradecky turning into Prime Neuer last time they played in the league

julesvr5

I would happily congratulate them if they do it on there own, but I'm fuming how they are carried week after week by the refs, it's not funny anymore. If this was us, they would call it out publically.

OneBeerAndWhiskeyPls

they truly want the undefeated leverkusen vs bayern narrative for next year

DeeOhEf

For real, I'm just tired of this shit. They make that Real season where they'd win in injury time over and over absolutely laughable. It's so clearly willed by the DFL too, it's just too obvious.

pascal007_

Kossounu dodging the red card this week. Frimpong dodging it lat week. Andrich in the cup. It’s just like all refs want to be part of something big lol

hskch

Can’t wait to expose this Leverkusen side next season

tootiredtothinkrnlol

I wouldn’t be surprised if next season they end up crashing like Napoli did this season bc…who’s gonna bring up sustainability in having more control of the game???

BitchIDrinkPeople

They’ll have the same coach and core of players tho

AstronautOpening8183

But not the same luck of scoring equalisers and winners in the last minute of every match

tootiredtothinkrnlol

True! Completely forgot that, quite dumb on my end. (We don’t know if players might leave or not this summer) But do you think they’ll be able to sustain this unbeaten record coming next season? 🤔

FreeTheLeopards

There's just no way they did it again

KeV1989

Fuck this rigged shit. All so the journalists can gush about "ThE StReAk". Handball not whistled, Leverkusen fouls not whistled, Stuttgart clean tackles being called fouls. Just fuck all this shit

nafets2307

Pretty sure fans of Dortmund or whatever team have said the same thing about us in the last 10-15 years. Stop being delusional, Bayern Dusel is literally the most famous concept in German football. We just called it "mentality of Champions" instead and enjoyed tons of ref mistakes as well over the course of the years. If you genuinely think this is rigged, get some professional help. Edit: bunch of adults crying over a few mistakes. Grow up and move on. It's embarrassing.

HroFCBayern

We never had these type of decisions in our favor. Upamecano sneezes 5 meters away from an opponent striker and gets a red card while Tapsoba can easily jiu jitsu 7 opponent players and guess what, he doesn't even get a yellow card.

Numerous-Ad-3050

You’re not on sports social media enough if you think “rigged” literally means it’s dictionary definition lol

HroFCBayern

Xabi Alonso's time machine worked again. In first run, he lost this 0-3 but then came back and started again to draw this. I got a question though, in Xabi Alonso's changed realities, in which one I achieved the best?

Deneroc

1. How is that a free kick? 2. How is that free kick still given? 3. How is that not a foul?

smikecinco

At this point it’s just getting annoying now

HroFCBayern

They are playing dirty, real dirty. I hate that team. Hopefully next seasons refs will be competent. They can do whatever they want and not get a yellow.

Limp-Ninja-6845

Leverkusen got that big thicc juicy plot armour.

Ivanovic1604

Not a serious ref

pascal007_

Ngl this is the biggest joke ever! This was never a free kick and injury time was already over

Expensive-Carrot1811

Man screw this ref

NoodlePie5687

That's just insane

Kassim26

Man, I've never seen that. It's unbelievable.

CrazyGameOver23

Nah bro this level or black magic needs a class at MIT

PanickingHippo

Pretty sure at this point it’s rigged , no other way they can keep winning games in injury time

CMedina19

After this, they definitely need to finish unbeaten, just accept it and stop rooting for their demise

Germansoldaten

I was happy for Leverkusen at the start of the season, now I am just disappointed. They were meant to be the underdogs but it has turned into just robbery

Stunning-Ad-5564

Why don't they just clear the fucking ball before the fk

DMC777

Every week I get my hopes up

diiN1992

This isn't funny anymore

isaacnewton34

Easiest money of my life

SC2_4787

Handball right before the goal tbh

Spockodile

What’s the rule in that case when his arm is against his body? I can never keep the handball rules straight. Is it still a handball since it’s in lead up to a goal?

julesvr5

In defending: the arm must move towards the ball or expend the body area in an unusual way In attacking: every handcontact is handball I think that's the way it is

Spockodile

I suppose that would feel like a harsh call to them, but it’s another silly example of a referee (or VAR) “interpreting” a black-and-white rule.

SC2_4787

So I've actually looked it up just now to double-check, and as it turns out that's not the case anymore, it was changed at some point. In this situation, since Hincapié didn't score the goal, it's not a handball because his contact is considered unintentional. Even though he literally assisted the goal with his arm, this was technically correct.

julesvr5

Brain dead rule imo

pewpewlasersandshit

WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON !?!?!=?!??!?!??!°?°!??!°?!

BestSingedHawai

BONIFACE TOUCHED IT WITH HIS ARM WTF

OneBeerAndWhiskeyPls

bro what the fuck of course the match fixer gives them another freekick

No_Storage_449

That was not a FK

Insanel0l

Not that it matters really but atleast they cant top our 91 points

Minute_Sherbet_816

LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WTF IS THIS MAN

Spockodile

‘Kusendusel

EvenEalter

geniunely, at some point it feels supernatural man. wtf

m_c__a_t

Given that we aren't in contention anymore, Xabi is so darn easy to root for

Existing_Ad_6764

Refs giving the plot armor

NifferEUW

Lmao this dark magic voodoo shit

Homygod319

Nah this is a joke this needs to be investigated

tacobell_dumpz

You have to be kidding me. At this point, Leverkusen’s invincible season is a part of the football gods’ plan

wineisohsofine

Lol

Tyrath

Lol never in doubt

BestSingedHawai

Of course they score off of that BS freekick

Kassim26

What the hell

Stunning-Ad-5564

How's that a fk

footysocc

bruder das kannst du wirklich keinem mehr erzählen

tootiredtothinkrnlol

I TOLD YOU

EnragedBearBro

rigged af

HroFCBayern

+35 seconds lmao. Horrible job by ref.

No_Storage_449

Absolutely no fuckin way

hskch

Omfg they did it again 💀💀💀

Spockodile

Soft ass FK that.

m_c__a_t

seemed pretty deserved imo

Spockodile

Could be 50/50, but on the replay it looked like they were both jockeying for position and he goes down with very little contact.

footysocc

they're actually losing a match, someone pinch me

Deneroc

You motherfucker

HroFCBayern

Thanks for jinxing

footysocc

🫡

Mammoth-Bat3865

🤏

footysocc

ouch not that hard

EnragedBearBro

its gonna get to 98 mins even though theres only +5 and then leverkusen will score

No_Storage_449

All hail BearBro!

m_c__a_t

you are a prophet

BestSingedHawai

AGAIN. Obviously a goal kick and not a corner. Leverkusen player touched the ball twice before it went out

tootiredtothinkrnlol

Don’t believe the scoreline until the final whistle

NoodlePie5687

What is this refereeing bullshit I am watching again

KeV1989

Across the board the refereeing has declined. Watching Sportschau every week, there are so many questionable calls day in, day out, it's insane

Kassim26

Xabi look pissed lol

ida2469

There are still 4 min

SC2_4787

Bruh Hincapié already got a yellow for elbowing Leweling, now he does it again and doesn't get sent off?

BestSingedHawai

This referee is a complete joke. So many wrong calls that it cant just be bad refereeing

OneBeerAndWhiskeyPls

its zwayer......so i am not shocked at all
