"If you look at it objectively, you don't have to defend Toni - because success proves him absolutely right. Anyone like Toni who plays in the most successful team in recent years is beyond all doubt. His style of play is actually not based on many sideways passes. Toni is someone who actually plays very, very vertically and often looks for the solution forward."
I have to say I cried a little back when he left us.
He could have been the player to create a new era at Bayern.
But when you look at what he achieved in Madrid he definitely made the right decision!
The problem with players like Toni will always be that their base game looks dull but gives other players the time to be where they have to be when the right pass comes!
I miss the days when Bayern had this as a problem instead.
[The Big Debate, Thomas Müller vs. Toni Kroos](https://bleacherreport.com/articles/1327718-fc-bayern-munich-the-big-debate-thomas-mller-vs-toni-kroos)
He has been pushed down by Uli Hoeneß right from the start of his career. Uli never liked him on a personal level.
I'm very sure Kroos decision was made because of the lack of appreciaton and perspective at Bayern.
He recieved that at Madrid, so he is the most loyal, hard working and constant player he can be.
It is what it is and sometimes things just work out this way.
I'm fairly sure that Real would have preferred things work out with Robben too, but they didn't, shit happens.

He was the best player for Madrid yesterday
Doesn't matter what anyone says, in my opinion Kroos is one of the best midfielder of this generation.
Easily one of the best of all time. Generational player. The board dropped the ball hard here.
This is your yearly reminder that Kroos left Bayern because he would not get the same wage as Götze

That goal assisting Wirtz, just amazing
