I feel we have read too much into Rangnick rejecting Bayern. He is getting older and of course would prefer stability over choosing a stressful and volatile job in Bayern. I'm very sure him rejecting Bayern has nothing to do with the board, but rather his own personal preferences. Just a reminder that Rangnick dealt with the United board, which was far worse and perhaps made Rangnick vary of managing clubs for a while.
National team managers have a much higher lifespan than club managers because their tests comes once every 4 years
I mean if I was worried about there being disharmony and being fired from a job before I even accepted it I would be fucking thrilled if it also came with a 3 year contract.
Good lord, I swear some people are unaware of the concept of "time"...
Mourinho left Madrid more than 10 years ago. He has done absolutely nothing noteworthy since and, in fact, the calm period before each meltdown has grown shorter. This is an absolutely outrageous idea (and, for the life of me, can't comprehend that someone would even consider comparing Mourinho to Pep who, for all his flaws, was one of the best managers since Jupp.
Mourinho is still last choice. Much better to gamble on an unproven talent than Mourinho. Still, the only rational choice is 1) Flick if he would have us, 2) Tuchel, if he would have us , then everyone else is suboptimal.
We spent a total of 250 million€ on cbs since 2019 on four players who each one was supposed to be a leader of the backline that takes us to the next level. Yet we haven’t seen much return on investments considering that’s 40% of total spending since 2019 and we have Eric dier as the leader of our defense a player who came for change and is phenomenal, there must be a problem or something needs to change at least in the squad planning process.
Mean while we spent the large sum of 0€ on our midfield that currently consists of (goretzka,Laimer, pavlovic and occasionally guerriro)
Exactly. All that expense on CBs and the board just doesn't want to see that the true problem is in midfield. The rumours are not encouraging either if they want to target Tah.
That's nice. If we ever switch to a 3 man midfield we can use him as a cm however, but I doubt that happens next season. Something like 433 would really suit us with our midfield, but with slight reinforcement.
> Kim wants to stay in Munich, although he would like more backing from the club and more communication with coach and teammates as he feels a bit 'isolated'. There are still steps to be made for his integration.
I worried that this was the case.
The report literally says he’s not going anywhere, not worried.
No my concern was that he wasn’t integrating well including on language, and that him having to start against RM could be a disaster. It was.
And now he’s being blamed for it, which, rightfully or wrongfully is not going to make him feel more at home. Feel bad for the guy.
Paredes reminded me why I dislike a lot of the Argentine players, their antics are so cringe
They have an insane amount of talent, those antics aren’t needed
Most of Argentine people is wonderful, but mate a lot of their players are just unsufferable, and the worst part, they play the victim always.
I remember Emi Martínez celebrating with a baby doll with Mbappe face on it, argentines celebrated it. Messi goes to México for a tournament, the stadium boo him and chant against him, Argentinians lost their mind.
Ufff I lived 4 months in Argentina and can't speak highly enough of the country and it's people. They are fun, friendly, kind... Nonetheless, I really can't stand their football players xD
Agree! My girlfriend is from Argentina and have been 3 times in the country, one of my favourite places on earth after home, but when you talk about football, they become something else not that cool lol
I don't think it was ever specified why he blocked City from signing Barca and Bayern players, but I like to believe it was at least partially based on the fact that (ignoring FFP) Man City could afford to trigger the release clauses of every single player in the Barca squad at the same time.
Yes, but Thiago did not have a clear path to the starting 11 at the time... He was behind Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets in the pecking order, so that might make it easier to digest.
I think the Sheikh would kindly tell us to fuck off if we expressed interest in any of their players after taking Pep. Or quote us €200m for Kyle Walker.
https://m.bild.de/sport/fussball/bayer-leverkusen/bayer-leverkusen-goldene-schale-fuer-bayer-jetzt-spricht-die-dfl-87816770.bildMobile.html?t_ref=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.bild.de%2Fsport%2Ffussball%2Fbayer-leverkusen%2Fbayer-leverkusen-goldene-schale-fuer-bayer-jetzt-spricht-die-dfl-87816770.bild.html
The Meisterschale won’t be gold but they may be given a special cup.
Even that statement is a stretch. Bild is speculating based on a non-statement by the DFL:
> BILD asked the DFL: Is there a plan to present a trophy in gold?
"So far, this case has not been specified in the statutes. The German champion will receive the championship trophy as usual," the league association announced on Tuesday afternoon.
There was a rumor that Ribery would join his team but it was never specifically mentioned that he would be a translator.
I think people just made it up to joke about his language issues.
Guys, listen. I don't want to cause nightmares but I've heard Jogi Löw is not under contract anywhere.
Or maybe we gotta go for Christian Streich.
I really don't know.
For whatever this source may be worth, [TuttoMercato](https://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/serie-a/bayern-monaco-avanti-per-de-zerbi-passi-avanti-parti-al-lavoro-per-trovare-un-intesa-1963771) is reporting that we've taken concrete steps in talks with de Zerbi today.
I have honest to god no idea at this point what source is worth what. I just check the web for things that aren't wildly outlandish and build agendas if there's a source reporting something I like.
I shouldnt care that much, but Leverkusen is such a small team that Im almost mad they are the ones to dethrone us
Every other german team would bring a whole city to Rome and they cant get the away end sold out and had home tickets get into public sale
Sorry for the rant
No, don't be sorry. I fucking wish it was anyone else but them, Leipshit, Hoffenheim or Golfsburg. Why fucking Leverkusen?
It doesn't change they're a nothing team from a nothing place in nowhere owned by a pharmacy corp that's about as evil as it can be. It's even more shit than when Golfsburg won. How is that a football team?
It's just wrong, that's all I can say.
Tah is not Bayern level.. i swear i hope our new board stops prioritizing players just cause they are german. Same with Führich. The only german player from the Bundesliga who belongs here is Wirtz.
He was super promising as a young player, then he was super mediocre for most of his career, now he plays his first good year and he's already on our radar.
Tah was never good enough and he never will be, I would put Stani way above him any day.
He was at one point called the "new Boateng" owing to his passing skills. I wouldn't be against signing him per se, but the board should be focusing on a 6 not a CB.
>The only german player from the Bundesliga who belongs here is Wirtz.
Only if you talk about starters. Plenty of german Bundesliga players could be part of the squad.
Listing out that players that speak a common language with Zidane, it seems like the communication barrier might be more with management than it is with the squad.
Which is fair/reasonable I suppose but frustrating nonetheless.
Might even prove an advantage though. If I recall, a lot of his issues with Perez were that one thing would be said behind closed doors and another publicly which led Zidane to distrust him.
At least with Uli he’d know where he stands because he’ll never shut up.
If the board managed to sign Pep now but he comes in a years time. I wouldn’t give a damn who we got in for the next year. I’d also get down on my knees and tell the board to get in a line. To completion.
Yeah I'd have another trophyless season if it meant Pep returns the next year, just to be able to watch us play like that again would be incredible. Imagine him teaching Musiala how to make better decisions, how good his system would be with a ST like Kane who's so good on the ball, bringing mentality and focus to guys like Upa and Kim who really only have those as weaknesses... Inject it
I don't really want him. My dream would be xabi next year. Do people forget how it went in cl with him? I know we didn't do that much better since but he received the best team in europe and made them play worst
In 2014, he was a disaster but 2015 was down to injuries and 2016 plain bad luck. He was also let down by the board, who failed to bring in a proper CB and took way too long in replacing Robbery. It wasn't as bad as people make it up to be.
We are in an awkward position that we announced Tuchel’s departure too early and now we have ended up with no more better options than him. The lesson should be learnt from the past few years:patience is important and time can solve many problems.
If Roma beat Leverkusen, send the house at De Rossi
On a serious note, that guy will be at Roma forever if they can solve their defensive issues. He’s almost just as loved as Totti to them
> letter printing
I'm assuming this means printing a players number and name on the back of the kit (sry English isn't my first language)
In the store at Marienplatz they offer that service. It's right next to the checkout, so you can't miss it
Leroy already speaks French. As does Serge.
If you go down the list, Mazraoui speaks Arabic (as does Zidane), De Ligt speaks Italian, Kimmich has been taking Spanish lessons for years.
The 20/21 was quite unfortunate since we had injuries to our key players but we could have done better. I don’t even wanna think about 21/22, it breaks my heart. 22/23 just came down to individual mistakes because I don’t really think Tuchel coached a bad game. I hope this is our year, MIA SAN MIA!!
Imagine after all the coach search that we end up with Zidane. /u/Na-ni_Gap deserves to have a statue built in Allianz.
I'd be more than happy if I ever step foot there
I feel we have read too much into Rangnick rejecting Bayern. I would sell my soul for Xabi 25/26
We doing a ritual?
Mourinho or Guardiola
Entertaining season with meltdowns and some ground out results vs Robotic football with individual brilliance being suppressed Give me Mou
Or lightning in a bottle football like his Real Madrid which serves as a platform for when Pep and Carlo return
I am very aware of it We're running out of time to appoint a coach
Mourinho is still last choice. Much better to gamble on an unproven talent than Mourinho. Still, the only rational choice is 1) Flick if he would have us, 2) Tuchel, if he would have us , then everyone else is suboptimal.
My respect for Tuchel has increased so much looking at how he did not lose sight of the CL even after Uli’s comments
At this point uli made sure that tuchel won't extend , so it's a thank you and bye ![gif](giphy|dvU73impCIEKoDcCHE)
So, who’s the next coach candidates now?
We spent a total of 250 million€ on cbs since 2019 on four players who each one was supposed to be a leader of the backline that takes us to the next level. Yet we haven’t seen much return on investments considering that’s 40% of total spending since 2019 and we have Eric dier as the leader of our defense a player who came for change and is phenomenal, there must be a problem or something needs to change at least in the squad planning process. Exactly. All that expense on CBs and the board just doesn't want to see that the true problem is in midfield. The rumours are not encouraging either if they want to target Tah.
I mean at least tah is 20 mil not that expensive like the rest yk but if he comes I’m guessing upa is gonna be looking for a new home
We also sold Hummels who would be our best CB
Hummels wanted to go afaik. So didn’t make much sense to keep him imo.
Yeah Hummels wanted out because we spent 80m on Lucas and let Kovac tell him he wouldn't be a starter.
Am watching the bts video of the Madrid game and, wow, the reception of the bus from the fans was wild. Great scene.
Crazy
On another note, so glad to see English clubs losing on the big European stage. May that trend continue onwards.
gotta say that i didnt expect aston villa to get cooked at home
Apparently De Jong also played CB extensively at Ajax? I did not follow him there but he's quality.
Eredivisie attacking quality is nowhere close to Bundesliga attacking quality
Yeah but didn't he also come to the UCL semi final? Was he a midfielder in Europe throughout ? And apparently he's played CB in some Barca Games too.
I think he was a CM in that 2019 Ajax UCL at least in the important matches I haven’t heard great things about him when he played as CB in Barcelona
That's nice. If we ever switch to a 3 man midfield we can use him as a cm however, but I doubt that happens next season. Something like 433 would really suit us with our midfield, but with slight reinforcement.
Leverkusen almost clinched a spot in the final. I'll be sad if Bayern and to an extent, Dortmund, can't do it
Good night! Hope i wake up to some Tim Walter news.
You’re gonna wake up to some Walter White news instead ![gif](giphy|ffXJWN9NRGg0w)
> Kim wants to stay in Munich, although he would like more backing from the club and more communication with coach and teammates as he feels a bit 'isolated'. There are still steps to be made for his integration. I worried that this was the case.
Bild gonna Bild.
Bayern has done so much marketing materials for Kim this shouldn't be true at all
They’re not doing that marketing for him lol
Yes it's for the fans but like he has to prove he's more than just a marketing signing
Kim ain’t going anywhere why are u worried?
The report literally says he’s not going anywhere, not worried. No my concern was that he wasn’t integrating well including on language, and that him having to start against RM could be a disaster. Is this not another clickbait?
Heung Min Son as Kim’s friendship signing we’ll be there no matter what
I'd say now would be the right time to fix it in case De Ligt isn't fit for the second match and he has to play.
Tottenham being Tottenham, they had something at the beginning of the season and now they’re dead af.
Leverkusen is really going to win the Europa league undefeated while fielding their #2 choice GK huh?
Paredes reminded me why I dislike a lot of the Argentine players, their antics are so cringe They have an insane amount of talent, those antics aren’t needed

>Paredes I really, really dislike him. When I see that fuck I remember how he and N*ymar chestbumped in front of Josh. Two donkeys.
Neymar has the most punchable face I have seen of any player. Insufferable cunt.
Same but Xhaka
Have never like Paredes for that reason.
Since when did Andrich start scoring all these bangers man lol
Leverkusen's build-up phases are truly brilliant
RTL + has the worst Commentators the amount of glazing over Leverkusen + the nonstop talking lol
The EL/ECL conference today is absolutely amazing! Every game bar the Leverkusen one is a complete banger.
Hypothetically speaking Pep were to come back here you'd think he'd bring some City players as well ?
No but he would 100% request Wirtz
Pep has a thing about not bringing players from former clubs
I don't think it was ever specified why he blocked City from signing Barca and Bayern players, but I like to believe it was at least partially based on the fact that (ignoring FFP) Man City could afford to trigger the release clauses of every single player in the Barca squad at the same time.

Bring Haaland with him and play a filthy 4-4-facking-2 with Kane and him upfront. Would be honestly peak
If Nevelosen do really go undefeated do they get a gold meisterschale? What about a gold Europe trophy too?
No. Why would they?

Probably get a Platinum trophy.
I still don’t see how Zidane-Ribery is a bad idea
Language blah blah…
I still don't get where the Ribery connection is coming from. Do people seriously mean him as translator??
https://youtu.be/5WdofLhhn_o?si=bmENE3Zasz0fol1- Other than being WC 2006 teammates, haven't found anything. Could they be good friends?
It was reported that Ribery was his “go between” when talking about Bayern, paired with the fact that Ribery is interested in coaching.
There was a rumor that Ribery would join his team but it was never specifically mentioned that he would be a translator. I think people just made it up to joke about his language issues.
Ah gotcha, thanks
Guys, listen. I don't want to cause nightmares but I've heard Jogi Löw is not under contract anywhere. Or maybe we gotta go for Christian Streich. I really don't know.
Streich would be a deserving replacement for Tuchels PK‘s
Löw rejected us, fully unprompted, in February. He's the Lucky Luke of Tuchel succession candidates, he rejected us faster than his own shadow.
i'd be so damn ashamed of myself if I dove like that
mr good ebening is gettin schooled by olympiacos btw
bad ebening so far ![img](emote|t5_2sgxj|17992)

Bayern Monaco lol
Damn remember when Mónaco was some good team? What happened to them?
I remeber how they got dismantled during transfer window after that great season
Monaco is the Italian term for Munich. Nothing to laugh about.
Yeah, the city is called Monaco in Italian just like it's called Munich in English.
I hope this source is worth 0
Few weeks ago some people here (including me) wanted him here. How fast things change
At some point we need a coach though.
Are you saying there's a chance you'll have other plans by July?
😏

>Leverkusen getting absolutely outplayed and should be down 2-0 Yep, this has another shithouse 90'+until-they-score-win written all over it!
I shouldnt care that much, but Leverkusen is such a small team that Im almost mad they are the ones to dethrone us Every other german team would bring a whole city to Rome and they cant get the away end sold out and had home tickets get into public sale Sorry for the rant
That’s disappointing damn
Fan wise: yes. But performance wise I rather lose to then than to Dortmund
No, don't be sorry. I fucking wish it was anyone else but them, Leipshit, Hoffenheim or Golfsburg. Why fucking Leverkusen? Don‘t they go back to factory workers playing football together? Up until the 70s.
Frimpong 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Tah is not Bayern level.. i swear i hope our new board stops prioritizing players just cause they are german. Same with Führich. The only german player from the Bundesliga who belongs here is Wirtz.
Gruda would be a good signing, better then Führich I’d wager
Fuhrich would not be a bad buy
He was super promising as a young player, then he was super mediocre for most of his career, now he plays his first good year and he's already on our radar. Tah was never good enough and he never will be, I would put Stani way above him any day.
He was at one point called the "new Boateng" owing to his passing skills. I wouldn't be against signing him per se, but the board should be focusing on a 6 not a CB.
>The only german player from the Bundesliga who belongs here is Wirtz. Only if you talk about starters. Plenty of german Bundesliga players could be part of the squad.
Yeah true. You cant have only stars in the team.
Lukaku is build like Süle..
If Süle was made out of muscles then yes, he'd be like Süle. But Süle is not made out of muscles.
Are you saying McDonalds doesnt give muscles??
Wasn't it Burguer King, lol?
maybe if you take the nuggets over big macs
Sadly not, otherwise I'd live the Süle way of life too
Listing out that players that speak a common language with Zidane, it seems like the communication barrier might be more with management than it is with the squad. Which is fair/reasonable I suppose but frustrating nonetheless.
Advantage Zidane: he won't understand the shit Uli is speaking in interviews.
uli wouldnt dare or else ![gif](giphy|pOIPNIZk0qM1i)
Might even prove an advantage though. If I recall, a lot of his issues with Perez were that one thing would be said behind closed doors and another publicly which led Zidane to distrust him. At least with Uli he’d know where he stands because he’ll never shut up.
A clash between Uli and Zidane it's something I'd love to see... far far far away from Bayern tho.
Rewatching clips of Mou‘s Real makes you kind of interested in the idea…
Then watch any of his teams in the past 10 years and reasses
Yeah thats always in the back of my mind
I like him as a person he's very entertaining but he is way too defensive and he would get into fights w guys like Uli and Kalle on a weekly basis
His stint at real was anything but defensive
Yes but that was over 10 years ago his style has changed a lot
Yup
Do we get a rivals watch for the Europa league? Leverkusen and all…
I made one
If the board managed to sign Pep now but he comes in a years time. I wouldn’t give a damn who we got in for the next year. I’d also get down on my knees and tell the board to get in a line. To completion.
Is Pep a thing now? I don't see any rumours about him
No I think it’s just copium in here. One single article from Frankfurt news or something
Inject it
Eughhhh you basically just made me sad because that is such a dream
Sorry buddy, I been day dreaming about it too if that helps
I’ve been dreaming about Pep ever since he left man.
Agree. If Pep 100% comes next year I would get flick for a season. Or try Maric
Eughhh it’s a dream man. I don’t think his time here is finished honestly - but I don’t know if he has closed that chapter.
Never quit your job if you don't have one in hand already..
We did it first with Brazzo, now with Tuchel
best time to look for a new job is while you have one hope you didn't learn that the hard way 🫠
fuck it, I'll start my Pep agenda now ![gif](giphy|17r84LXhGZtoWJIlhY)
I don't really want him. My dream would be xabi next year. Do people forget how it went in cl with him? I know we didn't do that much better since but he received the best team in europe and made them play worst

>Pep Agenda I don’t think there’s many people you need to convince lmao
We have a guy on here who said us appointing Pep was the worst decision we ever made lol
This season alone we probably made at least 100 decisions worser than hiring Pep lmao.
Yes I blocked this guy
Smart man
wait why can't I read jsnamaok's comments anymore
https://preview.redd.it/5y7whh9892yc1.jpeg?width=1016&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2bad3ffa45dc6d3d1a7801f1a4658a2addec7fa8
![gif](giphy|d2r5afIHy34mWTM8r4|downsized)
fair lmao although I've actually seen some guys who wouldn't want him back
Yeah but these guys get downvoted to oblivion, so I think anti-Pep notions aren’t so popular lol
the way it's supposed to be 😇
As if he would come back to the same Uli who would rule out his transfer wishes, again.
bro don't pop my dream before it even began
You are replacing the "Announce Zidane" guy.
it would be an honor
I grant you my blessing
We are in an awkward position that we announced Tuchel’s departure too early and now we have ended up with no more better options than him. The lesson should be learnt from the past few years:patience is important and time can solve many problems.
Soooooo Hansi then?
Either that or the board begs Jupp to come out of retirement for a third time
As a Boca Jrs. fan, imma be cheering for Roma tonight... sorry Bayer but I'm tired and jealous of your black magic.
Damn that's crazy bro. Wrong sub btw
If Roma beat Leverkusen, send the house at De Rossi On a serious note, that guy will be at Roma forever if they can solve their defensive issues. He’s almost just as loved as Totti to them
Hi! I’m visiting München in July, and would like to know if they offer in-house letter printing at any of the stores?
You can visit the store in the Allianz Arena they do name printing and you can visit the museum
> letter printing I'm assuming this means printing a players number and name on the back of the kit (sry English isn't my first language) In the store at Marienplatz they offer that service. It's right next to the checkout, so you can't miss it
1). Buy more French players 2). Hire a translator for Musiala and Kane 3). Profit
Theo Hernandez and Barcola check, send Leroy to intensive french classes, double check.
Leroy already speaks French. As does Serge. If you go down the list, Mazraoui speaks Arabic (as does Zidane), De Ligt speaks Italian, Kimmich has been taking Spanish lessons for years.
>Kimmich has been taking Spanish lessons for years. I wonder why? I don't want to see him under any Spanish team.
He said he likes to challenge himself and it was fun for him to learn a new language and use it to speak to teammates.
it's imminent... Ribedane is coming. ![gif](giphy|6WLvYaUopWCf91t0I6|downsized)
By the way, the save Neuer made against Kroos shot, was that a normal save or really good save from him??
Good save but one he should make imo. Has to react quickly to the deflection but it also brings the ball more central
Agreed, the deflection made that a lot more difficult, otherwise it'd be a pretty simple shot for a professional of his level
Idk but the jump was beautiful.
if you really deep it 3 finals in 4 years was mad man 2010,2012,2013. Obviously inter was really good but we should have won the chelsea one
The Chelsea one was black magic at its finest. Still Neuer taking a pen in a Champions league final is GOATed
Meanwhile in the last 4 years: only one semifinal and it's this one.
The 20/21 was quite unfortunate since we had injuries to our key players but we could have done better. I don’t even wanna think about 21/22, it breaks my heart. 22/23 just came down to individual mistakes because I don’t really think Tuchel coached a bad game. I hope this is our year, MIA SAN MIA!!
we got unlucky in 21 with lewa, gore and gnabry injuries we would have made it to the semis.
Crazy to think a decade ago every top manager would line up to potentially manage us and now we’re getting rejected left and right 😭😭
10 years ago different managers where available, there just aren't many good ones worth pursuing/available
Recruiting for the circus is tough
Because we've contacted the wrong managers
