After the Second West Russian War ending in the FSSR's victory, end the success of OFN Operation "SHIELD OF EUROPE", which was a series proxy rebelions and CIA-led sabotage campaigns against the Triumvirate and Italy's stagnating regime which culminated in a bloody civil war and the UNAT and FSSR occupation and seizure of Italian nuclear arsenals. The world became a different place, as all of the major superpowers strive for the stars and total world domination, as science collides with politics and creates wonders beyond imaginable and the horrors beyond comprehension.
In the year 1988, the FSSR is a sleeping giant, as it once again shed blood in it's recent quarrel with the German Reich, the Politburo and the Imperial Council of Japan decided that the best move was to sign the Eurasian Accord agreement carving up central asia to the Socialist Bloc and the rest was left for the picking of the Japanese. This made sense to the Japanese as recently the Protectorate of Menjiang collapsed in the Fourth Mongolian War, with Soviet unmarked mercenaries seizing government buildings and the Japanese military being repelled from the region and for 4 years Menjiang was known as the separatist state of "the Mongolian Autonomous Soviet Federative Socialist Republic." An agreement was reached: The FSSR will annex the Mongolian ASFSR but the Japanese Empire would maintain their resource rights in the region, additionally, the Mongolian-Chinese and Manchu border was partially demilitarised with the FSSR unable to place nuclear armaments within a certain radius from the border and limitations on the amount of units both units may place in the area.
However not all is calm, as the Japanese accepted the Accord and the East was temporarily passifyed, the West was aflame the UNAT alongside with the OFN military command began the execution of Operation "American Bubble", with military intervensions in the previously Pro-Iberian and Pro-Italian countries which for a long while were the strongholds of fascism in the region. Now with Germany and Italy gone and Iberia on the side of the OFN, UNAT military crushed any potential counterattacks and established the United Central American Technate or UCAT for short.
Glenn emerged after RFK's double term, so in terms of civil rights it as free and stable as it could be. The only thing he did that is sort of unusual was to bump up government spending on the previously underfunded CIA and the FBI and drastically decreased military spending in favor of NASA and the US Science Committee in order to challenge the FSSR's People's Kommissariat of Science and win the race to Mars.
Basically, Glenn and his successor Daniel Goldin, are all for Technocracy and are big science freaks, just not as radical as to conduct GULAG human experiments like the Soviets.
Great idea! Can you tell me more about the UNAT? Why is only part of Mexico in it? Also was there a second German-Russian conflict after the second West Russian war?
Well it inspired me but this idea actually lives on and I now post it on the Second West Russian War discord server. This is the first version of the timeline (very unrealistic) but the one in the server is much more realistic
