Yeah I had the smoked cheese ones today for the first time. Got them on sale at the supermarket, they’re definitely not bad, but the Johnsonville ones are $.50 more and much better imo.
Never tried the Oscar’s ones , I grew up eating this brand so that’s why I was wondering what was wrong with them. They taste good to me, of course there is better but they are good still.
Yeah I don’t get the hype for them. I’ve had them multiple times and they’re just not good. I’ve seen some people claim they’re the best and listed specifically that American cheese filled hot dog they make. Which sounds worse than the original to me.
I love a grilled dog, so I usually do 'em that way. I got a Blackstone griddle and that's awesome too. The griddle is more of an old school Nathan's way of doing it.
I’m not a fan of pineapple in savory food but somehow Gilbert’s Aloha flavor, pineapple-ginger-brown sugar, is excellent. Not sweet, they nailed the combo. Bonus, they’re individually wrapped and last forever.
Maybe I'm half in the bag but what if you sizzled em with some beer kinda situation really help the pineapple mellow out. I imagine it would be very frickin tasty
A little pineapple juice is an excellent addition to a beef marinade that is otherwise mostly soy + brown sugar + garlic + ginger + black pepper, and a bit of heat.
Hebrew National. I’ve got some in the fridge right now and they’re the best I’ve ever had. Except for the local brand Zweigles. I’ve honestly never been a fan of Eckrich hot dogs.
I always eat food - given the choice - in ascending order of preference, saving the best for last. So, for me, that would be HN, then Aidell, then Gilbert, then Jalapeño Cheddar.
Jalapeño Cheddar if I can only choose one, like you said.
I've had the jalapeno cheddar B4 and there great especially with nacho cheese or a creamy chipotle sauce that taco bell sells, there one of my favorites. I've also had the Hebrew national...I sat try one out of each pack.
I just tried those eckrich jalapeño cheddar ones. They don't have much jalapeño and aren't spicy at all. Come to think of it they really don't have any kind of a flavor.
I'd go with the Anne Franks. I've tried the Gilbert's and they just feel insubstantial. The upper left look too close to those Johnsonville precooked brats, and I've never tried the Aidells, but they're chicken.
I cut the jalepeno cheddar ones into chunks, wrap them in puff pastry, hit em with a little everything bagel seasoning and bake em. Makes friggin delicious pigs in a blanket
Hebrews. On a side note, I like the Eckrich but they aren't as good as they were maybe 10 years ago. They changed. But I just ate 3 Eckrich dogs 15 minutes ago, so.....
Just go ahead and throw those Aidells in the trash. Don't even waste your time opening the package.
Tried them once and they were so full of gristle I couldn't finish eating it.
Hebrew National for the win.
W City
All day everyday
Yeah, sometimes basic is best.
So that's what a Hebrew national is. This solves a long time misunderstood punchline for me. Thanks op.
I do love the Aidells Chicken&Apple. Curious about this Garlic&Gruyere.
My folks and I like the chicken and apple as well
I love Gruyere on anything!
They are killer
It’s great. I love using them in a sheet pan recipe (veggies potatoes and those with some seasonings).
They’re great. I did them with steak kabobs tonight
Damn. Haven’t had one of those in 20 years.
There is only one package of hotdogs shown here
You're right and I'm ashamed
Any one besides the Eckrich. Stay away from those.
Why is that?
Lips and assholes.
Those are the best parts!
I second this question, what’s wrong with that brand??
I’ve tried a few of their products, subpar quality. Not terrible, but there are many brands that taste better.
Yeah I had the smoked cheese ones today for the first time. Got them on sale at the supermarket, they’re definitely not bad, but the Johnsonville ones are $.50 more and much better imo.
I think they are better than Oscar Meyer. My opinion.
Never tried the Oscar’s ones , I grew up eating this brand so that’s why I was wondering what was wrong with them. They taste good to me, of course there is better but they are good still.
Agreed. Nothing wrong with Eckrich but there is much better.
Eckrich is owned by Smithfield which is owned by a Chinese company. They pollute Carolina waterways and all the profits go to China.
Yeah I don’t get the hype for them. I’ve had them multiple times and they’re just not good. I’ve seen some people claim they’re the best and listed specifically that American cheese filled hot dog they make. Which sounds worse than the original to me.
Roasted garlic and Gruyère sounds bomb.
It does but reality not as good as it sounds unfortunately.
You have one hot dog out of the bunch. HN. The rest are sausage
The jalapeno cheddar for ol times sake
Only recently discovered jalapeño and cheddar and damn they are amazing (in general never had this brand).
You need to find Boar’s Head brand with the natural casing. Those are my current go to’s. Excellent snap and absolutely delicious
Hebrew National
Hebrew National every time. those cook up so well and taste soooooooooooo good!
Curios how do you like to cook them?
I love a grilled dog, so I usually do 'em that way. I got a Blackstone griddle and that's awesome too. The griddle is more of an old school Nathan's way of doing it.
Cool thanks for the advice!
I’m not a fan of pineapple in savory food but somehow Gilbert’s Aloha flavor, pineapple-ginger-brown sugar, is excellent. Not sweet, they nailed the combo. Bonus, they’re individually wrapped and last forever.

A little pineapple juice is an excellent addition to a beef marinade that is otherwise mostly soy + brown sugar + garlic + ginger + black pepper, and a bit of heat.
I saw those. I'm getting them next.
Those are very good
Hebrew National. I’ve got some in the fridge right now and they’re the best I’ve ever had. Except for the local brand Zweigles. I’ve honestly never been a fan of Eckrich hot dogs.
Stack them dogs high
hebrew national!
Hebrew National Jumbo are my favorite.
Hebrew national for sure. They rest is sausage. They literally say this on the packaging.
I guess the Aidells, though it's usually more of a dinner sausage for myself.
I always eat food - given the choice - in ascending order of preference, saving the best for last. So, for me, that would be HN, then Aidell, then Gilbert, then Jalapeño Cheddar. Jalapeño Cheddar if I can only choose one, like you said.
dope thank you
Hebrew is one of my favorite. Aidells is great too. Haven't had the other two before.
Lunch is Hebrew national, the rest can be for dinner
Or sliced thin and fried, and then tucked under scrambled eggs.
Well you only got one pack of hot dogs so it’s not a hard choice…
I've had the jalapeno cheddar B4 and there great especially with nacho cheese or a creamy chipotle sauce that taco bell sells, there one of my favorites. I've also had the Hebrew national...I sat try one out of each pack.
Bourbon Apple
Surprise me. They all look good.
My goodness garlic and gruyere glizzies?!?!?! I'm in
All look weird except for one.
I’m a sucker for chicken apple sausage.
Ok, but I think only the bottom right are dogs…
Hebrews
Hebrew National
Hebrew National
Hebrew national
Hebrew National. I love Aidell’s but I found that flavor tasteless and I love Gruyère cheese.
Prepare for sausage burps…..
Did you hit a scratch off lottery ticket? Your rollin
I'll take the OG and one of them bourbon apple
Heebs. Can’t go wrong with a heeb.
I just tried those eckrich jalapeño cheddar ones. They don't have much jalapeño and aren't spicy at all. Come to think of it they really don't have any kind of a flavor.
They were pretty bland tbh
Go for the lobster and small animal cartilage.
The Gilbert's are AMAZING
Gilbert’s are great!
The bourbon apple
Aidelles
I'd go with the Anne Franks. I've tried the Gilbert's and they just feel insubstantial. The upper left look too close to those Johnsonville precooked brats, and I've never tried the Aidells, but they're chicken.
They’re all awesome but the Aidells is my favorite. I love them on a Kaiser roll with sautéed peppers and mustard.
Gruyere and Garlic, hell yeah!
I cut the jalepeno cheddar ones into chunks, wrap them in puff pastry, hit em with a little everything bagel seasoning and bake em. Makes friggin delicious pigs in a blanket
I only want to pick one… Hebrew national
Heebs, but those Aidells are interesting. I love gruyere!
I am going to be hunting that Eckrich jalapeño & cheese package down. Have not seen that on here, but I have not looked closely either.
Eckrich is owned by Smithfield which is owned by a Chinese company. They pollute Carolina waterways and all the profits go to China.
“You can only pick one” ..One of each
Hebrew Nationals 4 the win
The roasted garlic ones sound fire
Aidells are tasty but the HN is just a staple
chicken ...why
Jalapeño
Hebrew National is always my go to Weiner!
Aidells
Jalepeno & cheddar!!
Aidelis is a bomb company, but try their andouille sausage
The H.N. are the only real hotdogs shown… so they‘re the clear choice by default.
Jalapeño cheddar heat it up in the microwave throw it on a piece of bread with some ketchup
Well only two are hotdogs and one is made with peckers and lips as they say. Hebrew national, not a contest.
Jalapeno ,cheddar
I eat those bourbon apple ones with cream cheese
Hebrews. On a side note, I like the Eckrich but they aren't as good as they were maybe 10 years ago. They changed. But I just ate 3 Eckrich dogs 15 minutes ago, so.....
Hebrew nationals all day every day
Jalapeño Cheddar
There’s only one choice of those four and it’s Hebrew National’s Jumbo Beef Franks!
Hebrew National every time. Can’t go wrong with Kosher All Beef.
Aidells is so good, my choice :)
Just go ahead and throw those Aidells in the trash. Don't even waste your time opening the package. Tried them once and they were so full of gristle I couldn't finish eating it.
