My cat is a maniac plant moncher, so I have to do the same thing. It's actually one of the reasons I started getting into calatheas though; sometimes, he'll sneak a bite when I'm watering them, and it's just nice to know that it won't hurt him at all

Aw I feel for you! My current cat could care less about my plants, she doesn't monch as long as I have cat grass within reach. I actually decided not to get another cat, but a puppy instead, because I couldn't take the gamble of having a real wild child go after my plant collection. Lol, my cat would be all over this corner. The dangling cables, the plants, the water, the stands with places to hook her lil paws, the blocked window access, the small things she’d wanna squeeze back towards and sniff, the fact that she could sit inside/under the table and attempt to grab things from below. It’s like a cat amusement park.

All points were made lol usually this corner is left untouched due to her car corner being directly in front of this area but it failed this time

Ugh! My cat literally did this today too! She hasn’t messed with the plants in the year and a half I’ve had her, but today she decided she needed to be on the top shelf of my stand. She knocked one of the three on top off (luckily it wasn’t one of the two Madagascar jewels that I’ve been growing from seedlings for the last 4 years) and broke off one of the leaves on my thanksgiving cactus 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ ETA: yes, I am aware that Madagascar jewels are not pet friendly if they eat them, which is another good thing she didn’t knock those down.

You can’t prove without a doubt it was the cat. Those plants were sitting dangerously on the edge. It very well could have been a draft or vibration from nearby traffic. For all we know the leaves could’ve stretched to the sun and collided with each other. We’re going to have to bring you in for questioning.

I have cat grass stations around the house. My cat has learned she can eat those without issue. She leaves the rest of my plants alone. She also has a large, flat planter in a window that she can sit in so she can get dirty. She also enjoys trays for seedlings. She is a sophisticated girl.

That is a questionable setup even without pets, wow. The tray full of water doesn't do anything, so it's probably a good idea to get that away from anything electrical.

The tray adds humidity and the rocks hold it down with the putty that is keeping it in place. I do agree the speaker is in a bad spot though
